Chad quickly responded to my request for esitmate. Met me at my home and surveyed all the furniture needing repair and gave me an esitmate via e-mail within 48 hours. Never made me feel rushed or pressured to start the work and even recommended waiting on a few pieces that needed more acclimation time before being repaired. On the intial repair day Chad and his coworker arrived on time and were prompt, professional and accomodating. The work was done quickly and in time promised. They even helped with extra issues that arose during the repair process. They then took my mirror to be replaced and new pieces cut off site and promptly returned it to me within 2 weeks. At that time a project that they thought would need to be done in-house, was repaired on site, saving me much time and another afternoon away from work. I think they are a great company and will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Had several antique pieces repaired that were damaged in transit or due to climate change after moving from Germany.

i had a dining room arm chair that required repair after a puppy knocked it over. The arm of the chair was broken off. Aaron's was close, and I took the chair to them. The estimate was $100 and they said it would take a week. I get a call in three days saying that the chair was ready. When I went to pick up the chair, I was very impressed. I cannot even find where the chair was even damaged. The repair is flawless. I will happily recommend Aaron's to anyone.

We felt pretty good about the overall process. Called and got estimates for the work from this and several other companies. Aaron's had a competitive quote. It was not the cheapest quote, but was within a competitive range of the best quote and much cheaper than the most expensive quote I received. The reason we chose to go with Aaron's is the fact that in providing us with a quote they sent us a very thorough list of specific things that were going to be included in the work. Every other company gave us a cost estimate without detailing what we were paying for. I felt the details provided were very good and so we went with Aaron's. They picked up and dropped off the furniture (this is an extra service which we opted into) so there was literally no effort on our part. The only issue we had, which wasn't really an issue, is the stain was a little darker than we anticipated. However, it came out looking very nice and we have the desk displayed in the living room right now, and it will be moved into our kids' room when they are a little older.
Description of Work: We had a child's roll top desk restored and refinished. We also had a chair which was not matched to the desk, but had always been used with it, restored and refinished to match. Restoration included replacing some panels that had warped and cracked over the years, stripping all the finish, repairing damage, scratches, and chips in the wood and refinishing a different stain color. We also took advantage of their pick up and delivery service which was an extra $50 or $75 (can't remember exactly) but we felt it was worth it as we live quite a ways away from their location.

on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, I contacted Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration. I was then instructed to go to the company's website and state my request and send pictures of my damages. On October 31, 2012 , I stated my request and sent the pictures of my damages which include wood and leather damages. Below was the message I sent to Aaron's Touch up and Restoration: "I have some damaged furniture that need repaired. I would like to get an estimate from your company. The message on your business phone states to send pictures. I would like to know if it's possible you can come take a visual look at the damages". On Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Aaron's Touch up & Restoration wrote back to tell me that "they do not repair fabric or leather and referred me to someone else that repairs leather. (Thomas at Fibrenew. 682-667-5899). On Monday, December 10, 2012, I wrote back to Aaron's Touch up and Restoration asking if they can give me an estimate for the wood damages? As of this writing, I have not received an answer from Aaron's Touch up & Restoration.
Description of Work: This writting is a follow-up from the previous writting that I have posted on January concerning Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration. Mr. Chad Chandler, the owner of Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration, personnally contacted me in January 2013 and explained that he was not aware of my email back in Decembe 2012 requesting for an estimate. He exlpained that this was definitely an oversight as this has never happened before. He immediately made an appointment with me and personnally inspected all of my damages. Mr Chandler is a very respectale, polite and a sincere individual. After meeting him, I believed and trusted him. As of March 2013, He has fixed and restored all of my damaged wood furnitures. Further more, he accepted and worked on extra furniture that was not in my original list. He did not collect any money from me until all work was completed. He personnally call me and ask me If I was satisfied with the work before accepting payment. His workers are as professional as he is. Please visit his website for the before and after pictures.

