The first dealings I had with them was no issue. I had gone out of town, and I had come back and my A/C wasn't working that well, it wasn't working at all. It was very warm in the house. That Monday, first thing I called the warranty people and I said: "Hey, I need to have so and so company that I dealt with before out. I said I'm not cooling; my house is not cooling, it's very hot in the house.". They came out the next day, which was Tuesday and found out they needed to have parts replaced. Well, they had to order them first and mind you I had done this like the second of August on a Tuesday.Well, they put the order in. I expected them to her anytime be able to call me and say hey we're going to come out okay it was not until the 10th of August that they finally said oh we'll be out to install the part in your A/C on this Wednesday the 10th remind you from the time I started it was the hottest 10 days that we had here in Dallas this year at times in my house it was 110 degrees in my house. I would call and say, hey, you know what's going on? They would say we're waiting for the part and blah blah blah and it was just a bunch of BS and I called the warranty people and they even tried to help, you know so they can only tell them what to do they can't tell him how fast to do it. So, that company, I would give it a very non-existent rating. They keep calling me wanting me to have them come out and do my annual check-ups for my A/C and heating. Well, as it turns out the next I wound up having to have a new air conditioning system put in my house. The other one was like 13 or 14 years old. They knew that I had no A/C, but they weren't concerned about it. I mean the fact that you know a 70-year-old woman is in her house with 110-degree temperature and they're not making a rush for it. I'm sure that I obviously wasn't the only one. I called there an said what's going on, it's was a 110-degree temperature in my house. She said:" Well, call your warranty people and have them get you a hotel room.". I said that would be wonderful if that could be arranged, but I had an 80 pound Lab, that I would have to take with me, I'm not leaving her in the house. She said: Well, she can't get hot.". I said: Well, you know what, maybe since y'all have really nice air conditioning up in your office maybe I'll just come and spend the day there in your lobby and my two dogs, at least I'll be a lot cooler. Oh, no, no you can't-do that.". Like I said I didn't think that I was the only one on their list to have it done. The overall attempt to accommodate me and take care of a dire situation, it wasn't something that they were willing to do as long as they were cool. The funny thing was, after talking with them and waiting for them to get the parts, and blah, blah this, they were giving me a ration of crap. I called my nephew who owns an A/C heating company in Corsicana, Texas. I told them how I needed and how they said it was a special order, he said you can go to any A/C place and get it off the shelf. He goes that's a lot of hooie. I think really what it was was because I was a warranty customer you don't get full price and they're not going to bust their butt on half the money when they can get the money when they can get the full price from a customer. What was positive was when they came out and put the part in and got the A/C working. It took a good almost 24 hours to get my house down to a tolerable level. That's about the only thing I could say. They could have at least recognized the fact of what was going on. They knew I didn't have A/C, they knew it was 110-degrees outside, they knew how hot it was outside. I had to call them every day to find out if the part came in. They were not proactive as far as calling me and letting me know. I was at the bottom of the barrel. I just felt like I was not given the consideration that I should've been given. Customer service was non-existent obviously, by the way, that I was treated. On the service once, they got the part that was supposedly special ordered they came out and installed it. They got it up and running in two or three hours. That was positive too. I guess service was the only good thing because when they did it, they did it. They weren't responsive at all; I had to call them. I've never had a problem with them being here at the time that they told me they would be here. One time they were running late, they did call. That's one of the things that I asked at any time when they were on their way that they call me and let me know, just to be sure that I was here at the house and they arrived on time. When they were here to do the job, they came and got it done and fixed it or did the maintenance, they did it with no problem.

Catherine, I am very sorry you didn't have a good experience with your warranty issue. It is very unfortunate indeed. The Warranty companies insist that they order the parts. We the A/C companies have no say in what parts or where they purchase them from. We do our very best and agree with your family member that most parts are easily picked up from a local suppl y house. In fact we have many of the parts right here in our shop. The issue is we are not the ones sourcing the parts when a warranty company is involved. We can only do what the warranty company says to do. Please consider using our services outside of your warranty. I do believe you will have a VERY different experience. Poor install. I had three other reputable A/C companies inspect the install AIRE Texas performed and all three A/C companies advised the install AIRE Texas performed was bad plus would require additional expense to correct. I do not recommend this company.

