+ -1 moreWe purchased an Angie's Deal to have 2 hours of electrical service from B & C electric because we had been having weird electric issues - flickering lights, tv turning off when dryer was turned on, etc. I had not scheduled an appt yet but Peter called me and said he was in the area (it was around 5p) and wanted to know if he could come by. He arrived about 15 minutes later! He found the problem quickly and it was actually something Oncor needed to fix but he put on a temporary patch and then he did small things for us to complete his 2 hours. Checked our panel, replaced bad electrical outlets, and fixed 2 ceiling light fixtures. Peter was quick, courteous, and professional. He charged us an extra $50 for parts. I will use him again and recommend him to friends and family.
Description of Work: Found neutral line problem which was causing overall electrical problems. Determined that Oncor had to fix but put a patch to hold until they could come out. Replaced outlets and overhead light chains.

Description of Work: We have an older duplex, and were installing new kitchen cabinets with a dishwasher on Saturday for our tenants who are having a baby any day now - we thought it might be that night. At the last minute, it was realized we needed some electrical work to get it all up and working. Mr. Bistrian himself showed up at 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday night, after working all day on another job, and did excellent work. It involved pulling an additional circuit (not easy work at any time) and other complications involved with updating an older home, and the work took a couple of hours. It was all done perfectly, and we are forever grateful to him. Next time, we intend to plan things a little more advance so that we don't interrupt his schedule to this extent, but his kindness under the circumstances will not be forgotten. He not only is extremely intelligent and an excellent electrician, but he is genuinely a good person.

I thought it would take awhile to set it up, but he called me the day after I sent him an email and came that day. He fixed the wobbly fan in our bedroom, and found that the domes were loose so he installed extra screws to keep them attached. He also installed a ceiling fan in an extra bedroom. He checked the exterior light that I wanted him to check and is going to come back another day to fix it. He was late to another appointment and it would take a longer amount of time that he had. I was very pleased with the work and I am going to have him come back to fix a few other things.
Description of Work: I had a ceiling fan installed, another ceiling fan's "wobble" fixed and an exterior light inspected.

Description of Work: Peter provided an estimate for a number of small changes I wanted done in my older house (removal of an old security system, redoing a ceiling fan/light kit, cleaning up a "rat's nest" of old unidentifiable wiring in my garage, etc.). He also recommended a necessary, and inexpensive, change to my electrical panel. He did all the work in a very short time and did a great job. I really liked that he worked quickly and didn't waste any time. I would definitely recommend him.

He was very professional and performed a variety of services that we needed done and gave great suggestions as well. I would highly recommend him for any electrical work you need done (large or small) We were very satisfied and will definitely use him again in the near future.
Description of Work: Installed two exterior motion lights. The breaker from the dishwasher would trip every few days and he changed this out and double checked the wiring of our newer dishwasher. He also looked over and fixed several smaller issues w/ outlets, etc.

I bought the deal that was offered on Angie;s list and called Peter. I expected to get an answering machine but he answered the phone and gave me a time that day to come out and do the job. He arrived at the time he gave me and went right to work. He knows exactly what to do and got the job done very quickly. I'm so pleased with his work.
Description of Work: Peter was very prompt and installed new lighting for me. He also fixed two other lights that I was having a problem with. I totally recommend him for any electrical work.

Description of Work: He put in a new panel box, moved a number of light switches to different locations and also added additional light switches. He did a lot of extra things while he was in the attic for no extra charge.

+ -1 moreKept me posted on when he would show up and did actually show up on time. did the work although it took a lot longer than he thought it would be he did great work moving the dryer and even installed a hard wired doorbell for us.
Description of Work: Had move our dryer into the room where our washer was and the dryer to be vented and electrical work done. Peter was great and went way beyond what was expect of him and even did some sheet rocking and fixed a prior electricians work that was actually a fire hazard.

+ 0 morePeter was very competitive with his bid and when we gave him the job he was out on the day he promised. It was a pretty large job because not only did he replace on old breaker panel, he moved it because of code requirements. The job turned out to be much more challenging than anticipated because the previous owner of the house had wired 15 to 20 things incorrectly. The errors really showed up when we installed GFCI circuits in the new panel. Peter had warned me that there would be issues we would have to work through and I understood there would be additional charges to solve them. He was very generous with his time and was very fair with the charges. Peter was very pleasant to work with and he took great care to minimize the mess and sheetrock work that had to follow. He would even stop and fix little things that he ran into that were not on the list but needed attention (like the doorbell).
Description of Work: Replaced three old Federal Pacific electrical panels with one new breaker box. Helped trouble shoot all the remaining electrical issues with the house.