Response from Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration
My name is Chad Chandler, owner of Aaron’s Touch Up. I am very sorry to hear of this situation. I would like to respond by stating that we were originally contacted via email on October 30, 2012 requesting leather repair services, to which we replied on October 31, 2012 stating that we do not provide those services and offering a phone number of a leather repair vendor. Apparently a follow-up email was sent to us 41 days later, on December 10, 2012, that we unfortunately did not receive. I would like to respectfully request that the “F” rating be removed as we never provided any services or even an estimate to this customer, and certainly an “F” rating is harsh for the lack of response to one email that was never received. Perhaps a follow-up email or phone call from the potential customer ensuring that we received the email would’ve cleared this up immediately. Furthermore, I am personally contacting this customer today. We are happy to help in any way we can, even if it is by referring the customer to a different vendor. We pride ourselves on our exceptional level of service and do our best to go above and beyond to earn our customers’ business. We warranty all of our work and do not accept payment until the customer is completely satisfied. Please contact me directly should you have any questions or need further clarification.

I sent pictures of the damage to two of the names on Angie's List. Aaron's had excellent reviews and was $175 less expensive than the other bid. I contacted Chad via email and he responded in a very timely fashion with the quote. They picked the sideboard up within two days and promised it back within two weeks. They actually returned it one day early and you absolutely cannot tell the refinished top from the rest of the furniture. They did a beautiful job!

The roll-up door to the "appliance garage" in my kitchen fell apart, and my regular handyman had no clue how to repair it. I found Aaron's Touchup on Angie's List. They returned my call promptly, knew exactly how to repair it, came out within a few days to dismantle it and take it to their shop, and came back within a week to reinstall it. The repair was perfect, and the price reasonable. I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: The corner cabinet on my kitchen counter has a roll-up door, like a roll-top desk, and hides small appliances like coffeemaker, blender, etc. All the slats on it fell off, and I realized they had all been glued to a canvas-like backing. As it was built-in, the whole door assembly had to be dismantled, reconstructed and then reinstalled.

I had called 4 or 5 different companies advertising furniture restoration. The problems I ran into with other companies was#1. Pickup/Delivery#2. Price - most were charging what I felt were exhorbitant prices. However, when I called AaronsTouchUp I was very pleased with the overall result. I sent him a photo of the desk. He provided a reasonable estimate and there was no extra charge for P/U and Delivery. Total time between P/U and delivery was 3 weeks. He explained it would take longer because of a previously scheduled vacation. No problem for me whatsoever:) I defintely recommend this company.
Description of Work: I'm very impressed with the quality of service they provided in restoring an old desk that belonged to my mother and had been in my family for decades. I definitely recommend this company for anyone looking to restore an heirloom or treasured item needing repair. Their prices are very competitive and again, the quality they promise is exceptional.

Since this table had been in my wife's family for decades, I decided to have it repaired. I worked with Chad on this project, and he was very professional throughout the process. I did not have a vehicle to transport the table, but fortunately they offered pick-up and delivery service. They needed the table for several weeks, but when they returned it, wow! It looked phenomenal. If you saw the before and after pictures you wouldn't believe the difference. I would HIGHLY recommend Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration.
Description of Work: We had an old duncan fife table that had been sitting in our shed for many years. One of the legs was broke, there were water spots in some places, and in general it was in very poor condition.

