badly. they were 1 1/2 hours late. Ran out of gas between the two houses, which are only 2 miles apart. I smelled alcohol on the owners breath. It took 8 hours. Worst moving experience I've ever had. I've used AB Moving twice in the past, really regret not using them this time.

It ended up going okay. Really honestly I wasn't that happy about it. We had a custom home that was built and when you build a custom home you have one set of closing date and then they push it back because something wasn't ready and they push it back again because something else wasn't ready. From the beginning, when I initially called them I explained my situation to the manager. I told him when I purchased it I knew we weren't moving til like a few months out if not longer. I asked him how much of a notice do we have to give him and I also explained to him that our situation. where we were moving from and where we were moving to. I also explained to him how big of a house we were moving from to the big of the house we were moving to. I already knew the things I would need him to put together because the new furniture the company who was delivering the furniture was going to install. Basically, a few of the pieces of the furniture that we were moving from the old home that they would take down What we took down wanted to get the price in order for them to get ig back together once we got there. I went into detail, all in all, and I know the price wouldn't be 100% on the mark but he explained to me that I would have to purchase two coupons for what I would need. I made sure when I purchased, I purchased two coupons. When the time came, two times I ended up having to change the date because the house wasn't ready. They hadn't finished putting the finishing touches. So they gave us one closing date and I called the movers a few days to a week ahead of time to tell them they were changing it. The second time, we had to change it and the third time, we actually ended up moving. Once we ended up moving, everything went according to the way that I told them it was going to go. Then once they got there and they had to put things together, which is the same thing I explained to him that I needed him to put together. He ended up charging me extra for changing the date. He ended up charging me extra for putting the things together. On top of that, a $350 art picture we never did find. Then when I called him once I realized that the picture was missing because the home we were moving from it's still our property. We didn't have anyone to move into that property until February 2012. My husband and I, before we went and repurchased the picture, we searched up and down that house for the picture, which we knew it was in the garage. We ended up unpacking everything from the new house. I called them the next day when I noticed the picture was missing and he told they didn't have the picture. If it's not in the home that we still to this day still have that property, we never did find it there and it never did show up in our new home, where did the picture go? So we ended up having to purchase another $350 picture for my husband's game room on top of us being charged another additional $400 for he said changing the date twice and for putting all the furniture together. So I was out almost another grand and I wasn't too happy about it.
Description of Work: I purchased two big deal coupons for All Professional Moving worth $500. Then we had to pay almost another additional $350-$400 because we changed the date twice and because they had to put things together.

I had scheduled All Profesional Moving to move me from Plano to San Antonio on Friday, November 18th. We closed on our house on Thursday and the movers were scheduled to show up at 8 am on Friday but never showed up and never returned any of our phone calls. We had had all the utlities at the house shut off so we had to pay for a hotel room for 3 nights until we could find someone else to move us which ended up costing us twice as much as we had planned to pay All Profesional Moving. Also, to family that had bought our house were unable to move in on their scheduled time.
Description of Work: Move a household from Plano to San Antonio.

All Professional Moving did a good job. After spending over 20 years in the military, I know what it's like moving households. I've had better movers, but I've had plenty of movers who were far worse. Plusses -- nothing was stolen, nothing major was broken, the price was great. Minus -- didn't do a good job protecting the carpets. Many movers will put down carpet runners in the high traffic areas to protect the carpets. All Pro did not. As a result, the carpets got extremely dirty in those areas.
Description of Work: All Professional Moving moved about 7,000 pounds of household items from one house to another. It was a local move of about 15 miles. They packed all the items on one day. They loaded, moved and unloaded on the second day. I did not ask them to unpack the boxes.

The move was not pleasant, but at least they showed up. Delays, delays, broken and missing items were some of the issues we had to deal with. They do not have the workforce or experience to deal with the Big Deal they sold with AL. We ended up paying them a fair price nonetheless and regretted it later when we found broken and missing items. More than anything is the added stress on top of moving. This was my first experience using a provider from Angie's List, and frankly, I don't see the benefits of AL. This was as much AL's fault as it was APM's fault, in my opinion.
Description of Work: Moved from a 2-bedroom apartment into a home. They were late and went way way way over the estimated time of completion. I ended up paying about $400 more than the $250 coupon bought from Angie's List.

It costed more than they quoted us and it took longer than they had told us. They also caused some scratches on some of the furniture, which they never came back to fix.

