I had several companies come out to provide quotes after the company that I had used over the last 3 years said it was time to replace my entire system. Not only did Air Patrol provide the best quote, but they spent the time to get my old AC running so that my family didn't have to suffer through the heat while I made my decision on who to go with.

Shawn called me in a few minutes and insisted that I did not need this service call and I could do it by myself. He asked for pictures and guided me on the phone. I did eventually find out that it was a blown up fuse. This shows his level of customer service and integrity. I really appreciate this help and would definitely be using his services in the future.

The install went extremely well. The install date was rescheduled once because the particular heating unit I had purchased was not delivered on time. Air Patrol emailed and called before the install appointment to let me know, and also said they would get some help on price due to delay. And they did. The install went off without a hitch on the committed date. The team was very professional, and Shawn came by on two different occasions to check on his team and progress. The overall experience was as good as I've had with any major install. And Air Patrol had the best price! Oh, I failed to mention that Air Patrol replaced our upstairs A/C outside unit and evaporator in late 2016! The experience was equally great!

He came on time, and did what he needed to do. He explained to us that he needed to come back out for the summer. He got in, got out, and cleaned up everything. They did fine, and I think he called and let us know he was on our way. He was on time. I think he called to let us know he was running a little late and he would be there. Him calling to let us know I would rate an A, because some people do call at all, they just show up late. I would probably call him back out in July to check out the A/C.

It went well. They were thorough and communicated well. We have two units so the cost was twice the promotional fee.

Provided Professional and comprehensive service

The service technician showed up early which was nice. He replaced a hot surface igniter which best I can tell is about $30. The work took 30 minutes and we were charged $250. I purchased a service call coupon off of Angie's List and presented it to the service tech. He said I could not use it. I was charged the full service call price and told to ask Angie's List to reimburse me my coupon amount. We will not be using Air Patrol again

We had Air Patrol install two new units in our house and reworked some of the existing duct work. From both a pricing standpoint and the installers that were at our house, they did an unbelievable job for us. We could have not asked for a better experience. We are very happy with our new systems!!

Got it working by fixing a small part

Owner did the work for me himself. It was a simple repair compounded by rain. My problem was a broken thermostat wire which was repaired during the heavy rain. Shawn put in my system and has generally done my repairs himself. This guy has always been honest with me and has even installed a part I bought on the internet for half his normal price and 1/10th what another Angie's List top rated firm wanted.

It went just fine. The safety systems were checked and flue was checked for leaks and these systems passed. I need to report that this system is very quiet and efficient. My electric usage has been lower than the average in this neighborhood for an "efficient house" this summer. Also another problem was discovered by Atlas Plumbing that was hired to extend the gas service to the attic where the new system was installed. When they examined the gas system they found that the gas line was extremely corroded where it came up from the underground line into the craw space. They did an excellent job replacing the gas system from the meter and through the home. This could have been a serious disaster if not repaired.

All went well. The folks that have come by our home have always carried themselves with the up most professionalism. We are set up for their periodic maintenance program. They are very good about calling to remind us to make our appointment.

We made our decision and Shawn had his team of three licensed AC guys come out a few days later . They started at 8:00am and finished around 6:30pm the first day. The next day, they showed up a little around 8:15am and worked until 9:00pm until the work was completed! They were awesome! We got a complete new system with heat and air put in the attic, new 5 ton unit outside with old pad leveled and new pad put on top, decorative rocks around that, all registered on outside walls were capped off and taped up in the wall. 6 large new returns were added to the ceilings, a new thermostat that is programmable on your phone and flooring added to the attic rafters.Wow! They also installed a 6 month filter and will come back out at 6 months and one year to check and clean unit. All trash was cleaned up and removed from the property. Shawn came out both days to oversee the operation and did a follow up call as well the next day. Today is the first day with the new system. No more hot rooms in part of the house and no more knocking on the ceiling from the old dinosaur that used to live in my attic! Air Patrol was awesome. Not only was their quote for a new AC unit lower than two other providers; they were also extremely professional, prompt and respectful of our time. They did a fantastic job of installing the new system (both the equipment in the attic and the outside condenser, plus a new digital thermostat.) Their quote also included installing a new uptake to help balance the air in our house a bit more. They even came out again a few days later to make a quick adjustment, since we were hearing an annoying howling sound around the new uptake. Now it's absolutely perfect.

