Our upstairs A/C unit quit working at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday. We called our (now former) A/C service provider who couldn't get anyone out to fix the problem. We called Air Force One at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. Their receptionist was very professional, and they promised that someone could be at the house by 2:00 p.m. that day. The technician actually made it to the house by 12:30 p.m., and he diagnosed and fixed the problem on the spot. Air Force One has won our business. Thanks!

They were prompt and made the repair in a timely fashion. During the repair they had clipped a wire on my alarm system and they fixed that and helped me reset the system too. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: My downstairs AC unit stopped working. I had another company do a service call and they wanted me to purchase a whole new unit. I called Air Force One and they came out and told me what needed to be done to repair it. Their pricing was less than I had received from a few other companies.

They came out very early and were willing to answer any questions I had. They explained the problem to me and the service was exceptionally good. He explained that the parts were insured, but the service cost was very reasonable. They were very, very nice, and I would highly recommend them.

Great job. I will use them again and have already recommended them to my mom. And I am very careful about who I recommend to my mom.
Description of Work: I had a air conditioning tune up to prepare for the summer. I also purchased the package that includes servicing of the heating unit in the fall or winter. In the process they discovered a blocked drain pipe under the house that the previous a/c people had not thoroughly cleared. My unit is running less, cooling the house more efficiently. The representative was Dale, and he was very professional and did a great job. I would not have know how severe the blockage was if he had not gone the extra mile in trying to fix my problem.

Everyone was great over there. They are people of extremely great integrity. We had an old house and they treated it differently than the monstrosities in the next county, they treated it like a small old house. They called back and wanted to know how I had been treated. I told the man what a credit he was to the company. He was just marvelous and I told the young man I was proud of him. They were here exactly when they said they would be.

We contacted Air Force One to diagnose why our AC wasn't blowing in our house. We could hear the unit running outside, however, no air was blowing through the vents. I contacted them on a Tuesday afternoon and someone was out the following afternoon. Rick seemed to know immediately what the issue was when I explained the situation. He found that the variable speed motor on the module was receiving the signal from the outside unit but was not turning on. He stated that he didn't know if we needed to replace just the module or if the motor was bad as well. He said that the office would give us a call with an estimate. I received a call about an hour later with the price to replace just the module and just the motor so I would know how much it would be if we did, indeed, need to replace both. I found both of the quotes to be reasonable. They sent him back out that evening with the parts and we were very happy to find that it was just the module that needed to be replaced. I was very pleased with the honesty that this company provided in giving me two quotes in case both items needed to be replaced and only repairing the one that was actually malfunctioning. I thought Rick was very professional as well. He also noticed while in the attic that we had two bedrooms that weren't getting proper airflow, which we were aware of for a while as they were noticeably a different temperature than the rest of the house. We never knew what the issue was that was causing this. He took pictures of our duct work and took it back to the office for another opinion and recommendation on how to correct it. We received a quote in the mail only a few days later with their recommendation and cost so we can complete this at a later date. I felt that Rick went above and beyond his original service call to notice another issue that should be eventually dealt with. We were very pleased with the service from both the technician and the company in general. We will definitely use them again for our AC/heating needs.

Air Force One were able to come the day after we had called them. They repaired our upstairs heat pump and gave us the estimate for our downstairs Heat pump. The downstairs pump had been out of service since last year while we saved for enough to get a new one. Air Force One provided the most professional and most reasonably priced service. They removed our old system and installed the new one. They had the item in stock. They even added extra intake vents and repaired ceiling drywall which had been damaged by water when the a/c kept breaking down. They did not charge extra for these extra services. They were always on time and called ten minutes before their arrival. They placed protection on my floors and cleaned up so you wouldn't even know contractors had been in my home.I am extremely impressed by their knowledge and professionalism and highly recommend them to others. I didnt realize air conditioners could be silent, my house is so quiet these day with my new pump. Thanks Air Force One

The amount of effort that went into providing the quote alone sold me on the company. They provided a solution that was reasnoable and economical. Everyone on the job was an experienced professional.

The serviceman arrived exactly when he said he would after giving me a courtesy call to let me know he was on the way. He even wore a covering on his shoes to protect my flooring when he arrived. He was very professional and knowledgable about his business. He noticed that a flue on the hot water heater located next to the furnace was askew and straightened it and retaped it at no charge. He reminded me to check my fire alarms if I had not done so recently. (I had not and sure enough one of them needed a new battery). He was courteous and I was extremely pleased with the company and will definitely call this company with any heating or air conditioning needs in the future. My unit checked out, so I did not need any repair work, but I would have felt confident in engaging Air Force One to do the work had any been required.
Description of Work: This was a complete check up of my heating system and the price includes a complete check up of my air conditioning system in the spring. He replaced my filter as part of the check up.

