Description of Work: Really great customer service. I have used them on a couple of occasions now. The last service call was during the freeze where the pipes on the water softer had frozen at one of my rental units. They were very responsive and accommodating.

Description of Work: Replaced a hot water heater on a Saturday evening. Cost was 1850. The tech was good and explained everything that he was going to do. Upon completion he showed me what he had done. |He gave me a 5% discount for being an Angie member but not the additional 5% for being a senior as shown on the Website. I thought it was a bit expensive, but I needed to have the water heater replaced, it was a Saturday evening and it required 2 techs. Beggers can't be choosers in a situation like that.

Description of Work: When I called Joe the Plumber I was told that a service representative would be at my home between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. He was here at 11:00 a.m. I was also told that there would be no service charge whether I used their services or not. Luis came into my home with a pleasant, professional, ready to get the job done attitude. There were major leaks in my kitchen sink pipes and he quickly discovered each area that was leaking, replaced the parts that were damaged and installed a new faucet and soap dispenser that I had previously purchased. He did this in a timely manner and charged me, what I consider a very reasonable price. I will definitely use Joe the Plumber for any future plumbing needs, which in the case of my older home, could be extensive. I had called Abacus, who advertise quick service (not fast at all) because even after I explained that my kitchen sink pipes were spraying water they informed me that it would be that night (it was 8:00 a.m. when they were called) and I would have to pay extra for the service. This is not how I interpret their television advertisement and was upset at their uncaring and dismissive attitude, so I hung up and checked my Angie's list directory and found Joe the Plumber. I was told that they would be at my home between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Luis was here and ready to work at 11:00 a.m. Would I ever call Abacus again, absolutely not. JOE THE PLUMBER is my choice.

Description of Work: Hot water not flowing well in bathroom sink . . found large piece of rust in handle mechanism. Problem found immediately and removed rust. Rather pricey for a very small problem.

Description of Work: unplug main sewer line that runs thru the house, had to get on top of roof through the vent to unplug, that was an extra charge.

Description of Work: All I needed done was a cartridge cleaned in the kitchen faucet and a leaking shower fixed. The man who came to do the work was obviously inexperienced. I asked him if he was licensed and he said yes. He did not know the pricing or warranties. He did not know how to get my kitchen faucet apart which I had done previously by following the directions. So he replaced the faucet instead with one I had which was ok. That work was completed. He said he needed parts for the shower and would call me back the next day which he did. He quoted me $387 and said he would be here between 11 am and noon. I asked him if that was just parts or labor included. He said he thought it was parts only. I told he better check again with his company because that price was too high. He did not show up or call me back until after 1pm. He said he had a water emergency. He said the price he quoted earlier was parts and labor. I told him never mind since I already contacted another plumber.
