My maintenance contract had expired and I had no notice of renewal. When a vent in my ceiling allowed water from the a/c in my attic to drip onto my living room side table, I placed a bucket to catch the water. After looking in my attic and discovering the overflow pipe was plugged, I called A#1 who had performed service on my outside A/C unit last year and made corrections within the warranty, despite A#1 not being the firm installing the A/C. A#1 responded within a few hours of my call and allowed me to set up a new service contract which resulted in considerably reduced pricing and priority status on my repair. The individual responding wore floor protectors on his shoes and despite entering and exiting my home numerous times, removed them upon exiting and put them on when he entered. The repair took approximately two hours as the original installation had been faulty. Pipe was modified and replaced and the obstruction, silicone, removed. A#1 said the original installer had used silicone instead of pipe glue to attach the pipes and it coagulated, resulting in a blockage of the overflow pipe. Ergo, the dripping into my living room. After the problem was remedied, the repairman took a look at my A/C and determined it was 2 lbs light on refrigerant. The maintenance agreement allows for 2 lbs per year so there was no cost for the refrigerant.
Description of Work: Corrected a leak in an air conditioner drain pipe.