I used the reminder post card and called the office to schedule the fall check-up. The person who helped me was pleasant and it was accomplished very quickly. The morning of the appointment the office called to tell me the technician was on his way. The technician, who has serviced my home systems before, arrived as expected. He is a nice young man, dressed neatly and well-spoken. He puts on booties before entering the house. As soon as he entered the house he asked me if there were any special problems. As he was familiar with the house, he confirmed the locations of the attic entrances then went to work. I work from home and was able to continue working (conference calls) with no interruptions until he was ready to leave. He told me the condition of the systems (good) and that he had no recommendations for repairs or upgrades. My systems are over 10 years old and have been serviced by Air Force One for the past 6 or 7 years. I paid for the extra filter that I had requested - they are hard to find locally. He gave me a jar of mayhaw jelly - one of the nicer perks of working with Air Force One! A great experience from beginning to end - and peace of mind that my systems are ready for winter.
Description of Work: I pay an annual service fee for spring and fall system checks on a home with 2 heating/cooling systems (2 zones). It is more economical than paying for them separately and the company reminds me when it's time to schedule. During this fall's checkup no problems were found, but I did pay for an extra high efficiency filter to use before their next visit.

I subscriber to an annual maintenance agreement with Air Force One, under which they inspect my systems twice yearly. For a 3-system home, this costs $310.00/year and includes two free inspections (also cleaning - but repairs are extra) as well as a service discount. I am very pleased with Air Force One. Their technicians are knowledgeable and I have generally found that they recommend only the service that is needed and no more. In this particular case, all we needed to prepare for the winter was replacement of one under-performing capacitor. When we have had systems breakdown, the repair recommendation has always been correct. They are prompt, courteous, and professional in appearance. Prices seem to be in line with other companies we have tried in the past, for generally better and more consistent service. I recommend Air Force One.

As I said, it was frustrating knowing that the house was uncomfortable for my renters for two weeks in such a hot summer. Now they are about as cool as we are by early evening in 106 degree outside heat and our house benefits from three zones. And the company never pressed for payment when I said I was waiting to see that they were successful.
Description of Work: Work was done on our rental home in this intensely hot summer. Original repair man scheduled new condensing unit when ho diagnosed failure to cool was from "weak compressor". This didn't adequately cool the house and before paying for the condensor I insisted someone look further at what had changed. We've owned the home for 28 years and my Mom lived in it for 7 of them so I'm familiar with it and knew it had cooled better. Chester at Air Force One had one of his a/c engineers go over the house top to bottom and suggested more return air and all new ductwork, ugraded one size to provide more flow. There was some lag time in scheduling different crews, but the final step, replacing the ductwork, seemed to have the greatest impact. It was the early 1980s gray plastic ducting that disintigrates and it had also been partially crushed, perhaps by the exterminator who sometimes checks the attic. The time the whole job took, from the original condensor replacement to the ductwork completion was frustrating because I like to take good care of my renters and knew they were uncomfortable. We're now waiting to complete Chester's final suggestion, an extra foot of blown in plastic insulation, which should bring it even cooler. I know it's hard to get immediate gratification in a summer when everyone's calling in hot homes but the final result reflects the qualtiy of work I've gotten from the company for the past three years or so.

My outside air conditioner unit has been making a lot of noise, and living in Dallas with what is now 56 days of 100+ degrees, my unit has been working very hard. My unit is 16 years old, installed in 1995 by another heating and air company. 8 years ago we had the unit in the attic replaced with a new one and moved to another location in the attic by Air Force One. Both units are Trane. Because I replaced the attic unit, Airforce one extended the warranty on the outside unit to match the new attic unit even though they did not install it. This is unheard of, but they did. Last year I had to replace the fan motor on the outside unit. The noise I was hearing this time was the fan motor having difficulty in all this heat. I must mention, I have the annual maintenance program they provide for $100+. I called them late last night and left a message about the noise. They called first thing this morning, asked if the unit was cooling, which it was, and then told me someone would be by between 12 and 3 this afternoon. They called back and asked if it was ok for the tech to come by now (10:30). The one thing I really like about AF1AC is that they seem to send the same tech (Kevin) out each time they come if he is available, this is like walking into your local bank and them knowing you. It makes for a better experience. Kevin looked over the situation, determined the motor was not working properly and replaced it under warranty. No charge. He also checked the coolant, the upstairs unit temp, and after he was satisfied that I was happy with the service, he informed me there was no charge, had me sign his work order and left. I have had other techs when Kevin was not available and they all seem to be very proffessional and very courteous. I have been with Air Force One since 2002, and I have had nothing but good to say about them. Are they a little more expensive? Maybe, I don't think so much, but you get what you pay for and a little more. They are very concerned about their work, this is appearent when they come out to your home. You can't go wrong using them for your heating and air repairs and installations. They also called after the job is done to see if the work was performed to your satisfaction.

