Juan Rodriguez J's Landscape is liar. $8000 landscape all dead in 4months and his 1 year warranty is a lie. We are headed to court

It is now June and he has still not come back to plant the 11 remaining 3 gallon plants he owes us (we paid pickup/delivery/plant cost/planting/fertilizing). For a long time each week he kept saying he will be coming and now he will no longer respond. Just ridiculous pour service. You cannot trust him. On top of that he also said all the plants he did plant he would warrant for loss. He contacted us asking for work in the wintertime saying he really needed work. I had told him that we would only do the planting if he warranted them through the winter. He agreed. We did end up losing 19 plants and he is now saying it is not his problem and he will not replace them as the nursery will not warrant them. I bought the plants from him at significant markup vs the nursery to cover a warranty for a year. It is his issue he needs to sort with the nursery if he wishes but he needs to uphold his warranty to me and replace the dead plants. He has now stopped responding to all of my inquiries. I have submitted a claim with the BBB to help resolve. I would never recommend Juan as he is not trustworthy! Do not fall for his smooth talking.

Contractor was dishonest. Over-priced and under-performed. Plants delivered did not meet the plants quoted, e.g., 25-gallon tree was quoted, 15-gallon tree delivered. When discovered that the delivered plants did not meet the quote, contractor shut down and became recalcitrant. Plants were not planted; just placed on the detritus in the yard with some dirt and mulch spread around. Large portions of the root balls left exposed. High cost attributed by vendor to the potential of replacing the plant within the one-year warranty period. One-year warranty a norm in the area. Not customer oriented. Argues with the customer. Would never use or recommend this contractor to anyone.
