Andrea provided great suggestions for the renovations I plan to do.

My mother-in-law was happy with Andrea's recommendations and it gave her a vision going forward of how to decorate her new home.

We moved into a new home and had many pictures and mirrors to hang. We couldn't decide which should go where, so we looked at Angie's List. Andrea had so many favorable reviews, that we called her. She showed up as scheduled, and she spent more than twice the amount of time she'd scheduled. She was delightful. She looked at what we had to hang, looked at the colors of each of our rooms and their layouts, then walked us through item by item, room by room, color by color, and gave us great, great, great advice. We were so very pleased, we'll use her again when we need design/decorating help and recommend her unconditionally. We've since called her for referrals for some shelves and have been pleased with them also.

Really love her enthusiasm and ideas. She is great at listening to what I want and understanding my design tastes. Very talented and very reasonable prices!!

She gave some suggestions and rearranged some of my furniture. It was okay. She was supposed to get back to me through e-mail. She measured my windows and was going to hook me up with someone who has good prices on Hunter shades and she has never gotten back to me.She was punctual and was a nice person.

Overall it went very well. Andrea worked around my crazy schedule, promised what was delivered and by when it was delivered. She came up with real options during the design process that matched my vision and taste. I feel that she really understood what I was trying to do and worked to accommodate it. I look forward to working with Andrea on my next project.

Andrea walked thru my house and asked what my need was - following foundation repairs, I had some sheetrock damage that had to be fixed and I wanted to add some color to interior walls. My goal was to repaint all rooms in the house and I needed some help picking colors. Andrea helped pick colors from my initial research and additionally assessed my window coverings and wall decor; at all time she was respectful of my financial situation and what I had to work with in my updates. I would highly recommend her work for big or small updates - what a pleasant experience. I had so much fun and made my repairs easier!

We made revisions to the existing plans with her and then met again to review colors, types of products (like flooring, paint, lights, tile, cabinets, shower enclosure ) . She lugged samples over to our house so we could do this after work on our schedule. Andrea respected our vision but offered her expertise and insight. Once we had the details ready Andrea provided a list of contractors she felt would do a good job at a reasonable price (based on her experience from other projects). We coordinated with them to get bids and schedule work. (We used most of the folks she had recommended). Andrea intervened with contractors when needed. When we were not sure about the finished project she even suggested going to an art show where we picked out some pictures to complete the room. Andrea was not a general contractor on this which is how we wanted to go but it was very beneficial having her contacts. The contractors provided reasonable prices and good workmanship. After the initial consultation fee Andrea did not charge us again but did make several trips over from her office in Addison to check on the project Andrea was very patient and a good "hand holder" through out this process. She was always upbeat and positive. Despite being overwhelmed and procrastinators by nature we now have a lovely new master bath.

GREAT! This woman was right on with the color selection of a remodel. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She has a very big personality. She is very efficient and did exactly what you wanted a color specialist to do.

Based on our overall experience with Andrea, I would BEWARE of getting little to nothing for Andrea's consultation price. It has been two weeks since our appointment and have not received a call/email/message/text for any of the things she said she would work on and send to us. Mainly she only offered drawings of how to set up the furniture in our family room. It feels like she sets a bunch of consultation appointments to get her check, but nothing else has come from this. We do feel taken advantage of! Honestly, I feel like she should refund our money. Here are additional details to our experience if you are interested: Andrea's initial response was within 24 hours. Her next appointment wasn't available for over a week, but I was fine with that. Andrea was over an hour late, and did text and call to keep us informed on her arrival. We showed her the room we needed help with and she took what she calls "approximate" measurements, but said she couldn't tell us anything about furniture placement until she worked on it at home. Much of the appointment felt very random, with 90% of the talk about other subjects not pertaining to the help we needed. I showed her a few other rooms, that I didn't really want help with but felt I needed to ask since she wasn't able to give us anything for our family room at the appointment. I did not show her my bedroom, and she awkwardly joked with my husband that she wasn't allowed in the master bedroom. She did not ask me about style or ask to see pictures of my goals to help her, but instead gave suggestions for other rooms that were not what I was interested in. Ironically she said a few times, that what I had already was great and nothing else needed to be done.

