Ms. Krolick was prompt and kept me informed of any schedule changes. She suggested ways to update our home's look and we discussed what I wanted to do. She helped me choose paint colors and I will be making an appointment to work on flooring ideas. She definitely took my taste into consideration. Her fees are project based rather than hourly. We did not do anything further at this time as my schedule has not permitted it but I do plan to contact her when I am ready to start.

She was very, very nice but I don't think her taste was quite like mine. I kind of really wanting somebody to be more decisive. I didn't spend anymore than the big deal purchase. She's probably very good for the right match. I got my $75 worth. She has a fair price. Personally, I wouldn't use her in the future.

she came, took alot of notes, provided no advice or ideas, then left and we never hear another word. albeit, we didn't call her either, I didn't get any value from the "consultation".

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and I give them an 8 out of 10. She came over for a home visit to talk about our requirements. She had a follow up visit with us and also took us to a design center where only interior designers can shop; it is not open to the public. That was all good.

Andrea quickly assessed the arrangement of my living room and made a few adjustments that really opened up the space. Then she helped me select the colors for repainting all of the rooms in my house. She convinced me not to use colors or accent walls in several rooms that had been white for years, essentially validating our previous choices as best for those spaces. Now that it is all done, I'm so glad we stuck with the whites in those rooms and just added the touch of color in the bedrooms. It looks great. Andrea was fun to work with (not stuffy as I had envisioned) and did a lot for us in the very short time we had. In addition, she didn't make me feel stupid about what we had already done or what we were planning to do. She also made herself available for additional help by phone if we needed it. She was very generous with her time and expertise. I may have her come again to help with some of the details now that the major work is all done.

We made an appt and she arrived as scheduled. She gave me some advice on a few areas of concern. I did not feel I knew much more when she left than I did before. She writes out her ideas and gives them to you. I guess you could just scan it to computer if needed. I did get some names of people to contact for the work.

She is a little whirlwind. She came through and my girlfriend and I were there because I wanted her to be there, but it was interesting, I had bought that for two hours I needed going to be doing work on the kitchen and the master bathroom separately and I wanted design ideas for both of those and Andrea started at the front door and went all the way to the back door before she was finished and she went through the whole house and outside it. She was much more free form, I was looking for something that was more definitive with drawings and design ideas and she did have different ideas and she told me that if we decided to retain her she would come back in and how she liked to work and basically we talked as went along and went through. I think she is just kind of brain stormer about the ideas as went into the room since she told us what she saw and she gave us some ideas about how to make improvement which she thought and then she asked what we intended to do. I thought she was great and she was very reasonable and she made herself available. She gave us some great references and was extremely helpful with those something that I didn't know about that I have been using ever since almost daily I go out to the site that she gave me. I would use her again once we get to the point were we are interested in and doing some stuff like I said I need something that was more specific about what we are talking about.

Called before she was coming. She went through the whole house and was honest about what she liked and didn't. I made a list of what to buy. It was more than a 75.00 dollar service that I received, it helped for the future. She did a lot of good and was great by saying I could call anytime. She gave name of places of where I could get great deals for my house on a budget.

Andrea was running late, but she did call. She listened to my concerns, and told me how to fix some things on the cheap. She let me know it was ok to email her as my projects progressed. I plan some big tickets things which we will implement in the spring, but stuff like painting can be done as we go.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There was nothing special about the experience although I'm not sure she focused on what I wanted her to focus on but it was fine. The people were good.

My wife enjoyed the visit and the ideas she provided.

