Aquamax Sprinkler Systems

Received an estimate which was the lowest of three estimates. However we didn't choose Aquamax based solely on price. The estimate was professional with Rainbird literature and references. Called 6 references and only spoke with one person. They need to update their list. Pleased with the outcome.

The company returned calls when I contacted them. They called back twice to try and get us. We appreciated that.We set up the appointment and were pleased they took a $15 discount due to Angies List. They said they would come between 0930-1100 and I was very pleased when they called at 0900 and said they would be a bit later, 1000, and then again, stating they would be there by 1030--which they did arrive at. I appreciated their professionalism. My sprinkler system was shorting, apparently due to a bad solenoid in one of the zones. They quickly identified that, which one, and had a plan in place. This they did very well.I was surprised when they didnt have a fuse for my unit, a common 1V fuse. I drove to get some while they did the work, to reduce the time. Believe they should have had some in their truck ... hmmmm. They dug up the faulty solenoid, replaced it, rewired it, and had it in operation. They could have done a little better job cleaning up, replacing the grass around the solenoid, and in putting things back as they were at the sprinkler program box.All in all, they were prompt, professional, and priced reasonably. They replaced the solenoid, identified a bad transformer, and got things working. A little more attention to cleaning up would have made them an A.I would use them again in the future.

After doing a thorough inspection of our sprinkler system, I decided that we needed to have some work done. I simply do not have the time to do the work myself, so I did what I normally do - retreat to Angie's List to find a reputable company to do the work. After going through a few companies trying to find one that worked on the weekends, we found Aquamaxx. I sent out an email (5/9/12) to Robert Maxvill with Aquamaxx, trying to arrange an acceptable time to have this work done. We ended up taking the next available Saturday appointment from 10-12. (5/19/12). This is a full 10 days prior to the service. I planned out weekend around this appointment, as we really needed to have this work done in preparation for a long hot summer. The day prior to the actual service completion date - we get a call asking if we could move the appointment time forward to the next slot - 12-2. Reluctantly I agree - because as I mentioned, we really need to have our system serviced. The following morning, I receive a voice message from the service provider - letting me know that they will be 2-3 hours late - and "If I want to cancel or reschedule - call the office" Excuse me? We already moved our appointment back two hours, now you are going to be 3 hours late - causing me to sit arounf waiting for a 5 hour swing? Why bother even setting appointments at that rate? As a business owner - If you are going to set an appointment - keep it. If you absolutely must - reschedule it - but keep the rescheduled appointment. Under no circumstances ever, should you be 3 hours late for an appointment that was booked 10 days in advance, that you already rescheduled. Due to the gaps in service, Aquamaxx took up a chunk of Saturday that I could have used doing other things, and wasted 10 days that I could have used finding a reputable company that actually would have shown up on time, and completed the service as requested.

The work was needed at a rental home. I needed a late afternoon appointment and was scheduled a week out in order to accommodate this need. I was willing to wait 7 days even though the sprinkler system was not working at all. I was told to expect a repairman between 4:30 and 6. At 5 I received a msg that he'd be late, but would come between 6 and 6:30. I returned that msg confirming the delay would be fine. At 7, I had to move on because of evening obligations so I called back, but again got voice mail. At 8 pm, my calls were returned. I was unable to pick up. The guy was apologetic in that message, but that doesn't help me, nor does it repair the irrigation system. I hope this was a fluke, but I had to move on to another company. I wish them well.

Robert was very good about communicating with me and answering my questions. His crew showed up early and worked hard the entire time they were at my house. The work was completed in two days. Several neighbors have commented how quick the installation was completed.

Brian attempted to test the sprinkler systems but the controller was not turning on. He recommended replacing the controller and said the existing one was of poor quality (he replaced those the most). He replaced the controller in 30 minutes. He then tested the rest of the system, identified the 20 sprinkler heads/nozzles that needed to be replaced and did so over the next 2-3 hours. There had also been some damage to the zone 1 sprinkler wiring underground caused by gas company working in that area. Brian reattached the loose wiring and zone 1 issues were corrected. Overall, I was happy with the work performed by Aquamax. I would have been happier if I had received a discount on the parts due to the volume. But I did get to use the $15 coupon from Angie's list.

Appointment set between 9-10:30 am & Brian arrived at 9:45 am. Took him about 1-1/2 hours to complete the job, dug holes & replaced grass well. He was very nice & professional.

I recommend Aquamax for this installation and hope this sprinkler solution will save my landscaping in the future. Thank you Aquamax. They avoided cutting any electrical cabling to the moonlighting as well as the gas, electrical and cable lines. The job had no negative drama only great results.