The service tech that arrived was very friendly and polite. He looked at my unit and saw that it needed 2lbs of refrigerant and the capacitor replaced. The cost came to a whooping $423. I was totally blown away. The cost breakdown was as follows. 2lbs of refrigerant @ $40 per lb = $80 service fee $80 - Angie's list discount = $68 Capacitor = $275 I ended up just asking for the refrigerent which cost my $148 including the service charge and went to my local HVAC supplier for the capacitor which was $27 compared to the $275 they tried to charge me. The mark up on this was crazy I even called the main office and talked to the office guy and he confirmed the rediculus capacitor price of $275.

Air Patrol did a great job. The work was done according to the schedule given. The cost was what was originally quoted. The results were as promised. There were no unpleasant suprises, and there was no mess left behind that I had to clean up. The new system is running very well, and it's operating far more efficiently than my old system. I'm extremely happy with the new system that they put in.

My last review was on 6/17/2011, I cannot believe it has been 5 years! I have since purchased a new home and I have had some home warranty work done. The companies that came out were just fine, but when I was ready to have a larger job done completed, I knew exactly who I wanted to call. The problem was that the master bedroom upstairs stayed consistently 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the home. Since it was only May, I knew the Texas summer would kill us. I had a few thoughts going in when I called Air Patrol, but Shawn came back with an even better solution that was not only in my budget, but allowed me get some additional work done that was necessary. Now, I have a master bedroom that is perfectly cold (actually really cold at times, but I'm not complaining!), I have some really solid duct work done that made additional space in my attic (woohoo!) and I can now easily access my air filter (it was impossible to do so before!). Shawn and his crew are terrific to work with. His people take pride in their work and are just a pleasure to deal with. They go above and beyond every single time.

I have used Air Patrol for at our current house and our old house. Two years ago one of our units went out as they were original units from 1999. I was given a quote to replace the unit that went out and also a quote to replace the unit that was still working. We were told at the time that the 2nd unit might make it a year or might make it two, but works fine for now. Well, it made it two years. I called Shawn and he gave me update on the quote since I figured price might have changed and equipment might have changed. Shawn was very quick with a re-quote. Called back a few days later and worked with me with what worked with my schedule, which was June 8th. They said they would be here between 8-8:30. Arrived just after 8 am and pretty much worked non-stop (except for water breaks given the heat). Shawn even showed up to see how things are going. I was even surprised to find out that they were upgrading the thermostat to the new wifi version which can be controlled by app on my phone. I wasn't expecting that, but was a nice touch. Job took until about 5:15. They laid out pads on their path to the attic and left absolutely no mess to clean up. Overall, another great experience with Shawn and Air Patrol.

I originally called Air Patrol from Angie's list to help me with an issue related to my fireplace. Shawn called me back promptly and instead of coming out and installing all of the things I "thought" I needed he walked me through a couple of tests and within 15 minutes I fixed the fireplace. I asked Shawn how much I owed him and he said nothing... Fast forward several weeks and I needed a quote for my HVAC system for the downstairs level of my home. I work for Lennox and it was natural for me to request Lennox equipment since it is the best equipment on the market. Shawn gave me a quote for the installation of the equipment that I requested as well as the correction of several duct work deficiencies that were left by the original builder of our home. The system was $14,000 including the XC25 Condenser, an 80% efficiency Lennox Furnace as well as humidifier and the Lennox I Comfort wireless thermostat. When the Air Patrol team said they would be at my house between 8:00 and 8:30, they were there. They did not miss a single commitment and the system was installed on time and professional. Fast forward once again about 2 months. My upstairs system failed, keep in mind both systems were original and about 17 years old. I used a less expensive system this time, a Lennox XC16 and the same furnace, thermostat and humidifier. total for this system was about $10,000. Once again the team was professional, on time and never once had me questioning my decision. I received multiple quotes for this system but knew that I would go with Air Patrol again. All of the rebate forms were filled out by Air Patrol and sent in for me. The rebates were received within 4 weeks on each system. Great job Air Patrol team. I have found my residential HVAC service provider for a long time to come.

All went well. Arrived when they said they would and checked out both units in attic and outside. Both units checked out with no problems. I never have to worry with Air Patrol that they will tell me something is wrong when it isn't. I have used them for a number of years at my current house and prior home. Would highly recommend them to others, and they have received the same service.
