We shut our outside pool cabana down for the winter, shutting off water to the building prior to the winter cold, and opening faucets. Remember, our lowest temps this winter of 2009/10 got down to 19 degress F. In opening the cabana in preparation for the summer swimming season, we turned the water back on only to discover we had a running toilet and a burst shower pipe. The burst shower pipe was inaccessible between a prefab shower stall,and the outside siding of the cabana. Alpha Plumbing came out and diagnosed where the shower leak was, but told me the outside siding would need to be removed to give them access to the pipe, and due to liability restrictions, they would not be responsible for the removal and replacement of the siding, and I needed a contractor to do that. However, as soon as that was taken care of they would return and fix the plumbing. As the homeowner, I ended up taking down and replacing the siding myself, however they did return the next day, after I had the siding down, and promptly fixed the broken pipe and the broken pipe in the toilet. The technician, Arnold, that came out the second trip, couldn't have been nicer or more professional replacing the copper piping with an extreme temperature expandable pipe to hopefully prohibit future temperature variances of this nature. My neighbor called me at work and told me that lots of water was shooting up in the air in my front yard. I called Sean at Alpha Plumbing not knowing exactly what the problem was. They dispatched one of their service trucks to my house and by the time I got home the busted main was repaired, They even had my grass replanted where they dug up the broken water line. It was almost like it never even happened. I learned that the city is responsible for the main between the street and the meter, and I was responsible for the line from the meter to the house. They were very prompt and professional and fixed the problem before more serious damage was done. The job site was all cleaned up, the cost was very reasonable and I highly recommend them to any homeowner or business in need of a plumber

He was on time, quoted me the hourly rate ahead of time and how much the repair would be once he figured it out.

When we called in they promised a plumber that day, but did not commit to a time. We were happily surprised when one showed up so quickly. He was uniformed, extremely polite, worked quickly and obviously knew what to do. My wife appreciated the time he took to check out every faucet in the house. I appreciated the way he refilled the hole and replaced the sod so it looked as if nothing had happened. This is the fourth time we have used this company, their charges are a little high, but the work quality and and the quality of the staff make it more than worthwhile. We would not consider calling anyone else for plumbing work.

Showed up on time, 2:00 p.m. on a hot August day and appeared to be in a clean uniform. Very polite and efficient. When he needed to clean up he went back out to his truck to get his paper towels (didn't even ask to use those sitting on the counter). Turns out he was right about the tank and the manufacturer covered it under warranty. This is the second time we have used Alpha and both times have been excellent customer service experiences. While I think the service fee is a little high, it was disclosed when the appointment was made, and based on the service we were happy to pay it. Will definitely use this company again for our plumbing needs.

The plumber, Ben was one day late due to getting stuck at one work site. We had to continually call to figure out whether he could come, though the lady who answered calls was very polite. Finally he made a quick trip to our house that evening to show us how to turn off the water and give us an idea of where he thought the leak was. We were then ''1st in line'' for the next day. We forgave the scheduling conflicts because we know things happen, but we did have to take off from work one whole PM and one whole AM the next day. They arrived the next morning and started digging right away. Ben was very polite, and gave frequent updates on their progress (he brought an assistant). He explained everything on the bill, even drawing me a diagram of the pipes. They cleaned up as best they could afterwards and I felt the quality of work was very good. We would recommend them if price is of no concern. The next time I will probably use a more affordable plumber recommended by Angie's List.
