I have purchased the maintenance plans through Airtron. I had a capacitor blow and I was able to schedule a repair quicker (than the online Schedule) by calling. They got me on the schedule within 36 hours and had a technician (Hector Guevara) come out. He was fast, proficient, and polite. Due to the plan the entire visit cost me $0 for parts and labor. (Replacing a capacitor generally ranges $300-500$.)

I literally threw them out. I told them to get the hell out of my house. The air conditioning unit went out it needed to be replaced, I got different bids I wasn't going to use them but they came in and I told them no your bids too high or whatever and somehow they made a phone call and knocked it down $2000 right there. Well because they were way overpriced anyway so I just ended up using them. But I just had lots of problems. The control board went out on the main furnace and basically he's like that control board is going to be $600 and then he was like but you haven't replaced your furnace so you should just replace the whole system and it's going to be like $1500 and that's when I told him to get the hell out. So I completed the repair my self for about $150.
Description of Work: I used Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning for heating and a/c services. They are the one's that originally installed the system and I had part of it replaced and I just had it with them.

I was complaining because my warranty was almost up and I was still having problems with my air conditioning. First, it was for the master suites and master bedroom which were the hottest rooms in the house. Then my unit froze up and they had to come back and they said they figured it out and it was a Freon leak and they repaired it. Here I am six months later with the same problem. The way the house was built they should have put a third unit just in the master suit but they didn?t do that. It shouldn?t take a year to figure out what is wrong with the air conditioning. I think they were staling as hoping to get off as cheap as possible. I had them out six times. They reacted every time I called but it didn?t get fix until they put a wireless thermostat in the master bedroom so that it will not shut off until the bedroom cools down. It runs longer that?s what it does. The thermostat they usually put on the wall, mine didn?t have any in the thermostat in the master bedroom. The thermostat over by the garage would make that area cool and shut down while I am over here burning up. I wouldn?t recommend them but the workers were ok. I would tell a friend to be aware, they were professional but they couldn?t fix the problem or they didn?t want to fix the problem. They could have honestly send out the right person to diagnose the problem and made a decision much quicker so I wouldn?t have gone a year dealing with the same issue. It?s like they tried the cheapest route first. Everything they did wasn?t working. They would move around the air vent, move the air in the air duct but none of that work.

05/11/14 My existing system stopped cooling, and I called for a service call. A tech showed up around 7 p.m. He said he couldn't check the system because it was frozen up. 05/12/14 I called Airtron at 8:45 a.m., told the agent the result of the call the night before, and was told I would be the first in line for an available tech, and confirmed it would be 5/12 11:00 a.m. I called again to verify, and was told I would be the first available, and it would be that day 4:30 p.m. I called again to verify and was told that the tech had just completed his last job, was on his way to my home, and should call me at any time. 6:45 p.m. I called again, and spoke with Stephanie. She said there were no notes in their system from any contact with me that day, that no one was on their way out, and that since they could not work outside in the rain, I would be have a service call the following day, 5/13/14, but she had no idea when it would be 05/13/14 I called at 1:55 p.m. and spoke with Stephanie again. She said I was on the schedule for that day, and it would be between 12 and 5. 3:43 p.m. I called and spoke with Sonya, gave her the sequence of events, and expressed my severe annoyance at this point. Sonya was empathetic, apologized, and assured me a tech would be out this day. She was correct - a technician diagnosed the issue, demonstrated the issue, and said the system could not be repaired. 05/14/14 Salesman Jeff Mizerak was at our home bright and early. He was upfront, honest, professional, and very easy to deal with. I signed a contract for a new system - to be installed the following day. 05/15/14 The new system was installed on the day he said it would be, in the time frame he said it would take. The installers were prompt, timely, and professional. They were clean, polite and respectful of our home. I have used a variety of companies before - these folks were top of the pack by a significant margin. Jeff was here when the job began, and came back to inspect the work when the job was complete. Best experience I've had! Had I not given Jeff an opportunity, I would have left Airtron with a very bad experience with this company. 1 star service at best. Jeff's excellence and can-do attitude was greatly appreciated, and is 5 star all the way. I shared this same information via survey with Airtron. The specifics of the warranty that came with the system leave me feeling confident that should I have an issue, Airtron will take care of business.

