Terrible company. From the top down. They underbid your project, expect you to source and deliver to them single material used, charge you extra for things they forgot in the bidding. Take your money, and not deliver what they say they will deliver. They are incompetent. Do not hire.

Description of Work: I had my kitchen remodeled, all interior doors replaced , dining room, living room and bedroom repainted, living room and closet ceilings repaired ( due to leak from AC in attic) , replaced several full length windows ( wood damage/ rot in frames) , refinished floors in rooms worked on. I kept a time line on this project and information cited here is accurate . | They do not use a contract but an agreement stating in detail the work to be done .they did go over this with me to be approved line by line the language not too technical . If you change your mind or what you want and assumed would occur is not specified. , then additional agreements were produced including extra expenses. Apparently items on the plans not mentioned in the agreement will not be included in the work. They do not favor getting any city permits and project was delayed initially because they were unaware of changes in the city's procedures for permits. Estimated time for completion of this work was 4 months but was actually done in 14 . If I had known the time involved I would not have continued to stay in the house or kept my cat . This firm works a lot in East Dallas where my daughter lives and I frequently saw their full works crews engaged in more extensive projects while nothing was happening at my house . They delayed so long that the material 8 picked for the kitchen counters had been sold , they had no record where my appliances were stored though I guess their recommended dealer. The project manager though pleasant and generally available was inefficient : he obviously did know the contents of the agreement nor had he looked at the plans . I argued about items clearly specified in same . I did not receive daily ie even weekly e mails from him ( their policy is to email client daily ) . I was chided at end of project for not voicing my complaints s about the ongoing work ; I had discussed all of these issues with the project manager . I have asthma and would need to leave the house when they were painting , sanding etc I asked the project manager to be informed in a timely was when these activities were scheduled. Often I had only 24 hours notice to arrange to stay with my daughter. policy is that the client never talk to the work crews or venders but only withe project manager who would be on site frequently . Since the workmen were repairing Hispanic and the project manager did not speak Spanish , their communication was not detailed. I found crews would. Show up at my house asking what they were to do ! I found my front door keey left in the lock outside on a Monday when I returned home ( they do not work Sat or Sun) . The painters tracked paint on my bathroom rugs , disposed of dirty water in my flower beds ( bushes were stained white) where they also urinated. When protective coverings came off the floors after painting , they were extensively spotted with paint and had to be cleaned. Wrong size replacement windows were ordered The cabinetry is OK but really not top quality work ( I have remodeled 2 kitchens including the cabinets ) prior to this . They did an excellent job of finding source of the leak it . They lost part of my ceiling fan so it could not be remounted ( they did replace the fan but did not ask me about the style) . I have had to have work done on the breaker box outside and was disheartened to see that the plugs for use in a built in desk were installed behind the desk drawers and are unable to be used. Inthe first wiring of the kitchen they eliminated all ability to turn on the outside lights ! I had pointed out to the project manager where these were and what lights they turned on but this was not conveyed to the electricians . The moving / storage company they recommended were efficient , courteous , punctual , careful and the best thing about this project . The plumbing crew was also good . They were not aware my cat was here and she got under the house and was locked in the bedroom where furniture was stored for > 24 hours without food , water or litter so their was some soiling fortunately not a lot. Their daily cleanup was good but they did not clean out the garage ( a staging area for supplies) was not optimal ; I hauled trash including food containers and soda cans to the trash bins and swept out several times. I had very pleasant and productive experience with their architect , I felt one of the partners I met with in the beginning was more interested in convincing me of their wonderful ness than actually listening to what I wanted to accomplish with the remodel . He was too glib! The office personnel were polite , helpful. To be fair I suspect they may have been overextended during this time and perhaps needed to work on the more extensive projects to insure cash flow . Unfortunately I felt like they did not show much interest in my project or supervise it well

1) Workmanship quality - First Class, yes it was! 2)Projection management - terrible. I had to supervise this job myself. Incompetent and arrogant group of folks. Think they are doing you a favor. They forget that you are paying them for a service. 3) Pay close attention to the contract you sign, make sure everything you requested is included. I would have your lawyer attend the signing. Do not use their "recommended" locals banks etc. Get your own. Do your own homework. 4) Beware of their "change requests" - they will use this as a way to justify how overdue their timeline is. Since "you" requested the change, the job "must" take longer to finish. 5) They do not keep their word and they are always chasing the next job. I think their sales pitch is also underhanded. You end up spending a lot more money than you intend to. Very crafty with their sales pitch and advertising, do not get sucked in. 6)Project ran way over time and they lost numerous items we purchased. Never got the feeling they cared that they were putting you out. 7) Nickel and dime you for everything they forgot. e.g. We had gutters before they started work - did not put them back up, acted as if we never had gutters and told us it would be a "change request" to have gutters put up. 8) They do not work on weekends and do not pay their subs to do so. You may think this is trivial, but if they do not show up for several days during the week, you can easily lose a whole week of work. 9) Many days with no inclement weather and no one showed up to work. 10) ****When the subs worked, they knocked so much out very quickly and their work was very good. I really want to stress that. The actual work was very well done. The house looks fantastic, but I would never work with that company again. 11) If you see their sign up in the neighborhood, knock on the door and speak to the owners yourself. Do not let them take you to sites themselves.
