AFFORDABLE PAINTING & REMODELING

Job took 5 full days with 1 worker leaving in the middle of job. The work was often sloppy (drips in trim, paint on the ceiling fans, paint on the faucets) & 13 gallons of paint were used for 2 very small bedrooms. They did a good job of taping floors to ensure no drips on hall floors, but then did drip on bathroom floors. When job was completed, I owed them about $60 for some hardware that they purchased in addition to the $425. After he painted 2 doors in one room with the trim color, I switched the trim color. (Replacement paint not included in the above stated 13 gallons used). The painter wanted extra $ for my mistake & because he spent 5 days, & did this & that for free. All "free" items had been in his original estimate (replacing hardware), but wasn't in writing & there was no invoice either. He just asked for money & got angry when I didn't give him a lot more than the estimate- then after he was paid stated he wanted $675 for the job. I gave him $550.

Originally their bid was $125 higher than my lowest bidder, but he was going to be able to take care of some additional problems with wallpaper. The company did an excellent job. They were good about problem-solving for each job. He worked 7 days a week on the job until it was complete.

I DEALT WITH THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY, WHO WAS GENERALLY PROFESSIONAL. THE ONLY ISSUE THAT I HAD WITH HIM WAS THAT, ALTHOUGH HE SUGGESTED THAT HE BEGIN WORKING ON A SUNDAY, HE SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE AT THE APPOINTED TIME AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT HE FELT THAT HE NEEDED TO GO TO CHURCH FIRST ACCORDING TO HIS PASTOR. THEREFORE, HE CAME BACK APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS LATER AND PROCEEDED TO PAINT. AFTER HE SHOWED UP, HE AND A HELPER DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB FOR A REASONABLE PRICE.

VERY NEAT AND TIDEY WORK PERFORMED. STAFF CONSIDERATE OF BELONGINGS AND MAKING SURE NOTHING WAS EXPOSED DURING THE PROCESS.
