Aquamax Sprinkler Systems

Aquamax gave us the most competitive quote on the system installation (Rainbird System); they had the best warranty (3 years vs. 2 for most other companies); and they did a great job. Everything was finished in a day. They provided us with a quick tutorial on programming our system which has already come in handy. I've noticed very little water draining onto our sidewalks, so everything seems to have been calibrated very well.

Technician was helpful and showed us area for improvement on our system.

I purchased a $70 voucher from Angieslist and called these guys to schedule for some sprinkler repair work. At the time of check out we both forgot to apply the $70 credit towards the final bill and I ended up paying $655 instead of paying $585. Honest mistake right? Well that is what I thought also but these guys dont play a fair game. I contacted the Repair Tec at-least 6 times (via text message and phone call) to ask for / remind him of the $70 they owed me. Everytime I spoke to him he promised me that the $70 check was in the mail but it seems to be all lies. It has almost been 2 months now and I have yet to receive my $70 refund. I have started to think that they are just not very honest when It comes to business. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. They will cheat you and lie to you on your face. I am hoping Angieslist will do something about this and refund me the $70 that they charged. Thanks for listening !

Our professional did a thorough review of the system, adjusted and added to as needed. He was good to work with and explained in detail what he did and what I needed to do in the future.

Aquamax did a great job. The service man was a little later than anticipated, but he called and made sure we knew he was delayed. He did a thorough inspection of the system, including checking the programming of our controller. I would gladly do business with them again.

I called them for regular maintenance work but the project kept getting bigger. The serviceman first replaced the damaged sprinkler heads then we kept finding leaks which he repaired. Two of the leaks were very difficult because they were caused by the roots of the trees in my front yard. he also had to install a new cut-off valve because the previous owner of the house poured concrete over some sprinkler heads and the cut-off value in the backyard. Overall, I thought the serviceman did a great job given the difficulty of the work but I wish it was a little cheaper. I would definitely use them again.

Robert M. from Aquamax Sprinkler Systems evaluated my property and gave me an estimate. He also provided references, information on lawn irrigation in Texas, and literature on the products that they use. Aquamax's estimate was competitive with those that I received from other vendors. Their professionalism, customer references, ratings, and use of quality materials tipped the balance in their favor. The installation crew arrived early on the scheduled day. Despite the muddy work conditions caused by an overnight rain, the five-man work crew completed the installation and cleaned-up in about 6 hours. Other than the discolored grass where the water lines were buried, there's no evidence that a new system had been installed. A neighbor who watched the installation and saw the results asked for vendor's contact information because they want to have a system installed for their lawn. If you need a lawn irrigation system installed at your home, I recommend Aquamax Sprinkler Systems.

My sprinkler system wasn't turning on at all and I suspected it was due to a recent fence replacement, but I didn't have any way of proving it, so after calling a different irrigation company who's earliest availability was going to be over 2 weeks out, I called Aquamax and they said they could get someone else out on Monday morning (I called on a Friday afternoon). When they came out, I mentioned to them that I suspected the fence company had damaged something. They came back a little later and confirmed that some cables had been cut and that they went ahead and fixed them. I would have preferred that they had informed me of that first and asked how to proceed before fixing them so I could have checked with the fence company first, but I did not specifically request that they do that, so partially my fault I guess. They did write up a separate invoice with just the wire repairs so that I could send it to the fence company, since I went ahead and had them perform some additional work while they were out here. But after speaking with the owner of the fence company he wanted to send his own guy out to reconnect the wires and refused to reimburse me, which is what I was afraid would happen, so I'm left with eating that cost as it's not worth pursuing further. The additional work was mostly good, but there were a few things that could have been better. A couple of the heads are sticking out of the ground a little further than I would have liked, so I'm worried about hitting them with my mower. They also could have done a better job cleaning up and putting the grass back. There was a lot of clay left on the surface in some spots where they relocated the heads--I cleaned it up myself the best I could, but some areas may need to be re-sodded. I do realize they were probably trying to hurry because I told them I had to leave a little later on, but he did say they should have plenty of time. Finally, there was one head in the back that didn't pop up when I tested the system. I found that the head was pretty loose, and after tightening it, it popped up and performed correctly. Also, there was a fairly deep hole dug out around it that hadn't been filled in. It appeared that perhaps they had started that one and forgot to finish it. The cost ended up coming in higher than what he had verbally quoted me (doesn't it always?), but he said he adjusted the labor to get it down a little lower, so I appreciate that. The guys that came out (Patrick and Joe) were nice and didn't pressure me on anything.