My builder selected this vendor for all the duct and HVAC work for my new house (built last year). Last Wednesday, a neighbor's tree fell on my room and damaged the vent stack for one of the HVAC units (the vent stack and vent motor needed to be replaced and some minor duct damaged in the attic). Called Airtron the day of the storm, left voicemail. No return call. Called next day, spoke with an attitude-ridden woman (Stephanie) who said "no one is available until this Friday between 12-5pm." Asked her if they would be able to fix the issues then or if they would just come by to give an estimate -- "I don't know." Asked her if I could send a pictures I took of the damage to help whomever is going to work on it -- maybe (since Airtron original sold and installed all 3 units!) the pictures would identify what needs to be replaced so they can bring the parts -- she said "umm, I have no way of getting the pics right now -- you'll just have to wait until they come out." Asked if I could speak with a supervisor, "Ummmmmmm, no -- no supervisor here." Clearly, whatever was going on her TINDR or Facebook was WAY more pressing than helping a customer. Friday came, 12-5pm "window" of their showing up for whatever they were going to do. Called them at 3pm -- "Sonya" in customer said "they're on their way" when I asked if I could speak with a supervisor to find out when they'd arrive, she said "No. Dispatch doesn't talk to customers." At that point, I was frustrated. It's close to 5pm on a Friday, they close for the weekend soon, it's now or never to find out what's going on since I'm leaving for a 1 week business trip that following Monday (today) -- I asked her to transfer me to whomever is in charge, she said "well, he will have to call you back." Who is "he"? Robert. Robert did call back within an hour (it's not 4pm on a Friday after they committed to a 12-5pm "confirmed appointment window" and still no sign of them). Robert called and said that "his crew couldn't do anything to help today!" Really? After I paid you guys thousands of dollars, bought new units from you, you made me wait 3 days, changed my entire work scheduled on Friday to be home waiting on you -- NOW, 1 hour before you were supposed to be here, you tell me "your crew can't help." ,Yup. Wrong crew. He said that I needed an "installer crew" and soonest he could get them out was "first thing on Monday" (June 22nd) "you'll be the first stop of the day......between 9am to 12noon". I made SURE Robert understood that I would have to change my travel flight schedule to be here on Monday and would incur hundreds of dollars of airline change and fare differential fees -- is he SURE they will come. "Yes, absolutely -- first thing Monday." Okay, so $852 in ticket change and fare differential to American Airlines. Now Monday arrives. Texted Robert at 11am (2 hours after his crew was to be here) -- he didn't reply to text. Called their office, spoke with Stacy -- "let me call dispatch and i'll call you right back." You guessed it. It's 1:30pm, NO SIGN of their crew, no reply from Robert, no callback from Stacy. These guys are COMPLETELY bozos. Unprofessional, anti-customer, horrific example of customer service and respect their customer and customer's time. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT do business with Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning.

I was not very excited from my experience. They did not repsond very quickly and I had to wait on them to come out to my home. The technician told me a certain part had to be ordered and they would follow up with me in 24 hours. I never heard back from them so I had to follow up. The repair took longer than it should have.

My experience was perfect. They were able to come out on a very hot Saturday. The technician was very expereinced and had wonderful customer service skills. He was able to fix my AC unit and the appointment could not have gone better for me. I ended up buying a service contract with them.

I wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy. I just moved into my house 8 weeks ago and it is a brand new build. They have been here 10 times. Both my air conditioners have broken down. They are horrible. Everything is under warranty. They are consistently late and consistently unprepared. The service people are non-responsive. I have to use them.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Multiple staff members were sent out to repair my air conditioning unit and had problems getting this fixed, they kept telling me to deal with the issues I was complaining about. It was a very frustrating process with staff that did not appear qualified. It was a total of approximately 10 visits to get my unit fixed. After a complaint to customer service I was able to get the supervisor out to correctly replace parts on my unit and get it fixed.

