Joe the Plumber

The scheduler and technician were both very professional and efficient. My flapper in the rear of the toilet was corroded and causing the toilet to constantly run. The technician immediately identified the problem. I was hoping to only pay for replacement of the flapper, but the technician said it was company policy to not replace individual components. Instead the entire internal toilet assembly had to be replaced. The total bill for that was over $200. That was really the only downside of the service. A $200+ bill for components that cost around $40 at the store is pretty good profit margin. I'm all about people making a profit for themselves, but I was a little shocked at the price tag. However, I have replaced the flush assembly in other toilets and it is a bit of a hassle. Plus, the toilet that had the problem is by far the most used toilet in our house and I wanted it done by a professional. After he was done the technician gave me some tips on maintaining the performance of the toilet that were very helpful. Those things combined with the professionalism, prompt and effective response add up to a positive experience.

We called Joe the Plumber after getting a recommendation from my in-laws. While my husband was mowing the lawn, he noticed water pouring out of the drain line that runs from our water heaters to the outside of the house. My husband immediately went into the attic to find the pan under our water heaters filled. We weren't sure we would be able to find anyone to come help us at 4:00 on a Sunday (without paying an arm and a leg), but we called Joe the Plumber anyway. Matt A. answered our call and blew us away. He was at our house in 40 minutes, he assessed the situation, and told us what we already suspected...both water heaters needed to be replaced. He set the water heaters up to drain safely while he left to go pick up 2 water heaters from their offices and returned within the hour along with another plumber to help. These guys worked tirelessly to disconnect and haul off the old water heaters. When they pulled the water heater with the most significant leak, the bottom fell out of it. They carefully bagged it up into 4 large bags to avoid any damage to our carpet & floors. They replaced both water heaters, the pan, the vent, the pipes, etc., and we didn't pay an arm and a leg for it. Matt even vacuumed the carpet surrounding the attic stairs before leaving. Seriously?!? Who shows that much pride in their work anymore? Like I said, Matt's professionalism, knowledge, and work ethic blew us away from start to finish. If we ever need plumbing services of any kind, I won't consider calling anyone else! I can't say enough good things about Joe the Plumber.

I had two bathroom sinks clogged by the A/C run off. I called at 3 and a tech was out by 4:20, crazy right? The receptionist/scheduler was very polite and efficient and asked me for the details of my issue. I left the conversation confident that things were going well. My tech Mike was friendly and after a minute of introductions was quickly diagnosing my plumbing issues. He snaked the two lines efficiently leaving no mess. He also coached me on how to prevent future slime buildup which shows integrity and value in long term relationships with customers. I will not hesitate to call Joe's out again when needed. I am putting them on speed dial now.

On June 26, 2016, we paid plumber Jeff $1095 for a dainage system he designed and installed to prevent wind-driven rain from flooding our interior patio. My only contribution to his drainage plan was to ask that he system also capture the water from the gutter downspouts in the patio. On July 25, 2016 the patio flooded. At 7:30 a.m. on July 26, 2016, I called Mr. Joe and reported the flooding. He said someone would come to check it out. Supervisor Matt came, ran water through the drains and said the water was moving through the drains. I told him the drains did nothing to capture the rain water that flooded the area. Supervisor Mike inspected the system and agreed the drains were too small and in the wrong locations. He said he discussed Jeff's drainage system with Mr. Joe. On Thursday, August 18, 2016, Mike came to our home, and under Mr. Joe’s direction and instructions, Mike proposed that we pay $1100 more to replace Jeff’s four inch system with catch basins and a six inch drainage system. We agreed to pay $1100 more. Mike said a crew would install the new system the following Monday, August 22, 2016. The crew did not show up on Monday. I called MIke’s scheduler on Monday at 2:00 p.m. and learned Mr. Joe ordered Mike not to show up or do any further work. We were stunned. This is a company that does not stand by its work or its word. We would NEVER hire them again and could NEVER recommend them to anyone. We grade them an “F” in all categories and “N”we would not hire them again

Our air conditioner stopped working at dinner time (of course). I called my air conditioning company, and they told me it was probably a breaker or a drain line that was stopped up. I checked, and it was not the breaker. I then called Joe the Plumber to drain the line, and almost immediately, I received a call from Chris, who arrived timely, considering he was coming from Cypress and the traffic was brutal. Chris immediately went into the attic, flipped a reset button, started the air conditioner, and then spent about 30 minutes dismantling the drain lines and unclogging the sink. He did an excellent job. Chris was efficient, careful, knowledgeable, and extremely polite. He explained everything as he went along. It is so refreshing to have a plumber you can trust totally to respond in a fair and timely manner, because I have had those that were not. I would hire him and his company every time.