They were okay. The price was okay. To get an appointment was very long. I got the feeling that because it was through Angie's List and it was a special price, I was not coming on the top of the list. I felt like I was on the bottom of the list. I wasn't very comfortable with that. Their punctuality was good.

Pedro, the technician sent by Aquamax, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He performed the service quickly, efficiently and did a great job with how little he disturbed the grass around each sprinkler. From a few feet away from our curb, it was hard to tell anything was ever done in the yard. Great job, would recommend to anyone. A++

It went well. They were fast and friendly. My sprinklers have been working great.

I have a slow leak at the sprinkler backflow preventer I called and they were able to scheduled me the same day. A two man crew came and went to work immediately. They dug up the old backflow preventer and installed the new one in about an hour. The work was done professionally and efficiently in about an hour. They know exactly what they were doing.

Very professional, little costly, but worth every penny. The guys were friendly and knowledgeable. The explained everything in depth.

The provider was here less then 45 minutes charged, me too much for changing and adjusting heads etc. - I could have done this myself. The guy that showed up was a contractor not actual employee of company. Tried to sell me other services.

Thank you to Robert- the owner. Technician showed up on time and did a check on the current system. Had an issue with the install of the new system. It wasn't working properly with the freeze sensor because tech couldn't connect properly. New sensor was installed a few months ago by lawn company and thought there could be an issue. Called them out cause it was under warranty but sensor was good, but they had to reconnect the sensor to new clock correctly. I was upset that I now had a service fee from my lawn company in addition to the charges on the clock install. Reached out to company and spoke with Robert- the owner immediately. He schedule an appointment to come and check the install and took care of the cost of any additional charges I incurred. I appreciate Robert making the negative experience into a positive experience. Great to see an owner do the right thing for the customer and their business.

We moved into this house in August. We had an inspection, which included the irrigation system but it did not show any problems at that time. Once we moved in I noticed that several of the sprinkler heads were not retracting after the system ran. I didn?t consider this an urgent problem since I could easily step on them to make them retract. I did make a mental note that I should have someone out to take a look at the system. (I suspected that the pre-sale inspection was probably a cursory inspection.) Thanksgiving day we had over three inches of rain followed by over eight inches the next day. When the system went off on that Saturday, I knew right away that our rain sensor was not working. I called Aquamax Sprinker Systems based on the ratings I read on Angie?s List. I told them that my rain sensor was not working and I also had some sprinkler head that were not retracting. The main purpose of their service call was to correct the issue with the rain sensor. When the service technician arrived, he immediately showed me that the control panel had the sensor bypass switch on. He told me this was the reason the sensor was not working. He turned the bypass switch off. He also told me that sensor was for rain only and did not sense freezing temperatures, which I found later, was not true. He went ahead and inspected the entire system and told me I needed several sprinkler heads replaced. I had assumed that the failure to retract could be remedied with a complete replacement of the head. He also found a small issue with our drip pipe, which required two fittings and one foot of drip pipe. The total bill was $668.36 after he gave us a senior citizen discount. This was more than I had hoped to pay, but I felt if it needed be done, we needed to get it done. That next Saturday, I found that the system had not run. Upon investigation, I found that the rain sensor was preventing the system from running. Looking closer at the sensor I tried to move the ?rain/freeze? / ?off? / ?rain? switch and it broke off in my hand. It was obvious to me that the technician had not even looked at the sensor itself but had stopped diagnosing the problem when he found the bypass switch on. He had told me he had another appointment at 10:00 AM that morning and since he did not finish until well after 10:00 AM I suspect he was anxious to get to his next call and simply cut corners. This week I had another company replace the sensor. Based on my experience I would not recommend Aquamax Sprinker Systems.

It was fine. They seemed a little bit high for what they did. The quality was good. I would possibly use them in the future.

It was good. They came out and did the check up. The only kind of issue was they were pretty expensive with their repairs if we had gone with them. That was the reason why we didn't continue to do repairs with them. We went with another company. Quality was fine. I would probably not use them because of the price.

It went okay. They came out about a week after I purchased the big deal. There was a small amount of additional charge. The problem was, they said they couldn't find too much stuff. But I called another person on Angie's List and they found a lot of stuff that needed to be repaired. They did what they said they would do. I would tell a friend not to use them.

Went fine. Nothing extraordinary either way.
