Aquamax Sprinkler Systems

Carlos is a true professional. Fixed two broken sections of sprinkler pipe in 45 minutes. No digging was required as all the dirt was removed beforehand. 15 minutes were spent checking out the sprinkler system... zones were working, if zones had power or a valve/solenoid problem. $69.95 for Complete Sprinkler System Tune Up, plus $67.50 in labor for the pipe repair. Add $56.00 for parts, total $193.45. So for a service call that lasted 1 hour I paid $137.45 in costs. Aquamax charges $90.00 per hour for labor. I called Aquamax and discussed the amount charged for a one hour service call that included a sprinkler tune-up and pipe repair. The gentleman I spoke with stated how the repair was separate from sprinkler tune-up. He seemed fine with a total of 1 hour of labor costing me $137.50. After I mentioned I was writing a review for Angie's list he changed his mind and decided to charge me for just the one hour of labor. He said I would be receiving a refund as I would be charged only for an hour of labor. Update: Refund of $47.00 was received as promised.

Went well. Initially it was confusion on contacting the installer as I'm new 2 Angie's List. I thought once I sign up they would call but they sent an e-mail in which I wasn't expecting.

It went real well, they?re excellent. They did all of the work the same day.

They were great, there were some small additional fees as the provider replaced a couple of the sprinkler heads.

My appointment time was 9-10:30 on Saturday and Carlos showed up at 9:00. He was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable and as I told him, if all the employees at Aquamax are as good as you, then you have a very lucky boss. Carlos offered suggestions on how to make my sprinkler system more efficient and I plan on using them to do that work in the near future. What a refreshing experience to have a contractor do exactly what you expect. I will recommend them to all my friends and plan on using them for any sprinkler work I have from now on.

The process went well--the biggest problem was all the rain we received during Feb/Mar. My soil had to dry out some before the installation started. The crew showed up at an appropriate time and proceeded to start. My property is "pie" shaped and about a 1/3 of an acre with a pool, small front with a very big backyard with lots of landscaping to cut down mowing. The crew was polite and professional. Some modifications had to be done but everything seemed to work out fine. At the end the crew chief explained how to work the computer console and walked the zones with me. Overall a pleasant experience. I would hire again if needed.

Missed several sprinkler heads that were buried in the grass. Replaced a couple and charged me 3-4 times of the cost the heads would have costed at Home Depot. Sloppy work.

Efficient, on time and did all the work they said they would do. I have used them several times in the past and will continue to do so.

Carlos arrived on time and asked me what I needed. I told him that in my city I was allowed to water the lawn only on Tuesday and asked him to set my Rain Bird controller for that day. He did. He then went outside and adjusted all my sprinkler heads so that all areas would be watered instead of the street and fence. I gave him the coupon and he left. I was very pleased with Carlos and Acquamax and would use them again.

Two guys arrived a little early but they were polite and friendly. The weather was very cold, so their willingness to get the job done in less than ideal conditions was admirable, and they were nice enough to re-cover my vegetable gardening with frost cloth after they'd checked that zone. There was some confusion about this being part of an Angie's List deal - they were unaware until I told them toward the end of the job. I also thought the total price ($70 for tune-up deal + $120 labor + $153 parts = $343) was a little pricey considering what was done. Improved communication between the office and the techs would be helpful here, I think.

The workers called on the day of the appointment and were able to come earlier to make the repairs. The sprinkler head repair and controller installation were completed in less than an hour. The installers were friendly and knowledgeable. I had only intended to have the broken head repaired, but the controller was old and indicating circuit failure and they were able to make this fix at the same time very quickly.

I did not like them at all. They really just went through the motions. Part of the Deal was that they would program my sprinkler system. They did not do that. I had to ask them if they were going to do that for me. My opinion is I would not recommend them to my friends or neighbors. They stayed within the $69.95 Big Deal purchase price. They were not passionate about their job or what they were supposed to do as what I have experienced with other Angie’s List providers. They did delay job but not a very good job. Their responsiveness was good.

It was excellent. The cleanup was great and they were great.

If he was telling the truth, the technician is very experienced, with more than 2 decades working on commercial and residential sprinkler systems. However, upon discovering that one particular cycle valve was not functioning, he could not locate the malfunctioning valve. He searched for more than an hour with no luck, then gave up and went on his way. This left us with a non-functional sprinkler system. .

It was okay. They tuned some things up but there were a few sprinkler heads that weren’t working after they left. The company sent 2 techs and they were at our home for about an hour.

Performed an inspection of all my sprinkler zones. The team was not only professional but very thorough. They found just two small issues and repaired them, quickly and efficiently! I was aware of their fees for any additional repairs and happily paid them when they completed. They were very conscientious about using their time efficiently, so that my charge would be fair and reasonable! I now have a sprinkler maintenance and repair team that I love! Will use them for all my needs going forward!

They did a great job on the problem but it was not a complete tune up because I guess we were too big. They did solve the main problem but did not tune the whole system as advertised. I got my monies worth solving the problem but not what I had been promised. If they showed up at the time requested instead of earlier I would have authorized the additional expense. But they can early did their work and left before I showed up,