I contacted Andrea and several other designers based on their Angie's List feedback. Andrea contacted me back within 24 hours and we briefly discussed what we wanted to accomplish in our house, what professional assistance we were looking for and why, and Andrea's general working processes. Andrea's approach seemed compatible to ours, so we asked her to come over for a preliminary consultation. She arrived a few minutes late, which has been a consistent pattern throughout our relationship, and one she herself admits to - no big deal, we simply plan for it. We liked Andrea immediately, as she had many ideas which she freely shared with us, and listened well to our ideas and effectively incorporated them into her designs. We also talked to a couple of other designers, one of whom wanted to charge us $4,000 for a design, use her contractors and wait for 90 days before starting. In contrast, Andrea charged us $85 for her initial consultation, during which she explained that if we used her services to procure the materials for the job, she would make her money from rebates from the manufacturers. She also assured us that the prices of those materials would be competitive to any we would find, and that if we found any cheaper, she would either match them, or we were free to procure them from an alternate source. As the project progressed, we were able to test that assurance on a couple of occasions - in one of which she matched the best price we found, and on another we used a different supplier than she had recommended due to our preference for a different product. Andrea provided contractor recommendations for flooring/tiling/bathroom reconstruction, cabinet makers, painting and cabinet staining, granite countertops, glass tinting, minor construction, plumbing, and window treatment, and we ended up using all of them. Andrea billed us for the floor/tile/bathroom, glass tinting and window treatment work, while we contracted with all the other contractors individually. Andrea's services include limited Project Management, and we found that she was excellent at facilitating the initial contact with the various contractors, after which the estimating, selection and scheduling were pretty straight forward. This group of contractors work with each other frequently through Andrea's referrals, and all do high quality work in a very professional manner. They are not the cheapest, but their professionalism, dependability and quality of their work make it well worth the extra money. Each of them is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and consistently met their commitments in terms of when they would be here and how long the work would take, as well as the agreed on cost. This represents a significant improvement from my prior experiences in remodeling projects. The total construction time was about 6 weeks, and we spent 3-4 weeks prior to construction designing, reviewing and selecting kitchen and master bath designs, hardwood floors, tiles, granite, backsplashes, interior paint colors, custom cabinet design, light and plumbing fixtures, etc. The project is now 95%+ complete, with only punchlist items remaining. We feel we have gotten a fabulous value for our investment, and could not be happier with our selection of a designer and the process she led us through.

Great! I now have the plans I wanted to finish decorating the master bedroom & dining room. And, Andrea also helped with where to hang certain pictures and what color scheme would look best. I plan on contacting her for further help with these projects.

We purchased a house that needed many changes before we moved in. No small task and complicated by the fact we were still in Houston. We had never worked with a decorator before but between starting off at a distance and not having any connections in the area, we felt we needed some help. We spent a whirlwind afternoon with Andrea and chose paint colors and flooring materials for the entire house. We knew we were on the same page when she pulled out a paint card that was the same color card we brought from home. She has very good contractor contacts and both paint and flooring were done very well at good prices before we moved in. Andrea also guided us through choosing a new fireplace and hearth/wall, custom window treatments, and furniture. Throughout the process she was responsive and always kept us appraised on progress. She listened well and understood our style, helping us without imposing her own style. We appreciated the she does not hesitate to help you find ways to save money and will tell you when you don't need to spend money on something.

We started with little more than rooms and a painting. Andrea took my budget and led me through the entire process of choosing fabric for window treatments, paint color, blinds, custom furniture, lighting and floor coverings. I had no clue how to begin, but she did. She hooked me up with fantastic contractors, good deals and high quality furnishings. We got along very well, both of us straight shooters and decision makers. The entire process took about 6 months for three rooms. She kept entirely to my budget. I will definitely be using her for future work in my home.