I rate Air Force One as the best A/C service company I've done business with. The technician, Ricky, performed his service work fast and professionally - and gave me a great education about A/C systems. He answered all the questions I had and saved me money by explaining how to take care of some PM tasks I could handle myself. All in all I feel fortunate to have found them and thoroughly appreciate Ricky's attitude and help.

Thursday morning I started feeling hot in my house. I had the a/c at 76 overnight to sleep and had pushed it to 78 when I got up. I went to the thermostat and the temp in my house was 80. I got a step stool & put in my hand in one of the vents and found it was just warm air coming out. The temp was going to be 108 that day so I packed an overnight bag and my computer and left to stay with some frees nearby. I called my handyman but he was never able to come that day as he was on a commercial a/c job replacing something. So that night I emailed the company that put the system in - Air Force 1. I was VERY happy with their price, their professionalism, and the quality of their work when they replaced my entire system several years ago, but knew if I hired them to repair it that it would cost more than my handyman charges. I emailed Air Force One that it wasn't an emergency as I could stay with a neighbor Thursday night, but I wanted to get it fixed on Friday. They scheduled me for between 5 and 7 Friday and agreed to have the tech call me when he was near my house so I wouldn't have to sit in my hot house waiting for him. Then I called back and asked for Chester, who was the guy who came out out several years ago to look at the house and put together a bid for me. I explained to Chester that flipping the power on and off at the fuse box had some effect - the fan on the outside unit did start turning, but I still didn't have cool air. I wanted him to be able to tell tell the tech what to check first as I felt bad about a tech coming out in the 110 degree heat and wanted him to be able to get the problem diagnosed quickly. The tech called me, I met him at my house, and he replaced the capacitor. He said lots of them are going out in this heat wave we are having. He made sure to come in the house and put a tester in one of the vents to make sure the temp was as cool as it should be - in other words, to make sure that there wasn't any OTHER issues. He also looked at my filter, and told me it needed to be replaced, and replaced it for me with one I had in a closet. The repair guy was professional, thorough, and had a friendly demeanor, despite having worked all day in the awful heat. I got excellent service. The only thing I didn't like was that the trip fee was $80. It MIGHT be that this is the standard amount any company would charge, or I might be far from their main office, but it seems high to me. The capacitor was free as it was still under warranty so I only had to pay labor for it to be installed. I didn't KNOW my capacitor was still under warranty - he could have charged me for the new one and I would have paid it - so I was VERY impressed with his HONESTY.
Description of Work: Replaced the capacitor for my a/c unit (i kept the the box for the new one that was installed and the box says it is 400VAC 40+5MFD Round, PRCFD405 Packard Professional Distribution Motor Run Capacitor), checked the level of Puron to make sure there wasn't a leak, and checked the return air filter to see if it needed to be replaced (it VERY much did need to be replaced - I was embarrassed that I hadn't replaced it myself as I know the system runs better when the filter isn't clogged up.) He also gave me some advice on buying new filters - the ones that are advertised as trapping pollen and reducing allergens will trap SOME of those allergens, but they are so dense that your system has to work harder to pull air through it so it may not be worth it to buy the more expensive ones for allergies. I'm going to go to Home Depot and get a cheaper, regular one as the one I had on hand, that he put in, is the one that is denser.

They came at the scheduled time. The technician was polite and professional. He had the part on his truck and took about an hour. He also made sure that the rest of my system was working properly before he left. The office also called me the next day to make sure everything was still working fine. I have been a homeowner in Texas for about 25 years. I have to say that this has been the BEST experience I have ever had with an air conditioning service company!!! i will definitely use them again and refer others to them.
Description of Work: My fan blower on my air conditioner went out on the hottest day of the year. I called another company that I had been doing business with for many years. However, this company basically did nothing to try to get the part in question. I called Air Force One, talked to Chester to explain my situation. He was extremely helpful. He found the part, gave me a firm price, and said that they could come first thing that next morning to correct.

First, they came out and told us what the other company had done that was not up to code. Then, when the other company refused to do the repair at no cost (since it wasn't done correctly in the first place we didn't feel obligated to pay) we declined their offer and went with Air Force One because they were honest and showed integrity regarding adhering to code guides.
