BART GHORMLEY APPRAISALS

Bart was very friendly, and responded to my phone request for an appraisal very promptly. He kept in touch the whole time, and came out on a Friday. He took photos and some measurements while he was here for the appraisal. He took the time to explain how he would put the appraisal together and his approach. Bart stated that he should have my report to me by Close Of Business on Monday. Bart was able to beat that time, and actually had the results/report to me by Saturday evening. I would definitely use Bart again for an appraisal.

It went well but there were not many comparable homes so the appraisal is a bit soft. The appraisal information was performed in a timely manner and pretty well documented and explained.

Mr. Ghormley arrived promptly and spent a considerable amount of time going over our home with a fine tooth comb. He was very professional and thoroughly explained the whole process and factors that would affect the value of our home, up or down. We had a uniquely shaped second floor and he really put quite a bit of effort into getting his measurements and calculations perfect. He emailed our report in PDF form two days earlier than we expected to receive it. We're extremely happy with his appraisal as the value of the home was much higher than we ever imagined. The appraisal was very accurate for our area and allowed us to price our home correctly because it sold within the first week. We highly recommend Mr. Ghormley and will definitely use his services again when the need arises.

We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to appraise our house also. He again was professional and thorough in every aspect of the appraisal, and his input will enable us to make knowledgeable decisions on what we ultimately do with our house.

Based on his appraisal, my house would be the cheapest house per square foot in the entire city. Even less than ones labeled "fixer upper". I called him back for an explanation of the price. At some point we decided to disagree and he abruptly hung up on me. Poor experience. Will not use again. There are many other appraisers out there, i'd suggest you move to the next one on the list.

It was really great. He came out the same day that I called them and he turned out the appraisal in 2 days. He seemed honest and very knowledgable about the process. He took the time to walk me through what he was looking at and how the appraisal process worked.

Bart was absolutely great. He walked me throught the whole process and what options do I have. I was looking to get second opinion on just the measurements of the house after my initial appraisal by lender had some discrepancies. Bart was very patient and provided his time and attention to listent to my problem in hand. We didn't get the work done from him as we were able to find someone who does just sq footage measurements only and hence was cheaper overall. This was also suggested by Bart (that we might be able to find someone cheaper who can just do measurments and is closer to the area). Will definitely use him again if needed.

We had done a few MAJOR renvoations to our home over the years, so one of the first people we hired was Bart Ghormley to help us understand the true value of our home. We felt we needed an uninterested 3rd party to help us determine the listing price. We found his assessment thorough and honest.

Called Bart for his opinion regarding comps for a Dallas neighborhood that didn't have many sales that we could use to support a price. He was very helpful and clearly explained what an appraiser would use, where they would go for the info and how far back. I am now able to go back to my client with more info and a plan of action. Bart was amazing! Quick response time. He came out the same day I contacted him and our appraisal was ready within a few days. He walked us through it and answered all questions. The appraisal was well organized and easy to follow. He then fielded questions from a prospective buyer and a realtor we were considering. He truly went above and beyond!

I contacted Bart a week or so prior to Thanksgiving to inquire about his services and the cost of an appraisal. He was very professional and quick to respond to phone calls and emails throughout the process. A description of services was discussed over the phone and a price was agreed upon. Bart visited our house after the holiday weekend and was very thorough with the appraisal as far as questions he asked about the property. Based on the research he did prior to the visit and the information we were able to provide him with, he was able to finish the appraisal and get it over to us by the evening of the day the appraisal was done. Again, Bart was very professional, friendly, and to the point with everything and we would definitely call on him in the future if we ever need another appraisal.

I choose Bart based on positive reports on Angie's List. On the phone he was pleasant and very professional, and I felt I could trust him. I found out that he has been in the appraisal business for 18 years, and knows all aspects of it very well. Bart was very prompt, looked at the house within two days after I contacted him, and then he immediately sent the appraisal by email the same day. He was very thorough and detailed, and went over the appraisal with me to answer any questions. This experience was very positive, and I would highly recommend Bart to anyone. He seems to be a man of integrity, and is very personable.

You cannot go wrong hiring Bart to do your appraisal. Not only was he professional, courteous, knowledgeable, dependable and nice as heck, but he also was lightening fast. It seemed like he had the appraisal done before I finished asking him to do one. Okay, not really that fast. But he was fast. I emailed him late on a Sunday night. He emailed me back that very night, and met me at the property the next day (Monday). By Monday late afternoon or early evening, I already had the appraisal in my inbox. Now that's fast. And it's not like he skimped. The appraisal seemed to be very thorough and logical. If you want a great appraiser at a fair price, hire Bart.

I selected Bart based on previous reviews I read on Angie's List and was very pleased with his promptness in retruning my initial call, as well as scheduling the two appraisals needed. His communication was extremely professional and courteous. The reports were fairly priced, well presented and arrived ahead of expectation. Great follow-up too.

Also, we had a few phone conversations were he answered all of my questions, even those that didn't pertain to my appraisal or appraisals in general.
