Borchardt's Gas grill Repair & Cleaning

I am so disappointed with this company. Last year they did a fine job. This year the left grease stains on my patio stone. They would not return my attempts to get them to look at the problem. They also sent me two late payment notices so far when we had paid them by check the day of service. I don’t know if this is new management or they have got so many reviews they just don’t care. Beware!!!!

Never underestimate the value of a good cleaning! I thought I might need new burners as one was not lighting completely and one was burning very yellow. But the cleaning solved both problems and saved the considerable expense of replacing them. I also did not get the promised email or call the night before, but Johnathan did arrive on the afternoon requested. Perhaps additional administrative help is needed, but overall this is a great service. I think I will have the cleaning once a year.

I specifically indicated that my grill needed both cleaning and repair. They did an acceptable (but not exceptional) job of cleaning my grill (not sure it was worth what I paid). However, I am still waiting for them to come back to me with information on the repair. The cleaning guy told me that two of my burners needed replacing and one of the igniters needed repair. He actually removed the two burners. I have no idea where they went. He also said that someone would contact me with a quote for the repair work. I have heard nothing from them over a week later. That's consistent with my experience up front with them. It took quite a while to hear from them when I tried to book the work, then they said that they would email me the day before to let me know when they would come. No email. Very, very unprofessional business.

Responsivemense and sense of urgency was slow. The grill cleaning was fine, but after the cleaning, and replacement of the two valves and burners, those two valves and burners had excessively hight flames, and even on the lowest setting were substantially higher than the other three burners. The employees that did the repairs and Borchardt's said it was just grease on the flame tampers. The only way to keep the grill below 500 degrees was to turn those two burners off. After a year of trying to figure out the problem, with the help of the manaufacturer (Lion Premium Grills) I discovered Borchardt's installed natural gas valves on my LP gas grill. I emailed them a week ago requesting a refund of the part cost and installation charge ($202) for their error, and there has been no response.

When you call, A REAL PERSON ANSWERS THE PHONE which I really appreciate. She set up an appointment for a few days later. They charge $145 if he can fix it on the spot, which he was able to do. My grill is now fixed and I am pleased and I recommend this company. My only suggestion is that they should call if he is running late. Spring is their busy season so honestly I am just grateful that they could work me in. If you can schedule your repair or cleaning for fall or winter, I don't think lateness would be a problem.

Grills were very clean. Some trash was not cleaned up. Otherwise very satisfied.

Extremely well. Two gentleman arrived on time and got to work right away doing a thorough cleaning. The grill was really dirty - cooked on grease that had dripped all through it. They took it apart and steam cleaned some of the parts and did the rest by hand with a vacuum and some type of chemical to cut through the grease and grime. They were here about 2 1/2 hours and I was shocked at how clean they got it! It almost looked like new. All the grease and grime was gone and it shined all over. The men were very nice also, polite and professional. I would definitely use them again.

The experience and service was not good.

Unbelievably good job. The grill is approaching four years old and I use it between 3-4 times a week. Everything looks brand new. I had no idea this was even possible.

We have used this company and in particular this serviceman before. He remembered us when he repaired our Weber Grill. He was professional and got the job done. He identified the problem immediately and most importantly there are no more problems with the gas supply anymore. Job well done.

We had a late afternoon appointment slot. Service tech was a no show so we called the business at 5:30 to see if they were still coming. At that point they told us that they could not make the appointment and would have to reschedule for the following day. The following day they spent about 30 minutes on the diagnosis and making the repair but charged us for an hour of labor in addition to a $30 "trip fee." All in all we had to burn two days waiting around for them to show up and based on the amount of time it actually took them did not feel that I received a good value for the amount that we paid. Also took them a month to work us into their schedule. Will likely go with a different company next time to see if we have any better experience.

Job done very professionally and in a timely manner

My only concern is that i was not given a time for arrival. I was told "late afternoon." I happened to be home all day but this really limits your ability to get other stuff done while waiting. I would have preferred something like between the hours of ... Anyway, Jon was very professional and diagnosed the problem immediately. He changed out the damaged supply hose and now the grill works perfectly. Turns out, Jon had been to our house several years ago to repair our Weber grill which since then continues to work perfectly. I would use them for any gas grilling concerns. I think the price was reasonable given his time. I didn't feel cheated at all. He even explained the searing and rotisserie parts of the grill. Highly recommend.

I considered it reasonable. He did everything across the board. It's holding well.

Yikes, why did I wait so long to have this done? Jonathan Borchardt and two-man crew had my gas 30" Lynx looking and working like new in no time. Parts were required, but since I was original owner Jonathan called factory on my behalf, to see if warranty would kick in. Prompt return of online request for service, easy to set up an appointment. They cleaned up after themselves, and left no trace on my porous flagstone patio that they had ever been here. Jonathan's on my A-list.

Everything went as scheduled without any issues. Mr Borchardt, is personable and an honest contractor. He has the knowledge and experience to do the job correctly. I chose him because of his A rating on Angie's List., and his BBB rating.

My grill hasn't worked this well in years!!! We had a complete overhaul on our built in gas grill. He also worked on our gas lights. What a great guy. So pleased with his services. I would highly recommend him!

Came to look and provide an estimate. Gave honest view of what was worth doing and why. Estimate was fair based on extensive work that needed to be completed. Grill looks brand new as a result and works great.

The worker arrived on time, and checked out the problem. He ascertained the parts he needed to order and let me know the approximate time frame for it's delivery date. He said he would call when he received the parts to reschedule the installation. Two weeks later he called and came out the next day to complete the work. He fully cleaned the entire grill and checked carefully for further complications. I was most pleased with his assessment and we planned to replace different parts next year when he returns for a further check up. I would recommend them to anyone.

We called Borchardt's Gas Grill Repair to give our grill a throughout cleaning. He called me back the same day, and we were able to schedule a time on my regular day off. He arrived on time, and as he was cleaning, he noticed a break in the hose. This would explain the other problem we had had with the grill. He replaced the part at a reasonable price. He is very professional and his work is top-notch. So glad we found him through Angie's List!

Our built in grill was not igniting properly, combined with burner sketchy performance. They responded promptly to my call to assess problem. Much to our surprise, all it needed was a good cleaning and some screws tightened. No replacement parts were required. That spoke volumes to us about the honesty and integrity of this company. We will definitely continue to use and recommend them.