Mike Villarreal, gave us all the details about our issue. The drain pipe of our A/C unit in our attic was installed incorrectly and without a p - trap, and secured with duct tape to seal two pipes together causing it to leak over time into our walls, insulations and causing sheetrock & mold damage .... So warring to home buyers get not only a home inspection but get it done by the actual service techs!! Examples A/C & Heating Techs....Plumbing Techs.... Foundation Specialist ect.... Save yourself future headaches. Mike gave us an invoice along with before & after pictures for our Insurance Claims Agent... I will highly recommend Joe The Plumber Services to all my family & friends not only for their Awesome Service, but their attention to details and quality of their work backed by their warranty on their installation. Mike V. did a very professional job. He installed a new kitchen faucet with new angle shut off for the hot and cold water valves. He installed new drain lines for the double sink and installed a garbage disposal on one sink . He also installed the water and drain line for a new dishwasher. He fastened the water and drain lines to the underside of a corner shelf to keep them up and out of the way leaving room to store items on the shelves. He ensured the dishwasher was level and fastened it to the mounting bracket. He also cleaned up any mess that he made. All in all he did a fantastic very professional job and I would highly recommend him and Joe the Plumber to others.

Matte & a helper quickly and efficiently installed the new tanks. They were extremely courteous tidy and thorough from start to finish!

From start to finish, everything went better than expected with using Joe the Plumber. They scheduled a free estimate right away, Matt came out and went through everything with us, even gave us the quote while he was there. We scheduled them in a couple days later, and they fit us into the schedule the next week. Project went as smooth as possible when re-piping a 30 year old home and everything looks and works fantastic now. Matt and his crew went above and beyond to help us, and he will now be our plumber for as long as we live in Houston.

Matt and Christopher were very professional and timely. They did a good kid and left the areas clean. They were very nice to my animals. We would use them again.

I called on a Sunday with major "black water" backup. Foyer, bathroom, coat closet and into living room had inches of water. It was AWFUL. Mike, the technician, arrived about 20 minutes after I made the emergency (weekend) call. When he got there, he immediately calmed me down. He took a look around and said something like "we've got this...don't worry." I was SO impressed with his professionalism and demeanor. He spent a long time snaking the pipe and explained everything he was doing and why. I know nothing about this issue, so he could told have definitely done many other things to run up my bill, he didn't do anything that was not necessary. I truly appreciated that and it showed me that this company has true integrity. Mike then had to call Steam Care (I also highly recommend them) to come remediate and clean. He stayed at my house until Steam Care arrived in order to personally introduce me to the project manager so I would be comfortable. This was very professional, as he certainly did not have to do that. Between the two companies, they worked for many hours. Carpet removed; sheetrock cut and removed; then sprayed the antibacterial stuff so we don't get sick. SIX DAYS LATER I had to call Joe's again...same darned problem as before. Water out to the street. The technician, Mike, came back out and worked tirelessly to find the problem. Spent as much time as was necessary. I could tell that his main objective was to get it fixed...not to put a bandaid on it, charge me an exorbitant amount of money, and leave. Turns out I had a big tree root growing into my sewer line. They are actually out at my house today. Had to dig a trench five feet down, but found the problem and permanently fixing it!!!! This has been a NIGHTMARE...but, I will say, I am so glad that this is the company working on the problem. The technician from Joe's has made me feel much better and not nearly as stressed as I could be. He is VERY knowledgeable, but also has such a nice and calm demeanor (and has such great manners). I only take the time to write a review if I receive exceptional service....which I have. I HIGHLY recommend Joe the Plumber to ANYONE who needs any type of service from them. This is a family-owned business, which I also expressly support. I will always use Joe's from now on and have told my friends and neighbors about them. I should have plumbing tonight!!! Can't wait!!!!

Great result. Richard showed up 15 minutes early. We went over the work to be installed. He then went straight to gathering the materials he would need and went to work. Did a quality job in a short amount of time. Had everything he needed on his truck. Was very courteous and professional and wanted to make sure I was happy with the work before he called it complete. Would recommend them, especially if you can get Richard.

They plumber arrived on time and looked the water heater and said it needed to be replaced the left dirt on my floors and rust marks on the drive way. (may pipes knock now when we use the hot water).

The person completed the job fast and was done in 15 minutes.

Excellent service! They made same-day space in their schedule because I told them I was having guests coming the next day. Their plumber was fast and knew what he was doing. I would definitely recommend. I gave a B on price because they run about average, but they reminded me that I would get the Angie's discount!

Technician arrived on time. Very polite & quiet. When he was done, he left.

I called and got an appointment soon. The man came and we determined I needed a new hot water heater. He returned with another man and installed it. I realized it was not working properly & called. The repairman returned promptly and fixed it in a few minutes.