Andrea Krolick, ASID was close on her time limit, considering she tried to fit us in concerning Collin County and came as quick as she could. My husband and I understand and she did come out this far. Her knowledge of glass window sealants was amazing. We didn't know that sealing windows with film penetrates into your glass windows and actually destroys the glass and in addition, the heat gets trapped into the windows. Andrea recommended Hunter Douglas "Weave Fabric Design" SHUT OUT Roller Shades would be the best to block out the Sun and also conserve Energy on our Electric Bill. Boy was she RIGHT. We could have also gotten these shades remote control but instead we asked Andrea to look at our Strange Den that we have tried for 13 years to place proper furniture but to no Avail. Andrea drew up a sketch for us and then found furniture at a reasonable cost and we just love our TV/Den area now, after 13 long years of purchasing furniture that never fit our TV/Den Area. Rod is disabled and retired from 5 back surgeries and Andrea was able to help with a new Modern "Low Gravity" Leather Chair and ottoman for him and Rod just loves. I like that it looks more Modern than the usual ugly fat recliner. Andrea also took a quick look at the rest of my downstairs and upstairs and added more Hunter Douglas Shades in my Master Bedroom. Andrea also rearranged my front Living Room. Before we spent this type of money, we certainly needed Andrea to help us and we are both glad we called her. The finish look is so streamlined and Urban Feeling and that's what we wanted. I was amazed and Andrea also helped us with paint colors since our house interior had not been painted in 13 years. She also recommended we remove all the popcorn ceilings. This is only Stage One. My husband and I plan to ask Andrea to return to help us remove all the brass that is left, in our home (she has Fantastic recommendations for websites too for the best internet prices.) Rod would like Andrea's help when we plan to gut our 13 year old Master Bathroom. She's been with us every step of the way. We went from just replacing our floors in a couple of rooms to a major home improvement project. We replaced all our floors (with new hardwood and tile); we then ventured into our bathrooms that needed a major overhaul; new showers, fixtures, floors, countertops etc. Andrea helped guide us through the entire process, being a partner in selections, consultation, etc. I can't say enough positive things also about all of the sub-contractors we have worked with! They were all professional and performed quality work with us. I would recommend any of them to you! She took what could have been a very awful experience and has made it fun. We are finishing up things now with new furniture as well as accent pieces for our home. Thank you Andrea for everything you have done to turn our home into a new castle!

She was very late, which made her visit short. I (the wife) had to leave to pick up children. She talks a lot, but not to meet our expections choosing the paint colors for diffrent area.

We Hired Andrea to walk through our house and try to make it more of a home. Although we know what we are doing from a decorating standpoint we wanted some expertise. We live in a spec house, not a custom built home and are starting to do some remodeling and painting, but we needed some guidance on what changes to make. We visited with her for about an hour. Andrea is a free spirit and is not afraid to tell you what is on her mind. She has likes and dislikes from a decorating perspective and does NOT like fake looking greenery. We have made some changes and are going to visit with her again soon to devise a plan. Overall, going well. We don't always agree with her, but it is nice to get an outside opinion. Updated 8/5/13 We have met with her a couple of more times and it seems like we have to do some reinventing of the wheel. She is unorganized and lacks the ability to follow up. She has some great ideas, but doesn't listen to what we want. It has been over six weeks since we have seen or heard from her and honestly don't care to see her again.

We were able to set an appointment up quickly and according to my schedule. She also said that she works Saturdays so we don't have to take time off work. She provided a lot of good ideas. She has a very outgoing personality so it is easy to communicate with her. She was confident that if we needed something outside of her services, she would be able to find us someone that would help. It's nice to know that we can count on her to get referrals.

We are still in the initial period of picking out flooring, tile, etc. She has connected us with those who will actually be doing the kitchen remodeling, etc. It is a work in progress at this point. Update: the projects were completed the end of February and we are very pleased with the results. Andrea has a great set of contractors that she recommends and we used for our remodel. They did a great job and worked well with one another. We replaced flooring through out the house, cork in the kitchen, master bath and master walk in closet; bamboo in the remaining living areas of the house. The contractor for this phase was Don Steneck of Don Steneck Floors (not on Angie's List); great crew here for weeks demo the tile and installing new floors. Cabinets were done by Mike McCoy of Frontline Home Services; and painting and staining were done by Nielsen Painting and Remodeling; see their separate Angie's List reviews. The entire remodeling took approx.7- 8 weeks, with a total cost of $49,000. for all labor and material. We finally have the house we wanted in the first place. Andrea helped us with our decisions and showed us some things we would not aware, some of which we used in the remodel. We couldn't have done it without Andrea. Thanks!