As always, company sent reminder e-mail, I called to schedule appointment, Ruth Hutchison called the day before to give me a two hour time window. The technician, Clarence Medley, called about 20-30 minutes before his arrival, arrived promptly and did his work. Clarence has been here previously and as in the past I was impressed with his professionalism and skill and well as his friendliness. I will continue to use this company because of the quality of the work, the quality of the people, promptness, the fact that they do what they say they are going to do when they say they will do it. Price is fair and reasonable.
Description of Work: Provided maintenance for air conditioning unit, cleaned coil, tested unit for proper operation, blew out evaporator drain line.

I called HWA Home Warranty on Saturday 6/14 and was informed that Aire Texas was assigned as the contractor for my AC issue. I received a call from Aire Texas on Monday (6/16) indicating that they would call Tuesday evening (6/17) to give a window for arrival on Wednesday (6/18). I received the call on Tuesday evening and was instructed to turn off my AC units to make sure they would be able to assist with the problem. I was told that the tech would arrive between 11 am and 1 pm. None of the phone conversations were very friendly. On Wednesday the 18th, the morning of the service, I received the following calls: 10:43 am - VM Msg (Daniel) saying they need to see if someone is home so they could head over 10:46 am - VM Msg (Daniel) saying they are trying to get ahold of me before heading over 10:56 am - VM from HWA stating the vendor has been trying to get me for 15 minutes and they need to hear from me I sent a txt at 11:01 am (I was in a meeting) indicating that someone was available. (I told them on the phone the day before that someone would be available) I sent a txt at 11:24 asking them to confirm they are headed to property. (since they needed immediate contact and had no courtesy to reply) 11:29 am - txt from tech (Daniel) saying I need to call the office to re-schedule Called HWA and they checked all providers and said Aire Texas woudl not be able to come out until Friday. Needless to say I refused to business with a firm that was this unprofessional and requested another provider. I can not imagine a service industry where it is acceptable to call a confirmation the day before and then cancel the day of the appt because of no response in 16 minutes of the first call. Its pretty obvious that there was never any intention of providing service. If you do not want home warranty work, please dont sign up for it.

My AC went out on a Saturday, so I called my home warranty company (HWA), and they placed a call to Aire Texas on the emergency line on my behalf. After not hearing back, I called the emergency line and left another message. Mind you, it's Texas, it's June, and it's HOT, and I have a one-year-old. They didn't call back. I called on Sunday; their normal voicemail was full, so I called their emergency line AGAIN. No repsonse. (Why have an emergency line if you're not going to check it?) Then they called me this morning (Monday) to tell me that they'd call me between 3 and 5pm to schedule a time for a technician to come out and do a diagnostic tomorrow. That's just ridiculous. They offered no apologies or explanations as to why they ignored their emergency line until 9:30am Monday morning. I understand this is a busy time, but to completely ignore a customer's need is just unacceptable. I will never use these guys, and I will never recommend them. If I hear of anyone who's thinking of using them, I will to everything in my power to convince them to use someone else.

They called to know the time and they called saying exactly when they'd be here. They showed up and they did it fairly quickly. They were very, very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.

I would not have chosen to use this company - but as part of my home warranty I thought I would take advantage of the bi-annual seasonal tune up. They were prompt to call once the got the order from the warranty company. They were flexible with my schedule as well. So far so go I thought. They arrived on time as well. There were two technicians Clarence, the lead and his "helper" Larry. They even took off their shoes and wore booties to protect my home. They went about the business in the attic checking my furnaces. When they finished, Larry thought he would be "funny" and asked what happened to one of the cars in the garage. My first thought is nothing, but why were you snooping around my cars, then I thought surely he is not that stupid. Clarence diffused the situation by saying that Larry was kidding. I was not amused. Larry took their tools out to the truck and Clarence wrapped up the paper work and apologized for Larry. Then ol Larry came back in my home, Clarence still trying to diffuse my escalating frustration. Clarence asked Larry to go back out and start the truck, Larry quipped - I'm not your b****. Lets just say I asked him to get out of my house. I was appalled. Clarence called his office to report Larry. Clarence was very polite and I truly felt sorry for him having to work his day with Larry. I will be going back to Frymire Services.

Description of Work: The AC unit's motor would not work - made noise but the blade was not rotating. He took the side off, pulled a part off, went to his truck and got another, attached it, collected the $75 for the Home Warranty Service Call and was on his way in less than 30 minutes.