It went well. There was one broken item. My office chair. It was a very nice chair I had purchased from a Office Furniture Company, very nice and costly. Greg, the owner, came back days after the move when I told him about the chair. My husband was going to throw it away and said it was not able to be fixed. Greg worked on the chair about 20 minutes and fixed the chair. I think that shows the dedication of the company, All Professional Moving and its owner, to leave the customer satisfied. They did that for us.
Description of Work: All Professional moved us twice. They moved our home on November 18th and then they went down to Houston to pick up our storage items and antiques to bring them all up to Dallas, our new home. We were very pleased with the way they respected our antique furniture. I had just gotten out of the hospital in November and the movers were extremely helpful with my condition and went out of his way to help with the process of moving, other than the job they were hired for. Very thoughtful. The only reason I gave All Professional a B on Quality, was the first move there was one mover who was not as careful as I wanted with one particular piece of antique furniture. The mover was spoken to by the owner of All Professional before I could say anything, and when I requested that that gentleman not be used on the Houston part of the job, my request was honored.

The day before the moved I emailed him to get specifics on what to expect and what to have ready, and I didn't hear from him. Around 10:30 a.m. on the day of the scheduled move, I called a different company and they moved my belongs on Saturday. On the initial call with All Professional Moving, he explained the Big Deal, how it worked, and the total cost of my move. However, he never gave me a time he would show up, and didn't request any details about the move. He didn't ask about my furniture or where I was moving to, just if the home was one or two stories. On the day of the move, he clearly failed to show up. Since then, I have had no contact with him.
Description of Work: In August, I purchased a Big Deal coupon for this moving company. The Big Deal was for $500 worth of moving plus free packing materials. I arranged for them to come the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I talked with him a couple of weeks before the scheduled move, and everything seemed fine. He initially contacted me to redeem the Big Deal, saying I was the last purchaser he hadn't schedule with. It appeared at the time he was interested.

Overall, the move went very, very well. I am highly satisfied with the services provided. Greg and his two employees did an excellent job moving our large house quickly, efficiently, safely, and with no damage to our property. There was one minor blip on timing, as the original move date was for Thursday the 3rd of November and there was a mix-up and he thought the move date was Friday the 4th. However, Greg was willing to work out a moving crew that day on an emergency basis. Instead, I elected to have him come out on the 4th as I needed more time. Although he did not have to, he gave me a price break as a result. In addition, he was very flexible on price negotiations once he saw that the move job was bigger than he had anticipated. Overall, I felt that he treated the situation fairly and professionally. Most importantly, Greg was highly communicative, which was very important to me. The actual move was smooth, professional, and very friendly. I would *definitely* call All Professional again for my next move and wouldn't even look at another mover.

I contacted All Professional Moving because of the Angie's List coupons posted, but when I contacted the company I was told they are not honoring the coupons any more. Despite not honoring the coupons, the person with whom I spoke (i'm assuming the owner) told me he would provide 3 movers for $65/hour which seemed like a good rate so I decided to schedule my move with them. It took several follow up calls, some initiated by me and some initiated by the owner to iron out details of the move even though the the details were the same each time we spoke. The company seems VERY disorganized and rinky-d***. My move was supposed to happen on a Wednesday and Monday morning I received a call asking if we could change the move to Tuesday, so I agreed. Tuesday morning came and nobody was at my house at 9:00am which was when the work was supposed to begin. I called at 9:15 and received a voice mail so I left a message stating that if I didn't hear back by 10:00am I would have to find another company because I had to be out of my house by Thursday. At 10am I found another company which managed to schedule my move with one call not 4 or 5 and showed up on time and did a great job. The owner of All Professional Moving finally returned my voice mail at 11:00 am with some excuse that there was some fire that apparently all of his workers had to put out or something and when I told him I had found someone else he hung up on me without even an apology for wasting my time.If you are looking for the cheapest moving company and have flexibility on when you move you can roll the dice with this company. If you need a professional moving service that will show up on time and get the job done right without having to constantly remind the company when you want to move and what your address is and shuffle around your schedule to meet the needs of the company get someone else.

Before I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal, I called Gary to ensure that he had my move date available. He was very friendly and helpful on this phone call. He explained to me how many coupons I needed to buy and what materials were included in the "free moving supplies." I bought one coupon as he instructed. About a week later, I called to have the moving supplies delivered. We set-up a date and I gave him my current address. The supplies were never delivered and I wasnt' notified that this would be the case. When I called, Gary explained that they had been "slammed" since the Angie's List Big Deal and he was sorry. Although he was obviously busy, Gary was always nice on the phone. We set up another date (two days later and 1 week before my move) to have the supplies delivered. No show and no phone call again. At this point, I was getting very frustrated. I called Gary to see what was going on. He told me that he wanted to have the moving supplies removed from the Big Deal as he didn't have the personnel or trucks to deliver these items. I told Gary that I would buy my own moving supplies if he would reimburse me for the costs. He agreed. I requested this in writing to my email that night, and I have still never received this email. I was so frustrated because I felt locked into this deal after purchasing the coupon. However, I called Angie's List and they easily refunded the amount. I was then free to move on. Since then (about two weeks later), Gary has called and left me a voicemail that I have not returned as I have been busy moving:) I hate leaving bad reviews, but I don't want anyone else to have the experience that I did. I get the feeling that this is a great company overall, but they are in over their heads with this Angie's List Big Deal. I'm sure once things calm down, people will have a better experience.

