Amazing Exteriors

It is a long process. We had Amazing Siding come and give us an bid on replacing the siding on the house in stages on Aug 14, 2013. We signed a contract on that day for a portion of the house to be completed. Work was started in Oct 2013. The entire bid was for 40,000.00 with the first phase as 18,000.00. Once the work was completed the plugs in the bathroom on the inside wall of where they were working were dead. I talked with the salesman who referred me to the office. I called and emailed the office only to be put off till after the holidays. Then no return call again. I last called in mid March and was told the manager would call me back to discuss the plugs plus schedule the next phase of the siding. I have not heard from them and now it is April. The communication with this company has been bad at best.

I called to have a salesperson give me an estimate on siding, soffits & trim for my 2-story home. I was told they don't do storm doors. Since the door would have to be removed in order to install siding, I opted not to have them give me an estimate. I was disappointed as they came highly recommended by my neighbor. Other siding companies did not see this as an issue.

I had very good experience with Amazing siding. Chris and Scott came to give initial estimate and gave presentation about company and product. Very informative and professional. Crew they sent was very experienced and knew what they doing. They cleaned up site after they were done. I would highly recommend them.

The work was good. The siding was efficiently put in.

The quote scheduling went well but after moving the time the sales person showed up late which I believe was an honest mistake. The sales person gave me a verbal quote which sounded in the ballpark of other quotes I had received but stated he would follow up the next morning with a written quote. 3 business days and a weekend later I have yet to hear from him. I get that I only needed one window (being a bow window it was actually 5) and not a house full but if they weren't interested in my business they shouldn't have wasted my time or his coming out.

We had a good experience. Justin, our salesman, was professional and thorough in his explanation of his product. We felt comfortable working with him which is important when making a large purchase. We chose the Marvin Infinity windows for their good looks, options, and name. Took about six - seven weeks from order to install. The installation team, headed by Tom D., is awesome and worked incredibly well together.

Our estimator arrived on time in a company shirt. He was very kind, thorough and informative. He took a lot of time to carefully measure the exterior of our house and explain the various aspects of the job and showed us material options. He explained what makes Amazing unique and sold the company to us in a non-pushy way. He was very personable the whole time and patient as we asked many questions. When presenting the quote, he broke down the price in a way that convinced us we were getting a fair deal. There were several line items broken down into more detailed items to clarify how much each portion would cost. He also gave us an idea of what services would cost should we remove or add part of the "package" he was presenting. He then explained the installation process and financing options, again, in a non-pushy, simply informative way. He thanked us for our time and left, promising to follow up at the time we arranged with him.

We found this company at the Home and Garden show in Dallas in March. The in home sales meeting with Pike was very professional and he answered all our questions and provided a very clear and concise quote. In comparing information from other vendors, we found out that our 96" tall windows are an unusual size. Many of the window companies can't make windows over 84" and have to put a mullion in that would block the view. Amazing Siding and Windows confirmed that they could do the work, and we placed the order. It did take 4 months to receive the windows, but we found out that Marvin, the manufacturer of Infinity, had to retool to make the taller product. I do the appreciate the fact that Marvin was willing to make a non standard size. The installation was completed on 9/27 and it took a full week to do the work due to the size of the job. Kevin Norris was the installation subcontractor, and was professional and answered all of our questions during the installation. The installation of windows, trim work and attention to detail was excellent. They left the jobsite neat and clean and instructed us in the operation of the windows. Three of the levelers will need to be replaced, but a technician came out to the house to confirm the part numbers. The parts will be in and replaced in about a week. They even gave us a lien free affidavit at the end of the job, without us having to ask. The windows look and function great. I like the fact that they aren't as thick as vinyl windows and they are more durable. I would recommend this product and firm to others.

Ordered 27 windows for my older home. Manufacturing delays caused a few weeks of delay on the expected timeline. Once the windows did arrive we were very happy with the quality of manufacturing. Provider failed to test for lead appropriately during the sales process and discovered after the first day of chiseling and knocking out windows that indeed lead was present on many surfaces. Immediately upon discovering, the owner took care of the lead issue by properly sealing the work areas. Post install we paid for the AC ducts to be thoroughly cleaned and provider offered to pay that bill as a result of the problems on the first day. I appreciated that but won't let that influence my review. A third party painter/carpenter came to review the work and give bids on the painting of the trim, their feedback was that the windows were installed correctly and were of high quality but that the trim work on the inside was very badly done. Because the new windows were substantially shallower than the old frames, the trim used was too shallow, in many places the trim was not fully attached and was buckling due to missing nails, as well the trim at the bottom of each window was done in a very odd shape so that there was a gap between the bottom trim and rest of the trim, overall it just looks mediocre. Painters did their best with fillers and caulk to fix the botched trims. I might use this provider again in the future because they represent what I think are the highest quality replacement windows but I would be more diligent about reviewing the trim work before paying them. Perhaps my ignorance as to window install quality is why I didn't catch the trim issue and It's quite possible they would have come back and fixed the trim because they were responsive to any complaints but I didn't have the patience to drag the project out any longer.