This company are extremely professional and knowledgable within their industry. The are good listeners and strive to produce what you want. Their service is extraordinary due to their professionalism and ability to complete the job correctly. We tried two other staining companies before Aaron Touch Up & Refinishing and they were a complete disaster. Both other companies were failures were due to greed and one trying to quickly get the job done for the payments due - the other company took months to do staining for our wood cabinetry. Finally we hired Aaron's Touch Up & Refinishing and were pleased with their services and striving to meet our needs. I notice other company listings on Angies List that are definitely companies to stay away from. I rather not mentioned their names at this time, however, I have found the best way to choose a contractor is by seeing their work (work exactly what you are asking to do) and by recommendations. I have often searched and hired the Internet for contractors, when some of the best contractors I find are proven contractors builders use and some you can grab a phone # off a truck driving by. Don't be fooled by a listing company or high web ranking. Some great companies you cannot find on the web's first 3 pages. Nevertheless, I have found some companies on Angies List that we have been happy with and the same amount we have not been happy with. I recommend Aaron's. The web, listing companies is your choice. With staining/painting, customer beware. They can produce complete messes and you will be holding the bag to get it redone. Prior stainer sub the work out, refused to review the subs work and complete the job, then charged our credit card without our approval. Aaron's is not like this. They do the work themselves, say what they will do and it gets done, and then after you approve the work they ask for the final payment. We highly recommend Aarons!
Description of Work: Aaron's Touch Up Refinishing did wood cabinetry staining, custom mirror frame staining and even helped us redo another Angies listing company's work over. The job was done promptly, correctly and professionally.

Some companies I called wanted me to send them a photo, which I never got around to doing. Someone referred me to Aaron's and they came out that very day and diagnosed the problem. They had to get some parts for the dresser drawer and came back 2 days later to install. Both times they were exactly on time. How refreshing! We thought the table was due to someone spilling wine on it. Chad said it was from heat. We had an "aha" moment and realized it was from the sterno of a caterer we used. He gave us a written estimate that I could send to the caterer (Blue Mesa) and I hope to hear from them that they will stand by their damage. If so, we will get Aaron's to fix it! Recommend Aaron's. Chad was very professional and knowledgeable. UPDATE! After I wrote the glowing report for Aaron's, Blue Mesa sent someone out who completely fixed my table by just rubbing some stuff on it, and he said he'd probably charge the company $75. This, after Aaron's said it would cost $750 to take the table away and refinish it! The guy's name was Bruce from A-maysing- Refinishing (or something like that: he goes just by word of mouth). He was magical! Buffed and used the right chemicals, and the table was back in under an hour.... Hmmmm.....so buyer beware!
Description of Work: 1. Looked at dining room table and determined that the white spot was caused by heat. Gave estimate. 2. Looked at drawer in dresser that would not stay closed. Fixed.

We were so impressed with Jesse's commitment to doing the job right and making us happy. He is talented, trustworthy, reasonably priced and incredibly hardworking - not easy to find in craftsmen these days. He was also prompt, and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was complete.
Description of Work: We purchased a sofa, loveseat and ottoman from the Leather Center (remember them??!!) many years ago. Over time, it had become very worn looking, with discoloration and wrinkling. When we looked into buying a new set, we discovered today's furniture was higher priced and lower quality than what we currently had. We called Aaron's Touch Up and Restoration to see if they could revive what we had - not an easy task. Jesse came from the company, and worked on the three pieces tirelessly, first using a paint-type color. After using the furniture for awhile, we all agreed it was not as pliable and attractive as dye. He returned, re-did the entire set using a different color method - investing many more hours - to get it right. The result was fantastic. Jesse even restuffed the cushions to remove all wrinkling. My original set looks brand new, and for much less than I would have had to pay for lower quality set at a furniture store.

They picked the bed up the next day. Actually, Chad was going to pick the bed up in the morning since he lives in my area, but he forgot about the pick up until he got to work. He called immediately to apologize about the oversight, and said he would pick the bed up that evening on the way home. It has been a really LONG time since anyone has admitted making a mistake in a situation like this, and I really appreciated his honesty. I think Aaron's won me over right there. When he came to pick the bed up, it had to be disassembled. No griping or attitude, he just got under the bed and took care of business. The bed was ready to come back in ust two days - and looked brand new. He and the other guy who delivered it explained what they ahd done, put the bed back together and were gone in about twenty minutes. Super nice guys, fair pricing and excellent customer service. You can't beat that with a stick!
Description of Work: One of the posts on our four-poster bed bed was broken off. I had no idea if this could be fixed, or what it would look like. I called Chad Chandler at Aaron's, described the problem and he gave me a detailed explanation of what they could do, and that he felt sure they could fix it.