Tech puts on his invoice "drains cleaned and bleached" as appears as if he did this work, when in fact he did not and this work was performed by a maintenance contract through others. His task related to evaporator fan that has failed and a drain emergency sensor / switch which failed. Tech reports that A1Aire who did maintenance, and reported said defects during regular maintenance "could not be verified" . Tech who claims 'working' started evaporator fan by spinning it with running water from a hose; fan will not start with start reliably with capacitor he replaced last week. e claim" fee

HWA sent Aire Texas for a second opinion, since the first company they sent claimed they don't know how to work with zoned systems and left. The Aire Texas technician was on time and friendly, but I don't believe his recommended fixes were the best route. For some odd reason, the person who installed my AC installed an air duct directly to what should be a return vent, which has messed up the entire air flow of the system. Aire Texas understood this problem (unlike the first guy), but his recommendation was to just remove the duct and seal up the vent. As for why the air never shut off in my bedroom, he didn't even make a recommendation on how to fix that issue. Then he quoted me a few hundred dollars, gave me an invoice, and left. He said someone from Aire Texas would call me to schedule the work. I've never heard from the company again. I called another company on my own who came in yesterday, did a much more thorough inspection, gave me a logical solution, made one fix, and cost out the second fix for me. They did not make the same recommendation as Aire Texas. Their fix worked. So all I can say is that my confidence in Aire Texas is low.

covered by home warranty after 75.00 deductible. The home warranty has many exclusions and extra costs and this industry is quite suspect as to worthiness. Has suggested yearly maintenance agreement but the brochure lacks details as to services provided for cost.

The serviceman was on time and friendly. He went straight to work and had the unit that had been non-functioning over the weekend back online within a half an hour. The problem was described to me as a battery-type issue and replacing it corrected the problem. I was so glad not to have to suffer another night trying to sleep in the heat.

My house is covered b y HWA for home warranty. The technician was scheduled for the next day from the date I reported the problem, so that was fine. The hourse scheduled were between 6-8pm, which seems a little late in the day but that worked out. The technician was polite, friendly, wore covers on his shoes to keep from dragging in dirt from outside, and topped off the unit, so I'll just have to see how it goes. The technician provided a copy of a service maintenance plan that really didn't explain what exactly and was not covered under the plan (not his fault - whomever prepared the materials didn't do a good job). The rates when comparing to other service providers that appear to offer similar work is more than 2x the amount, which surprised me quite a lot. I suppose I would rate this company as just ok, and I suppose I'd use them again for basic repair service since they're under my home warranty. But I'd be cautious about hiring them to do any replacement systems because of pricing.

Crew was friendly and professional. After determining that one of our units was at the end of its life, the technician was able to convince HWA that we needed a replacement. Typically HWA tries to put a bandaid on issues or take the least expensive route, but I believe the technician did the right thing for the customer and ensured that we had the unit replaced. We were able to get an installation date the day after the unit had arrived at the warehouse. It did rain the morning of the installation date, pushing us back to 7pm at night (we were initially scheduled for a 3-5pm window), but the guys still came out and worked in the dark to get it done so that we could have cool A/C once again. Was very satisfied with their professionalism, would use them again, and would recommend them to friends and family.

I chose not to use them and my home warranty company confirmed.
Description of Work: Home Warranty of America sent this company out to give me an estimate to have a condensor replaced. They gave an exorbitant bid plus claimed that my unit could not possibly be replaced with an R22 unit. That was not true. The home warranty company and I both recognized the bid to be highly inflated. They sent out another AC company, who gave me options to replace with R22 compatible OR the new 410a. I chose to upgrade to 410 since the overall price to me for uncovered items was 1/5 that of what Aire Texas quoted.

I called my home warranty company at 8:00am to let them know my furnace was not working. Then I received a call from Aire Texas at 9:00am to confirm issue and set appointment, which they scheduled for the same day at 10:30am. The tech Chris showed up on time and was very professional and polite. I would use this company again in the future.

The technician stated that the unit was frozen, and he couldn't do anything at the time. He also said the unit's coils would need to be cleaned with an acid wash which would cost a lot. I told him I had never heard of such a procedure being necessary, and he retorted that I should visit the manufacturer's website as proof. He also said my unit's air filters weren't dirty enough to cause a problem. Ultimately, I decided to go with another company which did a much better job. The company sent a technician who told me the filters were filthy and showed them to me as evidence. Furthermore, he cleaned the coils with the water hose for free. Basically, the only compliment I can give Fahrenheit is that the lady in the office was very nice to me.