Buying windows is a long process -- from the time of researching the various types, brands and providers to actually getting the windows installed! After getting several bids and determining what best fit our needs we decided on Infinity Fiberglass Windows from Amazing Siding. These were not the least expensive windows we could have bought -- they were near the high end -- but they were a good balance for us between price, quality, manufacturer's reputation and quality of the local installation team. Once the windows were ordered, it took about 6 weeks for them to be built and arrive. The installation team was phenomenal and in my opinion this is what a buyer has to look for in replacing windows - it is a tough job that must be done correctly. The head installer contacted us about a week before installation and we set up a time for them to be installed -- time frame would be 2 days. They arrived on time both days (in fact the second day it was raining and they finished the windows on our covered patio first in hopes the rain would stop and they could finish the job which is exactly what happened) The installers were careful in removing our old windows, installing the new ones and cleaning up after the job. They were careful to keep our security wires pulled so that the windows could be rewired by the security firm at a later date. In fact, the security installer when he came out to reinstall the window contacts commented on how well and neatly the wires had been left for him to do his job. The installation team was very friendly and put in a full day's work -- no goofing around! They answered all of our questions during the process and were committed to doing a professional job. We love the new windows. Very highly recommended window and installation team.

We chose not to use them due to cost.

The crew is lead by Ben. They are good and hard working people. My windows weren't the lowest, but they were the best windows for the price. They were punctual and ontime.

Went allright. Had to get the company to overide the mechanic in the way the short pieces between windows were installed but other than that it seemed to go fine. (He started installing vertical pieces instead of matching the existing wood siding horizontal look. The salesman had specifaclly assured us it would match the existing siding). Like all contractors it's best to nail down exactly what you want in wrighting. Amazing siding did stand up to the plate and made it right.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the results. The quote process for this job was actually done by Scott Exteriors. It was Scott Exteriors that suggested covering up the old window that was no longer usable. I hadn't thought of that and was glad they suggested it. The work was performed as scheduled, and due to the coordination with the power company, it required a second day to complete the job. This was no surprise to me and not a problem at all. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of the work performed. They improved significantly over the job that was originally done by some other unknown contractor (before I bought the house). The finished job was very neat and clean, and they cleaned up after themselves with nothing left behind. I also really appreciate how accommodating they were with respect to coordinating with the power company. As the owner of the house, it was up to me to arrange with the power company for them to come out to the house. The power company was also very responsive to the situation, but the siding guys still were required to adjust their schedule. The power company removed power while the siding guys did repair work to the strain relief anchor and to the siding around the outside box where power came to the house. I was never actually required to even show up at the house. They coordinated amongst themselves, and the finished job was perfect.

Wow! These guys are good. I did as Angie suggested in getting three estimates in detail. Amazing siding was not the highest or lowest, however, their presentation was the best. Pike explained the process of the entire project in detail, from the beginning , through the tear down, insulation, infrastructure repair, installation, gutters, and clean up. The personal approach was a breath of fresh air. He listened to all of our concerns and assured us that we would be taken care of. The office people called and informed us of our delivery and expected completion and kept us informed . When the work began, the guys were great. Professional, hard workers. Our house had alot of siding and many angles which made it difficult, however, the guys breezed through it in 3 days. Chris ( the boss) and Pike our original contact were onsight each day. House looks great and done in a timely manner. No hassles in the end, Chris came out an inspected it and charged what the estimate was for. No extras. Highly recommend these guys to anyone needing work done.

The estimator was very courteous, on time, and answered all our questions. He gave a detailed explanation of the scope of work, written estimate of the cost, and approximate start date. The total cost was slightly over $19000, and they required no cash or pre-payment of any kind, and payment was to be made after compleion of the work and after our complete satisfaction was obtained. The timetable for the start date was delayed a week or so past the original estimate, but the company advised us of this situation early and it was no problem. Once work commenced, the installers were very courteous, prompt, and diligent in finishing the project. We are totally satisfied with the end result, and can say that the appearance and function of the new windows actually exceed our expectations. There were no unexpected costs, and the final payment was exactly per the original estimate/agreement. My wife and I could not possibly be more pleased with the final result. The entire experience was A+ in every way.

took a long time to get on the schedule

They were very timely and I only had to wait about 3-4 days. I had to meet them at Starbucks and they gave me a price of $24,000. When I told them I didn’t accept that offer, they then offered the job at $18,000. I asked for a written estimate so that I am aware of all the details, but still have not received it. Yesterday I have followed up with them and they advised me they their employee is sick and they aren't able to get the estimate off of their computer to mail it to me.

