Aquamax Sprinkler Systems

Tony (the technician sent) was very knowledgeable & great to work with; explaining everything that needed to be done as my system is approx 19-yrs old. I would definitely hire again with peace of mind all has been done correctly.

I don't do this very often, but in light of some of the other reviews I felt it was necessary. I called on May 28th and got the voicemail system. I left a message to get a quote for an irrigation system. I received a call back this morning, June 4th. 5 business days and 7 total days after I reached out to get an estimate is unreasonable. I'm not making any reference to their work product because I opted to move on after calling two other companies that called back the same day. However, I can say that the absolute lack of customer service would not give me any confidence at all if i did have them do work. I'm unclear how Angie's List calculates ratings, but the number of negative reviews I've seen citing the same or a similar issue would tend to leave me with the impression that an "A" is unlikely. I want to see the company succeed because employees depend on their checks, but I highly recommend hiring someone to answer and return calls in a timely manner.

I am shocked to see this companies' "A" rating on here. After two calls and a couple of message exchanges on here I gave up. Could never get a call back even when they said they were going to call me. When I went on yelp I saw the same. Seems they're good at responding on message boards but not good at calling customers back. I found someone else to do the work. Maybe they're just too busy? Have too much work.

these guys were fantastic. James Spriggs was the lead tech and he ensured my wife was a happy camper so that was worth more than what I was charged

Robert showed up promptly and provided an estimate very quickly! He was able to answer all of our questions and give us a good idea of what to expect during the whole process. On the day of the installation, the crew showed up on time and got right to work! There was a slight mix-up at one point, as one of the sections of our property (a long, thin strip of grass next to the driveway) was not on the design plans as was discussed and expected. We called Robert and within minutes he had taken care of the whole thing! Once the installation was complete, the crew cleaned everything up and swept/hosed down our driveway. A few days later, Joe came by and walked through the entire system and mobile app, answering any questions and showing us the great job the entire team did! He assured us he would be available if we have any questions, and we are thrilled with the new system!

It went great, They always do a great job, and would highly recommend them. Chris is great to work with.

This service went better than I had expected. Nick called and was prepared to arrive early which really helped our evening scheduled. He was very friendly and professional when he arrived and during our walk-thru. He explained all that he did while checking the system, noted any area to be adjusted and made great recommendations tailor just to our landscape. We felt we had made a friend by the time he left. We will most definitely use Aquamax at the start of Spring next year and each year after. Highly recommended and no pressure to do any unnecessary work. You have to try them!

No leak; timer set to water too much. Cleared and reset new time schedule. Fixed and repositioned some sprinkler heads.

Chris came out on Jun 18, 2018 to fix a leak in our sprinkler system and to increase the height of a couple of our heads. He did these things. However, when we ran the sprinklers that next Thursday, zone 5 was stuck on! No matter what I did I could not get it to turn off. I eventually turned off the water to the sprinkler system and called AquaMax. They scheduled a return visit over two weeks later (!?). We haven't had the sprinkler running since then, been hand watering, temps around 100, our landscaping is getting very stressed. On the scheduled day (Saturday, July 7, 12noon) they did not show up and did not call. I called them and left a message, never heard back. So now our sprinkler system is broken worse than when we started, and AquaMax has $ 325 of our money. We cannot recommend this company.

Fast, quality work at a fair price.

Aquamax had done work for us before, and I was satisfied. I called them out for a sprinkler tune-up, knowing that there was more work that needed to be done. The technician arrived on time and proceeded to do a review of the system. The estimate came back, parts ($800+) and labor ($200+), slightly over $1,000. I okayed the work without asking any questions. This was a mistake. The $800+ parts turned out to be mostly plastic riser tubes and screw-in sprinkler heads. I'd estimate the supplies would have cost less than $200 at Lowes or Home Depot. The justification for the riser tubes was to get the sprinkler stream over a number of plants. Seemed reasonable, but for the most part, the sprinkling pattern does not do any better than the previous pattern. There are dry spots that we have to water by hand. Plus the riser tubes at approximately 3 feet tall, are unsightly and prone to being bumped. To be fair, the sprinkler coverage issue was not evident until the regular sprinkling cycle, which occurred several days later. Then, I had to leave town on a scheduled trip that kept me away for more than a month and simply have not followed up. Bottom-line, I think that I expected one type of repair and got something different. I probably would have been satisfied if the damaged/non-functioning pop-up sprinklers had been repaired/replaced and not replaced with the riser assemblies. My mistake was not having a clear understanding of what the service technician proposed doing and allowing him to do the work without asking enough questions before the work was done.

It was okay, nothing extraordinary or weird.

work was fine but very expensive. leak was not fixed first service and when they came back to fix it, they charged for a full hour of work even though it only took 40 minutes. when i called them about it they said 1 hour is minimum charge. that would have been fine but since they decided to come back i don't think a minimum was fair.

Quote was not the lowest but I felt comfortable talking with Joe about our new sprinkler system (did not have one previously). Crew showed up early on the scheduled date and quickly set about their work. They did a very good job, keeping the trenches straight, and overall I am very happy with the system. Joe came by a few days later to walk me through the system and how to use it - he was patient and answered all my questions. There was an issue: my brick mailbox was damaged while backing in the trailer. Foreman was apologetic and Joe worked with me to get it rebuilt within 2 weeks. I have had Aquamax out in the past to work on my sprinkler system and was very happy with the work, so I had no hesitation in calling them to replace the old timer for my system. Chris called ahead and showed up right on time. He installed the new Timer and Rain/Freeze sensor and showed me how to use them. All in just about an hour. So far it works just fine. My only real complaint is about the price. I think I was up-charged on both units. After he left, I was thinking those prices seemed high and did some research. I found I could get the same parts for around $250. Since the invoice only showed me a price for each unit and nothing for the installation charge, I have no idea how the charges were divided between parts and labor. Even given a labor charge of $100 for the hour it took to install, that would be significantly less than the $625 I was charged.

It went well as expected. A broken sprinkler head was found and requested replacement at that time. This saved me time and trouble of having to go through making a reservation and to have time off from work. The service agent is very approachable and knowledgeable. The costs of checkup and repair were very reasonable. I made a good choice on my part to find Aquamax through Angies's List. The company is good. I am impressed.
