Description of Work: Inspection / cleaning of A/C units (2). They told me I needed a filter, but he didn't bring one with him because I didn't give him the size ahead of time (totally understand). However, he wrote down the size I needed. I asked if they had to be special model/make, he said no. I purchased ones at Home Depot and Lowest that were both the dimensions he gave, didn't fit. I called the manufacturer of the A/C unit that installed it. They explained that they're actually a smaller size than the package dictates. In his profession, he should have known that or at least to tell me he wasn't sure. I asked for an estimate to have a humidifier installed on my furnace. Never got it. I emailed the company within a week asking the same question. Still haven't heard back. Found out that for $79 more, I could have gotten the furnaces both checked and cleaned as well... but they told me that after the service call of course and it was too late.

Description of Work: Came to check out why our inside heat pump kept during into an ice block. Dale determined the issue, gave us tips on how to get by until we can afford to replace either the part or the whole unit! The whole process was great and i would both use and recommend them again!

Description of Work: We had another company try to fix our HVAC system and they did not finish the job completely. Air Force One came on short notice and within 20 minutes had the system working again.

Description of Work: I called in to get help trouble shooting or duct installation in the attic. Chester was massively helpful in guiding me down the right path. Thought I was going to have to spend a bunch to have the ducts resealed, he helped me figure out that my doors and attic door need resealing. No charge and great advice on the phone! Hard to come by these days.

Description of Work: I phoned and requested a heating service prior to using furnace. The telephone rep was very helpful and responsive and an appt was made for a few days later. The technician arrived on time, was very professional and thorough doing the furnace check and making a necessary adjustment to amount of gas coming through the unit. Technician wore shoe covers. Since we do not wear shoes in the house, it was nice not to have to ask. I would highly recommend Air Force One for any air-conditioning or heating needs. Service charge is combined with a spring recurring check of air conditioning Unit.

Description of Work: We've been using Air Force One for years, and have always found their level of service, honesty and integrity to be excellent. They provide heating and cooling maintenance twice annually, and we usually get the same technician (Kevin), but all of their techs are very professional and knowledgable. I won't go into a lot of detail here, but this year we had to have one of our outdoor units replaced, so the first major repair or expense in the 6 1/2 years we've been using Air Force One. I was presented with various options to choose from, and ended up getting a 14.5 SEER high efficiency unit. The experience was class A all the way, and we were even able to get 1 year 0% free financing on top of what I thought was an already competitive deal. I would highly recommend Air Force One. Description of Work: Air force one was the most professional and pleasant service provider I have ever done business with. The technician was on time, very knowlegable, and nice! The rates were also very reasonable. I highly recommend them, and I will absolutely call them again if needed.

Description of Work: Very prompt and very courteous! A/C wasn't cooling and service tech found it to be low on freon and one of the valves from last year's inspection was not properly tightened. In addition, the trap unit was cleaned out. I'm satisfied with the repair and A/C blows cold again.

Description of Work: I started using Air force one after a very bad experience with my former company (Airtron) who I had used for years.When they did my service on my two units, I asked for a quote on one of my units since my former air conditioner repair service stated I needed I new one. I was told by Air Force One " I would be happy to give you a quote, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the unit you have now" I immediately knew this was the company for me.I then had my landscaper accidentally cut the thermostat wire. Rather than charge me to replace the whole thing they simply spliced a wire and redid. However, it came lose a few days later. I called after hours on Friday, and they called back within ten minutes. They set me up for Saturday but originally at a time that was inconvenient. I called back and explained and they put me at a convenient time.This is a great company to do business with, they are reasonably priced. They back up their work and correct their mistakes. When I get to the point when I do need a new system, they are the company that I will use.They even gave me a can of jam that the owner's wife made. What a nice personal touch. I hope they stay this way and don't ever sell out to some big company!

Description of Work: We had a new Rheem 16 Seer air conditioning unit and furnace installed on Friday, April 6, 2012. The outside a/c unit and attic furnace unit were installed in one day. The team consisting of three men who arrived on time, were very professional and polite. The sales person with whom I contracted with came to my home in the afternoon and stayed until the job was completed and answered any questiobns I had and gave me several tips as to the workings of our new unit. We had one small problem with my TV reception which was addressed successfully. I selected three vendors from Angie's list and had each give us bids. All three had excellent renviews and because we had had such good service from our 17 year old unit we decided to stay with Rheem. Description of Work: I called recently and scheduled an ac check in my house I was waiting for the service guy to show up on that day , but after 2hrs of waiting and booking 1week in advance , nobody turned up for the appt. When I called af1. Initially they double checked my appt and said 'please hold on ' Then they said ' the engineer does not want to show up because last time I gave him a bad review ' c'mon they didnt even have the courtesy to talk to me about it or say they can't make it ... I did give them a bad review but it was some time back and I understand it hurts Chester. He could have called and Talked but he didn't.. Man up mr Chester.. What's the point of angieslist if everybody gives only +ve reviews...?? If you don't like challenge then do business in w.Texas. Not in D allas! Jay