Yesterday, 01/09/11, i just found out they had left a open air duct in my attic and it had been heating up my attic. I called the company and spoke to the customer service and the manager, they all claimed they are not responsible to the problem, since my last tune up was done in 07/09/10, and will not come to fix the problem unless i pay them the service fee and more. The manager claimed that air duct was loose, it was not left it open by their technician. But i explained the duct has not connection to any where! They still insist that they technician would not make that mistake, and want to charge me fee to just to come out to evaluate. This company was not responsive, terrible with customer service, lacking ability to perform. If Airtron can't even fixed the problem they had created, they are the one who designed and installed the system, i do not think they have the ability to help and fix any others problems. I will never recommend this company to any home owner, i personal feel Airtron have no business to being the business!!! Update 1/11/2011: Airtron was the company who designs my air flow system since my house was build. I had not hired any other company until 01/10/2011. I will never go back to them. They are dishonest!!!
Description of Work: This company was contracted through my builder, started Dec. 08 to Oct. 09, although i no longer used the same builder, i still continued their service. At that time I felt it was the right choice to let them finished what they had designed on my air system. During the year after completion of the house, 2009, i had to called them back to fixed numbers of problems with either AC or heating system. Two of my brand new AC units were leaking during the hot summer of 09. They had to come back 5-6 time to just find out what had cost it. Then when the winter of 09 came, my house was always cold. One side of my house is still either 15 degrees cooler or hotter then other side. Update 1/11/2011: Since Airtron refuse to come to fix the problem, claim was not their mistake. I another company recommend from Angie's List, to take care the problem. They came with in 2 hours and spend about 2 hours to check then confirmed Airtron had left a open air duct in my attic.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a service company. We have recently moved to a new property with two units that were installed by Airtron. After we had moved in, we noticed that the downstairs would remain cool and well air-conditioned while the upstairs (and more importantly the bedrooms upstairs) was not. We brought this to the landlord's attention on a Friday and were assured this would be remedied the next day. Airtron was to have sent a technician on Saturday to repair this. No technician. Sunday they were to send a technician again. This time they at least called us at 1pm to let us know we were "next on the list" for repair. I called 3 times that afternoon and evening to see where the technician was, leaving messages each time with my phone number on the recording (which states they will call back within an hour). No returned phone calls, no technician again. All this time the temperature reading on the thermostat was anywhere from 82-86 degrees with no improvement whenever we adjusted the thermostat. Finally on Monday I spoke to someone about coming to repair the A/C. I called 3 times, asking to speak to the customer service manager "Maggie." The first time I was told she was on the phone and left a message. 30 minutes later I called again and was told she was available - then was transferred to her voice mail. The third time (2 hours later), I was told she was available again; they left me on hold for several minutes and then transferred me to her voicemail AGAIN. No calls back from Maggie. Finally they called to say a technician had shown up to our house and no one was home (we had left after several hours of waiting as it was too hot to stay inside and we had to go to a friend's to cool off.) They agreed to return that evening and they did - but instead of it being a repairman, it was a person who worked in their retail division and had no idea how to fix the problem. He told us what was wrong though - the install was wrong and some wires were likely crossed. The only way to cool the upstairs was to turn on both units, with the downstairs one set 4 degrees cooler. He was right - it was quite an expensive night but worth it to finally get a good night's sleep in a room less than 85 degrees. They have told us they will send a repairman today to fix it but this was an unacceptable amount of time, with everything grossly mishandled. The only good thing I have to say about my experience is that the gentleman they sent over initially was pleasant and honest, and gave us the means to work with the problem. Hopefully they will be able to solve it today.

The last person who came didn't have a toolkit. He took the furnace apart and didn't really check anything. The normal guy who usually comes called in sick, which is why this joker came out. He didn't seem to know what he was doing.

I am not sure which office dispatched these repairmen. They showed up more or less on time, the first guy was older but very nice and polite, I explained the problem and he went to work. The 2nd floor system had frozen up so he could not do any work on it that day but he took the time to make sure the other system was runnning OK and verified that the units I had were big enough to cool a house the size of mine, he did not charge me a thing and left after making sure I had a follow up appointment scheduled. Theh 2nd guy was a whole other story, he showed up 45 minutes late and then sat in his truck on the phone for another 45 minutes. When I told him what the other tech had done he dismissed it as irrelevant and started adding a charge to the system without talking to me first! He then announced that there was a leak in the coil and it was going to cost $6000 to replace. When I asked to see the leak or have some type of proof that this was indeed the problem he acted offended like I was questioning his judgement. At this point I said I was going to get a 2nd opinion and just to fully recharge the system and I would pay him for that, his attitude got even worse after that and he insisted that I needed a new system. I paid him for the charge which I thought was a little high and he left. I would not use them again or reccomend them just because of the 2nd guy, I really felt like he was trying to rip me off. I did a little research afterwards and found that the expensive filters I was using were more than likely the culprit as they cause the system to strain on intake air flow, I also pressure washed the radiator's on both units and they have run fine ever since.

They were very nice about it and helpful. They explained in detail what was the matter with it. They said it would cost way too much to fix it and said I would be better off to buy a new one, which I did. I used a coupon with them. I would absolutely hire them again and have them written down in my address book!