The price was competitive, but the service made it seem like a great deal. We couldn't get all the work done in one visit, but Peter made sure he could return to finish in a very timely manner. He also took great care to clean up any paint and/or plaster. and went to get lengths to make sure all wiring was tucked away or wrapped for aesthetic appeal. He wanted to make sure the job was complete and was very thorough to ensure I was pleased with his work. Definitely will use him again when I am in need.
Description of Work: Rewired florescent lighting in kitchen under cabinets and in skylight. Dismounted a television and rewired cable for televisions in kitchen and master bedroom. Researched telephone connections due to static and clicking in wiring. Fixed motion detector lights on perimeter of house and garage.

+ 0 morePeter was great. He went above and beyond trying to find a heat detector for the kitchen, which he did find. The fire marshall said it was one of the best installs he had ever seen. Peter worked around the childrens nap time so the operation of my home daycare was uninterrupted. Whenever I need any electrical work performed I will use B & C. I have also recommended him to some of my friends, and I am a very cautious person when it comes to referrals. You can not go wrong using B & C.
Description of Work: Peter installed wired smoke, heat and carbon dioxide detectors throughout my home, which is also a home daycare. The detectors are on a dedicated circuit which complicated the install.

Description of Work: I scheduled Peter to come out on Wednesday 11/2/11 at 10:00 AM to install a quick dis-connect on a new air conditioner I had installed on my home. At approximately 10:45 AM when Peter had not shown up or called, I called him. Peter proceeded to tell me that another job had come in that was going to pay him $500, whereas my job only paid $150, so the other job took priority. I was told that he could possibly fit my job in later on in the day, but could make no guarantees as to what time he would be there. I chose to not use him based on his poor business dealings. Peter may perform great work (I'll never know), but other potential customers need to know that he may not show up and from my experience will not call if a higher paying job comes in when your job is scheduled. Buyer Beware!

He was very easy to reach through email or text and came out in two more days. My husband liked him so much we got him to also fix a kitchen light. Peter offered many ideas to cut cost and was smart, polite and we will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: We our converting our two garage doors into one and need an electrician to move a line and install an inside and outside garage light.

+ -1 morePeter replaced our 100 amp panel inside a closet wall with a 200 amp panel on the outside. Rewired to the new location of the panel, and replaced wire that was rated to low to run off the breaker for my a/c unit, possibly saving me money if my a/c unit would have overloaded or shorted out. Previously, the electric line was running into the house connecting to a meter and basically held together by electric tape. The encore guys pointed this out and said they secured it with electric tape. One of the encore guys told me that if a branch hit the wire it could arc a blue spark and burn the house down. Now Peter has securely run the electric wire to the house, properly connected to the meter, with plenty of give if it somehow were torn down. I feel safer for my family and am glad to know that my appliances will not short out due to faulty wiring. He also worked with us on the price. Very nice man!
Description of Work: Peter replaced our 100 amp panel inside a closet wall with a 200 amp panel on the outside. I chose B&C because I felt Peter understood the project the best, actively listened to my ideas regarding the projects and gave me invaluable feedback and advice as we discussed each project. His estimate was very competitive and because Peter really understood the projects I felt as if his estimate was the closest to reality. B&C showed the utmost respect to the property, were punctual, professional and very responsive. Peter kept me informed and involved as each project milestone was achieved. Great experience.

He even repaired an outlet that wasn't even part of the original call but just came up in conversation as we were testing the breakers. It is very apparent that he really knows what he is doing. He gave me a more than fair price for coming out because it didn't take long to fix. We've known for a while that our breaker box is out of date and needs to be replaced and he gave me a very reasonable quote for doing the work. I trust him completely and will definitely be using B & C Electric again.

+ -1 moreI used this list to find an electrician to repair damage caused by a leaning power pole that had tightened the wire bringing power to my house to such an extent that the wire had caused damage to my meter box and its housing. Peter arrived, as scheduled, at 8 am on a bitterly cold morning; the Oncor people, with whom I had confirmed an appointment to arrive at the same time, didn't get there till after 10 am (and two phone calls), by which time Peter had done half their work (disconnecting the power line) and all of his, leaving them with only the task of reconnecting power. The work went very smoothly, no thanks to Oncor, because of the skill and initiative shown by Peter, who also replaced a faulty ground wire with a new one. I found Peter to be exceptionally conscientious, responsive, and considerate. I will use him for any further electrical issues that may come up.

I contacted Peter before Christmas and we had agreed to touch base after Christmas. I contacted him again on the 26th and he was able to come to my house that evening and give me a quote for the work. He came back a few days later at the agreed upon time and completed the work for the price quoted as well as he looked at a few other issues that I was having that he didn't include in his initial quote but didn't charge me for. Overall it was a great experience and my wife and I both felt comfortable with him in our house, I will definitely be using Peter again.
Description of Work: Peter replaced a chandelier in our kitchen, installed 2 outdoor speakers and ran wire to them and he helped look at a couple of other electrical issues that we had.
