Could not have been better.
Description of Work: Bee's had decided the eaves were a fine home. Blake came out and determined the hive was probably larger than I thought. He opened the area, treated the hive and removed the wax and honey. Since these bees were agressive, they had to be destroyed. Blake was very knowledgeable and professional.

Description of Work: The wasp nest was in the electrical box, and he opened it, removed the nest and sprayed the box and surrounding utility boxes with a powder. He also checked on the other side of the wall to make sure the wasps weren't living in the wall. The number of wasps dropped almost immediately after the powder was applied, and after about 48 hours, only a few a day came back looking for the nest. Now (about 10 days later) there are none at all flying around. Harold was very responsive to my request for help (same day) and personable, was on time, answered all my questions, honored the Angie's List coupon, and solved my problem.

It went extremely well. Called them yesterday and they came first thing this morning. Fortunately, it was a small comb and didn't requied removal at this time. They fumigated and patched up the area where they were getting in. I have a guarantee until the end of December. If they aren't gone in 48 hours they will come back and retreat and we will discuss removing the hive. Zack was the technician and he was extremely professional, polite and well mannered. I would highly recommend using them. The owner, Harold, was also very pleasant on the phone. Also, they were over $100 cheaper than a regular exterminator.

We called Bee Safe on Saturday and received a return call from the owner, Harold, the same day. He told us that Kyle would be calling shortly to schedule the work. We received a call that evening from Kyle and then one day later. We then called back and spoke with Kyle Monday morning and scheduled the hive removal for Wednesday morning. Kyle arrived this morning at 8:15 to do the work of removing the bee hive from the house. He was polite, professional and took the time to explain everything thoroughly as he began the process of carefully removing the bee hive. I watched him work. Kyle should have his own program on the Discovery Channel! He is quite knowledgeable. He worked slowly and carefully to remove the hive. His carpentry skills were excellent as he also had to carefully remove parts of the wood siding to get to the hive. Working from a very tall ladder, after two hours he had removed the hive piece by piece. It was not as large as we had feared it might be. But mold had grown on the hive and inside the space between the 1st and 2nd floors of the structure. It was messy. Kyle explained that he would clean the area thoroughly with bleach after he had completely removed all of it.. He did exactly as he had explained. Kyle repositioned the wood siding and used a clear caulk to fill in the spaces under the wood panels. He displayed excellent carpentry skills. There is no evidence that the wood siding was ever removed. He also added a large amount of insulation to prevent any bees from finding their way back into this space. He cleaned the area around his work space thoroughly after completing the work.. After we paid by check, Kyle then offered a receipt and a guarantee for the quality of the work. This was a job very well done by Bee Safe!! For such a unique problem, I highly recommend these bee experts for their professionalism, knowledge, patience and skill.
Description of Work: The first phase of the bee removal was performed last summer (2009) by Bee Safe. The bees were exterminated at that time. We were now ready to have the hive removed from between the 1st and 2nd floors of our SW Dallas County home. After exterminating the bees twice already (in 2007 and in 2009), we did not want another return visit this year. We were advised by Bee Safe (in 2009) that the hive should be removed before the next season because the bees would likely return again if we did not.

Bees were swarming on the back side of our home between the 1st and 2nd floor. They had returned after being exterminated 2 years before. We had not realized that they would return. Called Harold with Bee Safe Pest Patrol and they came out immediately to check it out. Bees were exterminated. We were told that there was probably a huge hive between the 1st and 2nd floors of the home. They gave a very detailed explanation of the issue. We are now going to schedule the bee hive removal. And will see if that goes as well as the extermination did last year. Will report back soon on this.

