It went great. He sent Luis to the rescue and he checked everything. Turned out, a squirrel with 10 inch fangs had been at work so Luis had to run a new wire from something to something in the attic.(I know nothing about electricity except that it's faster than I am and capable of killing me). Whatever Luis did did the trick and my wife was blow-drying and watching TV in a lighted room in no time.

They were quick to see the problem and correct it.

When I ran apartment management companies I know how my maintenance guys humped during heatwaves. Residents (in this case customers) just have to be flexible because keeping to a schedule is hard for the worker when he doesn't know if his first two jobs will be compressor replacements or simple recharges.

HORRIBLE, did not know what he (Daniel Estrada) was doing his workers was more professional and skilled.

I was really impressed, they didn't try to sell anything, they were very nice, clean, efficient and friendly people.

The serviceman that came out was very competent and did a good job. He showed up on time. We will probably use them again in the future.

Home A/C quit cooling, David Bateman sent over his "A/C Guy" Mark Patterson to provide estimate and repair. Mark said we needed to replace A/C coil, cost $1,200.00. We paid, work completed. On a Sunday morning, about a week later, we work up in a hot house. A/C not cooling. I called David Bateman (no answer, left voice mail) and called his "A/C guy" Mark Patterson, who answered his phone, apologized for continued A/C problems and was at our home within an hour. Mark described additional repair and parts needed (remember, we are in 100+ degree house on a Sunday!), collected several hundred dollars to purchase needed parts, and HE LEFT WITH OUR MONEY, AND WE HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM, OR THE $, SINCE! When Mark Patterson did not return to complete repairs, I phoned David Bateman who explained that Mark appeared to be having some 'personal problems' and Bateman had stopped using him. David sent another A/C guy who said we now needed a whole new, outdoor, unit, $2,000. We paid and replaced. (Monies paid to Mark Patterson have never been re-cooped.) A/C quit cooling again, within a few weeks. David sent A/C guy who had just replaced unit. He stated we now needed a 'new motor' and quoted about $600 or $700. After multiple repairs/replacements, $3,200+ paid and chronic/continued A/C problems (unit now leaking water all over hardwood floors), we declined estimate to have work done. David sent a $95.00 invoice for the estimate, which we have not paid.

I did not use them because the estimate seemed too high. Then, Bateman sent a $70.00 invoice charge for the estimate. On Angie's List, Bateman Services' page states "free estimates."

Even though the kitchen sink leak took three attempts to complete properly, it was done in a very professional and courteous manner. The new circuit was installed quickly and the job was well done.

It was good. A guy came by and did the estimate, he gave us the lowest price estimate of three that I had gotten. A technician came out and was very courteous and got the work done in a few hours and we haven't had any problems so far.

UPDATE from August report: The air started blowing hot about 3 weeks after Bateman's repair. They came out same day (Aug 13) and found there was NO freon in the system. I asked how it could go from 4 lbs low to none in entire line in just 3 weeks, was something not reconnected when he filled it? Said no, showed me the pressure gauge check. I even went into the attic and stayed so I could watch what was being done. Tech said evaporator coil had a leak and he called the owner, David. Tech described the unit, horizontal mount, 3.5 ton, 10 SEER unit. The measurements of coil David had, which was a higher seer, did not match. Tech told how much clearance he had - 4 . David then spoke to me and said to replace evaporator coil, put a new box in and do something with duct work. Asked what he planned on putting in and he said a 4 ton and they would have to modify the coil to fit. Cost $1800. Told I was not happy since I had already paid almost $300 for a repair that didn t fix the problem, in fact, it was much worse. Said when we charged the system, it may have made the leak worse. Said he would apply what I paid to current fix if I got service done. Told David I would ask husband. Did some research and found pricing was probably way too much. David never mentioned other options for repair vs replacing. I wasted $300 and called another company for an eval and estimate. Before the update my grade was a B, but I had not completed my review when the problem recurred so problem not fixed the first time. Mohammed was nice,knowledgeable and explained things in an easy to understand manner. I did not like that David did not discuss other options, pros and cons, just only a replacement. At neither visit did anybody try to locate the leak, just that it had no freon and there must be a leak. New company that came out found the leak, which was in the connection pipe inside the condenser. The evaporator coils were never leaking. If I had gone with Bateman's "fix", it would have been another $1800 and not fixed the problem again.

No I cant. I just give them a high recommendation.

I called him and quickly returned the call and was able to do the job in a few days. He was very good about cleaning up after himself. I will hire him again.

He came out and did an estimate. When he came out to do the work he came with his assistant. It took him about two hours for the work and it was all good.

Very well. Electricians were efficient and helpful, but may have taken longer than needed. The job was easy for electricians.

David was very responsive and took a personal interest in our project. He and his team showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Very professional and at the same time a very friendly, reliable contractor. Since this job we have called on him to replace a water heater and work on our furnace.

The story? Once upon a time, our AC blew hot air. I called David Bateman, then along came Freddy, who used to work at the zoo and was almost grabbed by a gorilla. I'm serious. (Subplot: Freddy is a dog lover. He has a half-Lab something-or-other and a Shepherd-Chow mix that have unique characteristics. They weren't with him, of course.) But I digress. Anyway, Freddy diagnosed the problem quickly and summoned David who rode up and handed him a mysterious box. Freddy worked his magic and replaced the offending capacitor and rode off into the traffic. The End.

David is top notch - he is honest and very knowledgeable. However, some of his workers are messy and banged up a new paint job on walls and ceilings. David needs to follow up and actually inspect their work because it is not living up to his solid reputation and excellent customer service.

David Bateman has been our first choice for this type of work and we will continue to rely on him. My initial inquiry into the work was by telephone, David email various options to choose from, we made our decision and he provided us with an accurate and professional estimate. We scheduled an installation date, David and his crew did the rest. They drained, removed and hauled off the old tank, ran conduit and electricity, secured the new water heater to the wall and made the water and electric connections, cleaned up and left the house clean and neat. The experience was very satisfying. We have relied on David before and have always been pleased to know that David took care of us.

Has always been very honest with us.

David is a very trusting, honest person. He takes a lot of pride in his work. He was able to tell me what had to be done in order to complete the installation and his prices are very reasonable.

They arrived late. I showed them the lights and where I wanted them installed. It took them 2 1/2 hours to install two light fixtures.

Working with David was a real pleasure. I called 5 HVAC companies (all from Angie's List) and out of the 3 that actually provided a bid, David's was by far the most complete, and he took the most time to consult me, make sure he was addressing the problems and providing the best solution possible. The end result is a system that far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend David to any one of my friends that needed HVAC services, and will be having David do all the servicing of my units from now on.

He is very dependable and prompt. He is knowledgeable about the work he does and is professional. He is easy to work with.