I want you and everyone that reads this to know that after the fact you had many different family members call me about the pricing. Member there is only so much i can do i can not give you a 2000.00 move for 498.00 with a 1000.00 credit. It didn't. As you can tell from the above statement. Now after a month of setting this up, I have to find another mover to handle my move this weekend. I am so frustrated!
Description of Work: Greg Gutermuth, owner, was rude and uncooperative repeatedly over several phone calls. He originally stated he did not want to do "The Big Deal" as outlined in Angie's List and had tried to get it stopped but the compnay would not stop the ad. He stated he had over 200 responses and he did not want to lose money on all these deals. He talked to me, my daughter and my son-in-law at various times about the proposed move and was argumentative and belligerent with each of us. He would not stop talking long enough to allow us any questions or comments, but did agree on Sat. Nov. 5 for the move. He finally hung up on us last evening saying he would not do my agreed upon move on Sat. Nov. 5, 2011, but would take his wife out to dinner instead and that we obviously did not have the money for the move or we would pay the full price. He stated I could not report this to Angie's List as he did not perform any service for me. I do not understand what I said or did to bring about this response, or how he can stay in business with this attitude. The other negative "F" rating really seemed more in line with what I experienced. Help.

Greg and his crew were extremely courteous and professional. They started immediately upon arrival and didn't slow down until the job was finished. Although they moved everything very quickly, they were very careful and deliberate. The delivery went at smoothly as the pickup ...even faster. All our belongings arrived with no damage. Thanks Greg, to you and your crew!
Description of Work: Had a 4-bedroom house of stuff squashed into a 3-bedroom apartment ...typical stuff plus washer/dryer, a piano and more boxes than I could count. Greg and his team moved everything into a nearby 4-bedroom house in only 5 hours. Job did not include any packing.

I recently got married and my husband was scheduled to move from his apartment to my house on 10/2/11. We hired All Professional Movers, operated by Greg Gutermuth, through Angie’s List and purchased 2 coupons at $299 each ($498 total), which entitled us to 8 hours of moving. In my phone conversation with Mr. Gutermuth, he said he would charge us for 1 hour of driving time and that would leave 7 hours of move time. He felt his guys could get the job done within the 7 hour time limit and there would be no additional charge if they had to make 2 trips. I also told him we would be disconnecting my husband’s washer/dryer from his apartment and reconnected the washer at my house. Mr. Gutermuth said that wouldn’t be a problem and he said if his men went over the 7 hours already purchased, he would only charge us $60/hour thereafter. I explained we were in the process of selling my house and he was eager to make us a deal so he could help us with the move to our new house. The moving team was scheduled to arrive at 9 a.m. on 10/2/11. The lead mover called at approximately 8:30 to let us know they were running about an hour late. The 3 movers arrived and began the job at approximately 10 a.m. We provided the movers with pizza for lunch, at which time they took a 30 minute break. The movers ended up making 2 trips between our houses. On the last trip, the mover disconnected my husband’s washer from his apartment and a pipe broke. While he scrambled to find the shut-off valve, my husband’s downstairs neighbor’s apartment was being flooded. This further prolonged the move and the time it took to complete the job. At this point, I had left to go to church and my husband was overseeing the move. He called me and I came home immediately. On my way home, I called Mr. Gutermuth to tell him what had happened. He began cursing at me and said he would meet me at my house. When I arrived, at approximately 6:20, the moving team was done unloading their truck and they were waiting for me. Mr. Gutermuth had just arrived and he was cursing again, this time to both me and my husband, and he smelled of alcohol. He told me we owed him $157.50 for 1 ½ hours of additional move time. While my husband and I didn’t agree with him, we paid him; he was threatening and we wanted him to leave our home. Mr. Gutermuth agreed to meet us at 10 a.m. the following day at the apartment complex to inspect the damage done by his movers. The next day Mr. Gutermuth did not show up so I put a stop-payment on the check for $157.50 and I called Angie’s List to file a complaint. On 10/4/11 Mr. Gutermuth left a very unprofessional voicemail on my cell phone related to the complaint I filed with Angie’s List. On 10/13/11 Mr. Gutermuth was notified of the stop-payment and he left another threatening voicemails on my cell phone telling me that he had retained 3 of our boxes without our knowledge at the time of the move although we had paid him in full. He also said he would file a lien against us and that when he was ‘done,’ we would owe him even more money. At the recommendation of the Angie’s List complaint resolution specialist, we were advised to file a police report for the items that were retained by Mr. Gutermuth. Unfortunately, the police would not take a report and said it was a civil matter. We advised Mr. Gutermuth of this action and he said he would see us in court. To date, he has not returned the 3 boxes he says he retained. Below is an itemization of the expenses we've incurred as a result the damage caused by the movers: $ 28.00 - Stop payment on check #1155 $ 34.19 - Additional day of rent due to damage caused by moving company $ 97.43 - Water damage expenses in downstairs apartment $ 21.34 - Monthly liability insurance premium (unable to cancel renter's insurance due to damage caused by movers) $339.63 - Missed day of work (10/3/11) for Diane Jeffries due to damage caused by movers $300.00 - 3 boxes retained by Mr. Gutermuth (since we do not know exactly what was in these boxes, we are estimating $100/box) The total loss we have incurred as a result of the moving company's damage to the water pipe is $820.59 and we would like to be refunded by All Professional Moving for this amount and we would like our 3 boxes returned to us. We would also like for Angie’s List to review the voicemails we received and determine if they warrant further follow-up by Angie’s List. Finally as suggested by Angie’s List, we attempted to file a police report , but were told this is a civil matter. According to the police officer, it does not matter that we had paid Mr. Gutermuth in full at the time he retained our 3 boxes. While I find Mr. Gutermuth's voicemails very concerning, particularly since he knows where we live, we want to move forward with this complaint so others are not adversely impacted by this company as we have been. We are hopeful Angie's List can provide us more assistance than the police in this matter.