The initial visit went very badly. First the guy (Steve) drives up with no markings on the company truck showing he worked for the bee extermination company. The guy (Steve) did not have a company uniform. The guy (Steve) reeked of cigarette smoke and cheap cologne!!! 2. I had to point out where the bees were in the tree. 3. The company claimed they would guarantee their work for 6 months. The guy (Steve) who evaluated the bees said he could not honor the 6 month guarantee that the company offered for the bee extermination if it rained. The guy (Steve) called his boss about the 6 month guarantee. His boss said to honor the 6 month guarantee. (this further caused me not to trust him [Steve] or the company.) 4. I told the technician (Steve) I did not need his company's services. 5. The technician (Steve) said that would be $75.00. I asked for what you did not do any work. He (Steve) said trip charge. I explained to him that his company did not state there would be a trip charge. The technician (Steve) instantly calls his boss and insist that he call the police for theft of services. 6. The technician (Steve) insulted me while speaking to his boss via phone. 7. The technician (Steve) told his boss he called me the day before wanting to come do the service. He (Steve) explains to his boss I said no. ( I had an appointment for the time the technician wanted to come out the day before.) 8. The technician (Steve) voice and anger keeps elevating while he is speaking to his boss on the phone. Again the technician (Steve) is insistent that he is going to call the police for theft of service. (I did not sign a contract with this company.) 9. The company told the technician (Steve) that they would send me an invoice. 10. I was upset by the attitude of no customer service, lack of professionalism, and the technician (Steve) stating the company was not going to honor the warranty they provided on their web site. I WAS ALSO UPSET THE TECHNICIAN (STEVE) WAS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE! This company gives those who do a great job at providing an honest service every day a bad wrap!!!!

Members, Thank you for your comment about the visit from one of our past employees. Our office had received a slight different story about what transcribed at your residence. I do believe in the saying "The customer is always right even when they're not right." I do feel that it is important that we inform you that the technician Steve that visited your property to offer bee service is no longer working for our company due to health conditions. Probably related to Smoking! Steve did have a strong personality when it came to certain situations where he felt that the customer was not being fully upfront with him. That said, the positive aspect about Steve is that he loved working with bees, he saved hundreds of swarms every year and actually enjoyed getting stung. Yes he was a little rough around the edges. I do hope that you forgive our company for this incident and know that Steve will not be returning. If we may be of help in the future, I would be willing to offer you a free service performed by me the owner of Bee Safe. Thank you and good luck. Harold Wright

We went out to mow the lawn and found a fairly substantial bee swarm in a tree on a Saturday. Called Bee Safe and they had someone out the same day (about 6 hours later) and he did the work quickly (only took about 10 minutes). While we haven't seen the swarm since that day, we have seen a few bees here and there (which is perfect).

Returned from a vacation to find honeybees nesting in a water cutoff access right in front of my outside faucet. Lots of bees! Checked Angies List and the web for beekeepers who would remove and not kill the bees. I had to check BOTH places because Angies List does not make it absolutely clear that they will remove and relocate rather than kill honey bees. We don't need to lose any more honey bees! They made an appointment, very quickly, and showed up just a tad late (but they called to tell me), and made very quick work of subduing and moving the bees into a box, then dusting to discourage any rebuild both in the water access hole and in nearby trees. He was very friendly and professional, answering all my questions about the process and reassuring me that the bees would be well cared for. He also told me exactly how many he moved (15000!!!) and how many combs they had built. Busy little fellows! I was pleased with the speed and the thoroughness of his work. If I get bees again, guess who I will call? Thanks Bee Safe!
Description of Work: Bee Safe came to my home and very carefully collected 15000 honey bees and their three combs from the water cutoff access in my yard AND ensured that no bee would attempt to build a hive there again, or in a likely nearby tree. He assured me that they would save the bees to buzz on and pollinate elsewhere and only a few bees would die as a result of his work.

We noticed a foul odor coming from our closet and two days later decided it wasn't mold but something dead. I called around and this company had a guy come out right away to deal with the problem. I was thrilled! Now, a week later, there is still an odor coming from my closet and it has permeated to the rest of the home. I have called them four times to have this resolved. One time I was told to give it another day and see if the smell went away. The other times I was told some one would call me back and no one ever did. I wasn't all that impressed with the charge the first time around (even though they did give me a discount and I am thankful for that!) and now that I am still needing assistance I am hoping to not pay much if anything at all to fix this issue. Normally I am very patient, but when there is the smell of a decomposing body in my home, I tend to get anxious.