They were prompt and professional from providing the quote to doing the actual work. They cleaned up their mess after they were finished and provided the proper documentation for the controller and rain/freeze monitor. They even provided a quick training session on the equipment. I was very pleased with their work and would consider using them again and would recommend them to others.sp

From first call to completion of service this company has been very professional and the pricing for the parts and repair was actually what they quoted and was actually less then other companies with "coupons". The only time I was a little disappointed was when they sent someone that was a new hire. I did not know that this person was newish till they were leaving. The next time I requested that only someone that had been with the company for a while come out and then back to exceptional service. I have had to reschedule due to my crazy schedule several times and they have always been very helpful.

It went great. The tech was great as were his techical skills. He explained what he was going to do.And did what was needed in a prompt fashion. EXCELLENT

They arrived on time. They called me about 30 minutes before they arrived as agreed. The two men were professional and curteous. The final price was as agreed. I will use them again.

Joe and George arrived on time and quickly evaluated the entire irrigation system. They made adjustments to equipment that was functioning properly and highlighted areas requiring repair. He provided an estimate range which was reasonable and was able to begin repairs immediately. Once completed, they walked me through the repairs made and demonstrated the system operation and coverage. The work was done quickly and professionally and the charges fell right within the range provided. They even fixed a minor leak for free. I could not be happier with the work they performed and will definitely use them again.

It is "refreshing" to have this type of quality service and professionalism with reasonable prices! I give them an A++! By the way that is the same rating they have at the BBB, another reason I used Aquamax.

They were the best price, very professional, showed up for estimate and work as promised. Did a good job in extreme heat!

I got their name off of Angie's List. They did a pretty good job. I had to call them back to fix the system and they were there the next day and got it fixed immediately. I rate a company not only by how well they do a job but their responsiveness after the job and how they back things up. They were responsive and I really liked the job. They were not the highest or lowest price. I had 2 other bids, but I chose them because I liked their professionalism and how they planned it out. The one down side is that I would like to have seen the plans of the layout before they put it in. I guess they figured that as long as all the parts of the lawn gets watered it shouldn't be a problem. I would like the control valves to be in a different position in the yard if it is even possible. Grass is growing over it and I would have liked to see them in different areas if possible so I would have liked to see the plans. The results was still good. When you call a lot of times you get the answering machine but they call you back within a couple of hours.

first sprinkler company I have ever used who left my system fully functional and working efficiently. Great job.

Th Aquamax repair man's diagnostic prowess was not very evident, I'm afraid. They suspected the water controller at the curb, but I didn't see them manually run the valves to see if there was a water pressure problem. After that they seemed to run out of ideas. My neighbor is an electrician and has the same sprinkler system, and he came over and gave them some suggestions, which they freely accepted and began to pursue. They performed the tests the neighbor suggested and decided it was my sprinkler controler module and offered to replace it for $280 installed, which is probably a very good price, but there was no diagnostic performed to isolate the problem to the box. My neighbor suggested it was a diode in the control box and said he could replace just the diode. That was the end of Aquamax's effort, they left it to the neighbor to replace the diode, because they don't do that level of work. I paid them but still didn't have a working sprinkler system. My neighbor later swapped his identical perfectly working sprinkler control module from his house into my box, and it didn't solve the problem. It wasn't the module at all. I replaced the transformer and got four of the six valves working. Now I need someone to find the electiical fault that is preventing the remaining valves from opening, but I am not about to call Aquamax because I have no confidence they can isolate the problem, although I'm sure they can fix it once it becomes clear what it is.

Joe and Jared arrived a little early and got started right away inspecting the sprinkler system. During our walk through, I asked for an estimate for re-installing three sprinkler heads that had been removed from one side of the house years ago. Joe provided a very reasonable estimate and said they could re-install the heads on this trip. I was sold. They worked very quickly and with a high degree of quality. Both men were very professional and customer oriented and the fact that Joe remembered his last trip out and the work he did was very impressive! I highly recommend Aquamax based on the professional quality of work and the service I received from Joe and Jared.

Joe and Jarrod came out and replaced a leaky valve. They were prompt, polite and efficient. They did an excellent job of finding and replacing the leaky valve. We could not have been happier with the work they performed !!!!!

Excellent.. arrived on time, went right to work and fixed several problems quickly.

Called and asked if could arrive early which was ok. Diagnosed problem and installed new valve. Did a thorough job and at a fair price. Used an Angies $15 off coupon which they cheerfully honored.

The company was extremely responsive and professional. I sent an e-mail requesting service and received a phone call the following morning. I scheduled a visit for later that morning and all work was completed by noon. I was very pleased with their promptness, professionalism and the results for the work.

Company was great to deal with and I had no complaints other than their price was higher than the company I went with, but they were my first choice had the other company not been less money. They had a great quote/brochure detailing what was included.