I am so sorry member that you feel this way. Member you know you recieved excellent service and you was given a total of six men for 12 hrs of work. Member you were only out of pocket a total of 651.00 dollars. That is an incredible deal for the situation you were in. You cancelled the 153.00 dollar check which i was responsible for. You were given three extra men for labor so my company wouldnt be on your move for 20 hrs. Diane come on now. I wish you the best and hope things go well for you and your new husband that we moved all his belongings into your garage. I really hope this can be resolved in a pleasant manner and lets just move forward with our lives. I am sure you would love to be spending more time with your newlywed rather than on this wasting precious time on something so small.

Both moves went smoothly and quickly. Greg and his people were careful with our possessions which we very much appreciated. We would recommend Greg and All Professional Moving to anyone looking for good, reliable, professional help with moving.
Description of Work: Greg helped us move in two stages. We had an apartment of furniture we had to move into our newly purchased home. Greg and his two assistants moved this stuff from Carrollton to Heath for $442. We then had a 27 foot trailer filled to the rafters with the bulk of our possessions. Greg and his two assistants unloaded this trailer for us in a few hours and charged us $240.

Greg and company did an outstanding job moving me out of my old and in to my new home. This move was spread out over a couple weeks due to closing issues. Greg completely worked around our schedule to get the job done. I really appreciated the level of concern taken to keep all furniture free from damage. The same level of concern was taken to ensure none of the walls in either home got scratched or marked. I know exactly who to call or recommend in the future for moving needs.

From the quote to the actual move, communication was upfront and everything went very smoothly. We booked about 4-6 weeks in advance. The move was on a Sunday and was suppose to start at 9:00. They were running late and called me to let me know. And honestly, that was the worst thing that happened. They were late (2 hours) , but they did keep me posted so I wasn't anxious wondering where they were... And once they got there it was the smoothest move I've made, even with the number of stops along the way. They guys that were doing the move were very helpful, worked really hard and got everything into the rooms I wanted. I was really pleased with the service that was provided and would use them again if I move again... Which I hope is not time soon...
Description of Work: I bought an "Angies List" coupon for this move for $250.00. I talked to Greg at All Professional Moving and told him the details of my move (which was a bit complicated because I had three stops across town before getting to the final destination). Greg worked with me and said the coupon was good for 4-hours and if I went over he would charge me no more than another coupon. This was about 3-4 weeks before the move and all over the phone, so I was a little nervous as the date approached that Greg would remember the terms quoted. He was true to his word and I was not charged any more than what he quoted.

I bought a china cabinet at an estate sale and needed to find someone to move it within one day. I called Greg on Saturday morning and he immediately answered the phone although he was in the middle of another move. He was not able to do my move on Saturday but said he would be happy to do it on Sunday. He met me at the estate sale and actually arrived before I did. He and Steven wrapped my china cabinet and loaded it with great care. Once we arrived at my home they quickly unloaded it and put it back together for me. Greg even went out of his way and repaired a few scratches on the cabinet although they were already there when I bought it. It was great working with Greg and I will definitely use him again.

The movers were extremely punctual for driving such a long way. They all were very friendly and wanted to get the job done right so they constantly checked to make sure I was pleased. They loaded up all the furniture and boxes quickly and dropped it all off after a 7-8 hour drive. The owner seems more than willing to work through any special problems that might be associated with your move.
Description of Work: I used the coupons that were provided for members to get approximately $1000 worth of service for $500. The service was enough to move all furniture and boxes 376 miles.