Andrea was great. We went room by room and discussed moving furniture to set the rooms up a little better. She only recommended purchasing a few items to help pull the rooms together. Once I move, I'll look forward to having Andrea help me out in the new house too!

Things went well during the consultation process, however the experience went downhill during the actual project itself. Specifically, Andrea was a bit disorganized and had trouble returning calls and emails in a timely manner. As an example, I didn't actually receive the headboard for the bed until September which was nearly 6 months after the project had started. She also delegated many tasks to me instead of doing them herself.

Plans didn't help with odd room design. Andrea was very nice but the actual service wasn't what I had in mind.

Andrea visited our house on a Saturday morning. My wife and I explained that, once upon a time, our living room had a view of our backyard through 3 large plate windows. But a previous homeowner had enclosed the patio, so we didn't need two of those windows anymore. I had considered converting them into built-in shelving units. We wanted to improve the overhead lighting in the room, too. Andrea suggested that we wall up the windows and install a custom free-standing cabinet instead. She also recommended a cabinetmaker and a lighting expert. We showed Andrea our two bathrooms, where we had recently refurbished the tub/shower areas. She liked what we had done and proposed that we refurbish, not replace, the vanity cabinets, plus replace the carpeting with tile floors. We also discussed painting the walls and other improvements. Her visit lasted about an hour. Andrea was energetic, positive and very complimentary. We have accepted her advice, although we won't take action for awhile due to financial considerations. Thanks to Andrea, we now have a path towards enhancing our living room and bathrooms.

I appreciated Andrea's advice very much. We were really uncertain what to do with our new house. Andrea gave me a number of good ideas and helped me see some potential in some furniture I was going to get rid of. She helped me pick out some neutral colors for the house. We like color but the colors were so loud we could not hear anything else so we went neutral and we can start to make it our own. She helped us very much when we were lost.

Andrea is wonderful! She will help you redecorate your house in your budget. I will call her again in the future!

Andrea called me to let me know she was heading my way and approx. time of arrival. She arrived at our scheduled time and began moving some items that were poorly arranged. She suggested places to hang art and other accessories. We also discussed ideas for updating my kitchen. She asked me to contact her as I began some of my projects and she would help me with any other contacts needed. Andrea gave me the list of items we discussed and this will be useful in my planning.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out really well. She gave me some suggestions that I was able to implement right away. I had some more long term goals and she suggested some contacts. One of the things I wanted to do was to make more storage space and she suggested a way to add a pantry. She suggested an organizer that I ended up hiring and they did a great job. She had some great contacts. We talked about my needs and she said that before I spent a lot of money, we should bring in an organizer and get her suggestions and ideas and then see where we would go from there. It saved me a lot of money and it gave me good direction. She said that once I finished some of my major objectives to give her a call and we would go over more of the decorating projects I had in mind. We decided to get some of the other stuff I wanted to get done before we did the decorating. She rearranged some furniture in the family room very quickly; it literally took 5 minutes. When my husband got home, he was like wow and said what a difference just moving some furniture made. It was something I would have never even considered and it made a huge difference to my husband. I was very happy. She charges a flat amount to come back and not an hourly rate, so it's not like I have to watch the clock. It is a lot more economical than I thought.

Andrea was responsive and punctual. Her honesty was refreshing and we were pleased with her ideas and recommendations.

Andrea arrived in the specified time frame (It was an icy day too!). She went right to work listening to my concerns and offering suggestion on prioritizing my wish list. She offered a number of resources including upholstery and kept in mind my budget. She re arranged my living room with a really good flow. I am planning to call her to start the first phase of my design plan.

Andrea delivered exactly the kind of help I was looking for. I wanted her opinions about the decorating I've already done in our home and her suggestions for the future. Some things she liked and said I'd done a good job and some things she suggested how improvements could be made. I had a couple of specific questions which she addressed and, she helped my husband and I blend our color preferences to something we could both live with. To some people, it may seem that she "comes on a little strong", but my husband and I were fine with it because she was light hearted, genuine and professional. I think we got MORE than $79 worth of help and direction. Thanks, Andrea !
