Lee Lackey was very responsive to my text. He came out to give me an estimate on the two commodes. He charges $75 labor per commode and actual cost for material. He showed up on time and the work was done within a few hours. We then asked for an estimate on the adding the spindle to the existing porch rails. I asked that he will made it code compliance. His price was high at ($350) for a 3 hours work but I had such a short deadline so there's no time to check for other estimates. He showed up 2 hours late but worked into the night to finish the work. He went off the work site without asking for the payment immediately and told me that he will send me the invoice. Days went by before I received the invoice in my email and I asked that he came back to fix some of the spindles that he cut were too short and the nails were seen through exposed. He was two days late on coming back to fix the work. I was disappointed that he did a sloppy job and the spindles were not cut correctly and also he was not knowlegeable of the codes on the spacing of the spindles. I would consider him for future work but not for major projects.

I contacted Lee Lackey at least twice leaving voicemails before I received a return call. It's rare that I can reach Lee without going through a voicemail and return call. It could take Lee about a day to return a call. I feel he can improve on this area of customer service. Otherwise, he was quick to provide an estimate and quote. His pricing is very reasonable compared to 6 other bids I've received. He estimated starting time at 9am and showed up at 9:45am. It hought that was a bit outside of his estimated arrival time. His work quality is good to average.