They were able to offer foam insulation which matched the siding on the house. The other guys that I talked to didn't offer that. It proved to be a better insulation so that's why I used them. I got the bid in November but I didn't want the work done until March. Another company gave me a little bit cheaper quote but they didn't have all the fancy stuff. I didn't choose the most expensive or the cheapest. It is a 2400 square foot house. They are well known and I believe they will do a good job. The supervisor/construction manager has already come by to answer any questions that I've had. Everything is on a good start so far. They are not the cheapest. I don't have any complaints so far. They seem to be professional so far and have shown up when they said they would. I haven't paid them yet but I have signed a contract.

The sales team was excellent. After the sale was made we did have some problem getting emails and phone calls returned. Some weren't returned at all, none were returned in a timely manner. There were some communication descrepencies on their end. Once we were able to schedule the job it was performed on the date scheduled, though it did take about 25% longer than we were told. The end result is fantastic. It looks very, very good and we are so pleased. However, we weren't always thrilled with the installers. They were very messy while they were here. They did not clean up at all until they left at the end of the third day. The other nights they left empty cans and trash everywhere. The lead man was very respectful, but the crew did leave a bit to be desired. One of our sprinkler heads and a small tree were completely destroyed. We are still finding nails everywhere. When we did the walkthrough at the end there were three minor things that needed to be completed. We were told that they were no big deal, but that instead of sending the guys back out that day the Project Manager would have to pass the list on to Amazing's office and have them schedule a time for the items to be completed by the crew. After a week we received a call from Amazing Siding saying that they had dropped the ball and were sorry and that they would be scheduling the remaining items right away. That week, the Project Manager showed up unannounced. He wanted to do one of the three things on our list, but we had already taken care of that one. The second thing on our list he had said they could do but found out from Amazing Siding that doing that item would actually void the Hardy Board warranty. This was the second time that the Project Manager gave us incorrect information regarding the Hardy product. The third item the Project Manager said he was scheduling to have done on Tuesday March 20. He needed someone else to help him with it and that was the first day that would work. It is now March 26 and we haven't heard anything. Again, the finished product is beautiful and I recommend Amazing Siding for the Hardy work. However, you should be prepared to stay on top of any communication with their office.

Exterior doors: Selection was very good, there were some delivery issues from the factory which I thought somewhat odd as we provided a substantial amount of lead time with approximately 12 weeks. Overall installation experience on doors would get a C+ Windows: Some issues with the initial estimates and measurements. Problems were handled to my satisfaction. Overall installation experience on windows would get a A Siding: Job was performed well even with the problems and handicaps imposed by our roof. Overall installation experience on siding would get a A Gutters: Replaced quickly and efficiently Overall installation experience on gutters would get a A+ Most importantly, our project manager (And salesman,) Jeremy Williams was there to ensure the job was done correctly. Jeremy and the office crew acted as our advocates. During the post siding walk-around Jeremy observed areas that could be improved upon and directed the crew to do so. While we may have paid a little more for Amazing Siding, I am satisfied that it was worth it. I expected a job of this scope to have problems caused by deliveries of the product (Doors), human error (Windows), and human nature. Amazing siding minimized every problem that they could control and worked to accommodate my schedule as needed. Overall, this project was completed with very high quality and minimal problems given the scope and age of the house. Highly and unequivocally recommended.

Estimate was written and contract was signed three months prior to work being done. Long lead time was expected, just not quite that long. Communication with the company was difficult due to the admin staff not keeping normal business hours. At one point the sales rep even called me as though I was somehow holding up the job. In the end the work done was good. However, the company does not come across as professional from an administrative standpoint.

Met Amazing Siding and Windows at a home show and set up appt for estimate. Windows were ordered and ready in about 5 weeks. Installers took out all old windows and the patio doors. Installation of 16 vinyl double hung windows, 2 very large vinyl picture windows and two double sliding fiberglass patio doors took 2 days. They were very professional and competent. They cleaned up and hauled off the old windows. Work was done in the Kessler Park area of Dallas.

Made appointment and sales person showed up right on time. He spent a good deal of time inspecting and measuring my home. Talked to me in detail about options for siding and different replacement types I had already gotten several estimates form other companies. My 2 cents on caparison: Amazing siding was the highest bid received, ranging form 1.4 to 3 times other bids (i got a total of 5 bids, including them) SIDING: I my opinion their siding was superiorly engineered - much more rugged than most. However the siding was very pricey. It may be - "you get what you pay for". I indicated the sales person was nice & professional but being an engineer, I was not convinced with his marketing speech on how much better their siding was (as compared to what i thought was the second best form my 4 other quotes) It also seemed harder for a DYI home owner to do minor repairs with their product. WINDOWS: Again their windows were the most expensive but there was less of a price delta compared to the siding. I do not think there windows were better than the competition.

it didn't. I'd say have a large $$$$ project that is simple in scope before you even bother calling - AND be prepared to take off work to meet with them.
