I would rate them pretty high. They have been very good about coming back to make adjustments to the fence. I have recommended them to others. They are reliable and do a good job with reasonable pricing.

Four men worked eight hours performing the above duties - cleaned up after theirselves and checked their work before leaving. The crew was very hard working and respectful of homeowner.

We thought that 78 Fence & Stain were very detail oriented and thorough. They were upfront, making sure that we understood the ins and outs of the job they had. Not only the sales guy, but also the foreman who would actually be out on the job came out and walked the property with us to make sure that we understood what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. They addressed our concerns and preferences. And they kept us posted on things as the job went along. 78 Fence & Stain took their time and did a good quality job.

Company was prompt with the estimate and met their constuction timetable. Quality of the work was below par and did not include details such as pressure treated lower rail that were standard with other fence companies doing work at the same rates.. Owner's communication style was rude and condescending. Price paid was high for the quality of work performed. One gate has been a problem from the start. They did come out once and attempt to fix it . I have already had it repaired again by a neighbor. I used another company to do additional fence work and would not use 78 Fence again.

Frustrating. Never spoke to anyone at this company. My phone call and email went unanswered.

The project went very smoothly, and the work was done very professionally.

They came to pressure wash my fence yesterday and will be back on Monday to restain it after it dries.The owner and vice president of the company actually came out to clean it. They are very conscientious and they make sure that they do not tear up things in my yard or damage anything. I don’t have to worry about them when they are on my property. I feel comfortable enough to leave them alone while I do errands

The guys were great (Mike, Robert, Miguel & Crew). They started the work ahead of schedule, completed on time, and were a pleasure to deal with. They pulled permits for both the gate and electrical and followed up with the city to make sure everything passed inspection. When adjustments needed to be made after the install they were easy to reach and respsonded quickly. They did a great job!

Wow--78 Fence was awesome. Everybody was professional-from the original estimate to the finished product. Would I use them again-absolutely. 78 Fence placed fencing and two gates in the front of the house plus constructed a long sliding gate for my driveway with fencing. I have a very long fence line and will have 78 Fence finish my North and West sides next year.The fence and gates look great 8 ft tall 8ft 3-5-2015 Update I'm a little late with this update. The remainder of the North fence and the complete West fence were completed last year for a total over 300 feet. Let just "ditto" my earlier comments-it looks awesome! I have had many compliments. I have just one more section on the East to complete. Great people.

Would not recommend him or his company to anyone. Will steer everyone else I know clear of this company.

He was good. He was on time and gave me all the information I needed. I went with somebody else because the price was little better. I rate them high overall. I will consider getting a quote from them in the future.

The job went as expected. The work crew as efficient and the results were satisfactory. Ownership follow up was professional and all issues were resolved. Would hire the company again in the future. Their bid was the highest but we feel we got a quality job.

It was a reasonable price, about in the middle of the quotes. They did a real good job and cleaned up afterwards. We are really happy with it.

They were very responsive, knowledgeable and more expensive than the others. They seemed to be a high quality company but they were expensive. In the future I would consider them for a quote.

They were good. They completed the job on time. They did exactly what they were estimated to do so it was within budget. I liked the work that was done. I would absolutely work with them again.

I contacted 78 Fence through Angie's List, and had a response in less that 24 hours. We immediately set up a time to have them come out and and do an estimate. Mike Hook came out to do the estimate. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He was also receptive to questions, explained himself clearly and provided some valuable insight into fence construction, installation and materials. Overall, I was very impressed with 78 Fence and their capabilities.

Mike was very nice and professional. The estimate was too high so we did not hire them.

I spoke to two fence companies. I was able to get an appointment with both of them within 24-48 hours of calling. Mike came out and looked at our existing fence and gave me an estimate. His price was the lower of the two, but there was not a huge difference. What made this job a little different is that it had to take place in two steps. First, the demolition, after which a number of bushes and trees were accessible for trimming. After the trimming, the fence could be built. 78Fence handled the schedule with aplomb. For exceptional reasons, it was necessary to do the construction work on a weekend. Again, it was not a problem. Mike and Robert worked with me to make it happen in the proper way. And the fence is beautiful. The crew was efficient, pleasant and professional. I have recommended the company to my neighbors, and may have them do some more work for me. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience, and I'm very happy with the result.

I called at 9 am and received a call back at noon. I explained the situation and was told they do not provide estimates. The gentleman said they treat it as a service call with a minimum of one hour at $161.29 and $99 each hour after that. However, materials are not included. I have no way of knowing what materials and the quantity needed therefore I wanted an estimate first. I do not have an unlimited budget. Because they weren't willing to come out and provide an estimate, I will not use this company. It doesn't make sense to me that they won't come out for an esimate. I've contacted 4 other fencing contractors and ALL of them are willing to come out to provide a free estimate on the work I described. In this day and age with the number of companies to choose from, it does not serve them well not to provide free estimates in my opinion.

As I stated we received 4 quotes from the top 4 rated fence companies in our area. 78 Fence was the company we chose. From the beginning when Mike came out to measure and prepare an estimate I was impressed. Very courteous and professional. He answered all of my questions and more detail about fencing that never occurred to me but was so informative considering I know little about fencing. Mike was the only one out of the 4 companies who was a stand out in my mind as far as a true professional. When the choice was made to use 78 Fence, I had phone and email contact with the President, Mr. O'Neal. It is important for me to mention, my situation was somewhat unusual. My husband is currently serving in Afghanistan and is coming home this Friday, July 8th. I made mention to Mike after requesting their services if there was anyway the job could be completed as a surprise to my husband when he arrives home. The jobs are 3-4 weeks out and I am so proud to say that 78 Fence made it happen!! They finished the job in 2 days (30 Jun-1Jul). It still amazes me, considering this was such a labor-intensive job that 2 guys on day one and 4 guys on day 2 could complete this project! The men were courteous and cleaned up everything that was left behind. The fence is just awesome, I couldn't be happier. In fact, my neighbors have all asked who we used for our fence. Please don't hesitate considering this company. I recommend them highly.

Ben showed up on time and inspected our driveway gate. We just moved into our house and wanted to make sure that the gate was in good working order and just needed maintenance. I would definitely use 78 Fence agai

Responsive & helpful on the phone but seemed to cost more than others.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of this company and its workers. The crew made a conscious effort to avoid trampling on some of my flower beds as best as they could. There was slight damage but it was understandably unavoidable. I appreciated that the crew was very careful to leave the yard as clean as they found it. In addition, when Mike Hook came by for the initial visit I asked If they could dig an extra hole in one of my flower beds for a future project for a post that I planned to purchase at a later time. Mike suggested that I purchase my post and have it ready and that the crew would go ahead and set it in the hole since they would be pouring concrete that day anyway. (Thank you Mike, that was a time saver for me!) I hope to use this company again for future wood fence replacement.
