The estimate was fine.

Needed fence work done on very tight time line due to my having been ''coded'', then out of town, with deadline looming or I would be fined. Fence Doctor guys showed up on time to estimate work, performed work according (actually under estimate), cleaned up after, and explained what they did. Not cheap (gate work was most expensive part), but excellent quality and considering the circumstances I would say close to perfect. And they DID come in under estimate. Bonus: they filled in post holes with dirt that was suitable for subsequent landscape work. Sa-weet! :-)

My operator was lying on the ground before the work was done and now that it is complete it has been operating trouble free. It used to scrape across the driveway and now moves easily just a few inches above. He looked over the system to make sure it was in working order, which it was. He came when he said he would and I felt comfortable letting him finish the work while I was away.

The workmanship is excellent, the price was very fair and they are a very professional group (of the highest level). Work was done on time and they even gave me an Angie's List discount that I was expecting.

They first replaced the fence & it was substandard. The owner saw my Angies List rating & called to ask to be given another chance. They came out & did a much better job the second time. They did repair the problems with the fence they first built.

The staff that did the actual work were prompt and completed the job in much less time than originally estimated. The quality of their work was excellent.

Very professional crew that showed up when they said they would, and stayed late to get the job completed on the 2nd day. I like the fact that they put the fence posts in the ground 3 feet, rather than the stnd 2 ft. Fence Doctor was the only bidder who commented on the visibility triangle required on our corner lot and on the permit requirements if we wanted a fence over 6 ft tall. Since part of the existing fence had blown down recently, we didn't have 3 or 4 months to get approval to put the new fence in the footprint of the old fence. Just our luck --- a city inspector came by as the fence was being put up and said we'd have to adher to the visibility requirement. Fence Doctor immediately called us for a decision, and didn't miss a beat when they had to move the fence post holes for the triangle. Although our ground is a bit uneven, the fence is level and beautiful. It looks much better than the neighbors' fences in the recently built $600- $800,000 homes (lower Greenville)

Initial response was slow - two calls and one week before response to my first phone query. Scheduling the estimate, and preparation of materials, took about five weeks. The work itself was performed within two days. The crew was very professional. Quality of work was excellent. Entrance gate was supported with a welded steel frame (I did not request this, appears to be standard). The fence is simple and elegant. The cost was about $1K more than western red cedar from another vendor. Chose not to use red cedar because it is a slow-growing species taken mostly from old growth forests in the coastal NW (only a fraction is replanted at present). Cyprus comes from S. American plantations (bad also, but damage is already done). Cyprus may be more expensive than Cedar. Fence Doctors could be better organized, but their work is excellent. Highly recommended.

The Fence Doctor was on time, knowledgeable and provided a detailed quote and reference list. The price was slightly higher than the lowest bid we received.

Work was timely once scheduled-quality of work was excellent-price was on the high side, but not excessive. Very responsive to questions and requests.

Robert, the owner, was very prompt, arriving to inspect the work to be done the same day I phoned. He did a great job explaining the options and then gave quotes for a couple of different systems. The pricing was reasonable and since my previous system was still operable, he gave me a small discount in exchange for it. The workmen arrived on time to install the new system and did a good job. I am a satisfied customer with the service and product.

Two emails, and a phone message over a period of 3 weeks got no response. I sent one email to the address on the Angie's list website, and another to a slightly different one shown on the company's own website. Needless to say, I awarded the bid to another company.

WE HAD A VERY SATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE. ROBERT REPLIED IMMEDIATELY AND WAS OUT TO OUR HOUSE WITHIN ONE OR TWO DAYS. HE FOLLOWED UP WITH A PHONE DISCUSSION AND THEN E-MAILED AN 8 PAGE ESTIMATE WHICH WAS VERY SPECIFIC AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION DETAILS. HE ALSO MAINTAINS A WEBSITE WITH MANY PHOTOS OF HIS WORKS IN PROGRESS AND FINISHED PRODUCT. ALL-IN-ALL, WE WERE VERY COMFORTABLE WITH HIS ABILITY TO MEET ANY FENCE OR GATE NEEDS. WE WENT WITH A COMPETITOR ONLY BECAUSE OF A CLOSE PERSONAL CONNECTION THROUGH A MUTUAL FRIEND. THE BID WE ULTIMATELY SELECTED WAS WITHIN A FEW DOLLARS OF THE FENCE DOCTOR - SO BOTH COMPANIES WERE COMPETITIVELY PRICED.

ROBERT, THE OWNER, WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH -- HE'S COMPETENT, ON TIME, ETC. HE'S EXACTLY THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT TO HIRE. THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THE FOREMAN ON THE JOB, WHO TRIED TO PASS OFF SOME SUB-STANDARD WORK AND WHO GENERALLY DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS MISTAKES. BUT A FEW CALLS TO THE OWNER AND EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF.

IT WAS DIFFICULT TO FIND ANYONE TO REPAIR OUR 3 YEAR OLD WOOD FENCE. HOWEVER, ROBERT O'NEAL PROVIDED A TIMELY ESTIMATE WHICH WAS MUCH MORE REASONABLE THAN OTHERS. WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE ONCE AND THE CREW WAS 1 HOUR LATE, BUT WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND APPEAR TO HAVE DONE A QUALITY JOB.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND DID HIGH QUALITY WORK. THEY ALSO FIXED A PROBLEM WITH A SMALL FENCE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE FREE OF CHARGE.
