I placed my order on a Friday (December 5, 2014). The lady at the desk told me that the order would be put in that day and that the tile would be delivered to their warehouse by the middle of the next week. I called in the middle of the next week and spoke with Brenda who told me that the tile was not ordered until the following Monday. It would be in the next week Wednesday or Thursday (Dec 17 or 18). I juggled my contractor and workers to do different jobs instead of doing the tile when we expected it in. On Tuesday, Dec 16, I called the warehouse to ask if they had an ETA on my tile. The lady at the warehouse told me that it was not going to be delivered until sometime in February due to high demand and a back order. I immediately called Brenda who told me that she would try to fix the problem, which I appreciated. She was going to call her suppliers and see if they could get an assortment of different dyes that I could mix match. I was OK with that, however, my project was now behind by 2 weeks. Brenda was supposed to call me back by 2:00 that afternoon. I did not hear back from Brenda, so on Wednesday, Dec. 17, I went to a different tile store and bought 1000 sq. ft. of a different tile. As I was looking up the number to call Brenda to cancel my order, she called me to tell me the great news: They located a shipment of tile for me and it would be here in a week. I let her know that I had already ordered tile from a different vendor and needed to cancel my order to which she responded, "YOU CAN'T JUST CANCEL AN ORDER!" After I told her that I did not hear back from her for over 24 hours after she promised that she would call me back immediately, she got very short and rude with me and abruptly ended our conversation. I did hear back from her about an hour later when she told me that the order was able to be cancelled as it was not yet loaded on the truck. I asked her if she needed my card number to give me a refund, to which she very rudely told me, "Our accounting department handles that." She again abruptly ended our conversation with no help or direction to whom I needed to call for the refund. The accounting department called me back 2 days later to get my card number for the refund, so all was good there. They were very nice as was Rebecca at the warehouse. Brenda was extremely nice while she was trying to sell me something, but as soon as things were not going her way, she completely changed her tune. I will never use Flaherty's Flooring America again for any of my flooring needs based on the rudeness of this one person that works for them. I can find the same product for a better price on both the product and installation at many different places around Houston.

So far the service is good. They gave us a quote, and they were recommended by Angie's List, so that was one of the major factors in picking them. They were very detailed with photographs, drawing and itemization. We also saw their BBB rating, and when we talked to their representative Larry, he was very very comprehensive. The insurance agent said they were only going to pay for refinishing, and he showed us photos of something that I had suspected. The wood would concave up or convex down within a year because a layer had been removed. He was able to answer every question, and he was quite knowledgeable. They were much more responsive than several others that we called. Larry knew his stuff, and he asked us to wait until after the holiday, because he just had one crew that he trusted for in house refinishing, and we really appreciated that. Larry is a member of the flooring society, and he even gives lectures to other flooring companies on how to handle flooring, and he even advises insurance companies on how they should handle things, so he is quite professional.

After we had another company consistently miss their delivery dates and no communication, we contacted Mr. Flahery on the Friday before memorial day. He had carpet in stock and on Friday was trying to schedule a crew for Saturday. Due to the holiday no one was available but a crew was there first thing Tuesday morning. They were a little more expensive than the other company but I'd gladly pay it again because they are professional and responsive.

We were so impressed with the product and service that Flaherty provided in our old home that when we moved, we hired them again to do work in our new home. They helped us make good decisions about the products and the designs. The installation crews paid attention to the details, including cleanup. They were polite, friendly and punctual. The jobs were always completed in a timely manner. It was a pleasure doing business with Flaherty's. We will continue to use them for future jobs.

They were helpful in the show room and terrific from start to finish on both the carpet replacement a year ago and the area rug this year.

Yes, I used Flaherty's Flooring America. I really enjoyed working with them. It was about a year ago. The project manager was very easy to work with and he personally came to my house whenever there was an issue. He definitely was in it to make me happy. They work to make the customer happy.

It went very well. You can barely tell where the patch of carpet was put in, and the areas that were cleaned have never looked so good!

I sent an email last week and as of a week later, NO ONE RESPONDED!

We purchased our house in April and picked out carpet prior to moving in. While the sales associate who helped us is no longer with Flaherty's, he (Jonathan Rivers) was very nice and helpful. We picked out a high quality Karastan carpet that was very soft and can take just about any spills, even bleach. The installation crew was prompt, very friendly, and took extra care to clean up after they were finished. They also, at no charge to me, and with no advance warning, picked up and hauled off some really old awful carpet that had been covering the previous owner's garage floor. We went with Flaherty's because my in-laws had used them several years prior for the installation of their carpet and flooring. They were very pleased, and so were we. While the carpet we purchased was costly, that was our own doing (nothing was pushed on us), and we were very satisfied with the service we received. I would definitely use Flaherty's again and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone.

Absolutely outstanding, Ask for Carl he will do you right. Took out old rug, leveled floor, installed new wood floor, and custom made us a area rug.

They were absolutely outstanding. They were responsive, they showed up exactly when they said they would show up. They said they would charge us X-amount of Dollars to level anything, and that is exactly how much it was about. It was less than what they had estimated, and so it was good. The quality of work was excellent.

The company's owner came to the house to measure and inform us of the types of flooring which would best suit our needs. Our dogs sometimes have potty accidents, so we needed something that would not warp if it got wet, wanted something easy to clean. Mr. Flaherty told us about the Coretech product and showed us samples. Several weeks later, two young men, who were very professional, ripped up the old carpet, removed it, leveled the slab, and installed the product. The finished product looks great! We later had a concern about something, which they took care of immediately. I would highly recommend this company. BTW, I found this company through Angie's List.

Patrick, the owner came to my house and measured the house and gave me quote. It was an awesome price and it came in right on budget. They did my 3900 ft2 house in one day. The workers (who have worked with him for 15+ years) showed up 10 minutes early. It was flawless and they worked like dogs. Perfect instillation and no hassles or issues. They hauled the old carpet and cleaned up and was cleaner than they started. What a class act. I have never had this good of service with anything home related. I Thank Patrick for an honest price and perfect communication. Everyone in the office was very easy to deal with. I could not give a better review of a contractor if I had to. Great craftsmanship and service.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with all the people at Flahertys. From the sales person, Nancy, to Mr. Flaherty and the installers. I was having difficulty making up my mind. Nancy explained all the options and helped me work within my budget. Unbeknownst to me, she worked behind the scenes to obtain the flooring I wanted, in my timeframe. The flooring I finally decided on was out of stock locally and she worked with the Rep. to locate the product . The installers did a great job. I could not be happier. I highly recommend this company. When I'm ready to replace more of my carpeting, I will definitely work with them again.

It went very well. I moved in with my sister for a week and checked on the job in the evening several times. The whole process was very stress-free. My only complaint was not being told about the difference in height between my exhisting tile and the laminate, which was thicker. I have found that the difference is barely noticed as I walk about my home, so my concerns have decreased considerably. I will certainly go to them and recommend them for any flooring needs.

They were respectful. He understood what I was looking for - my goals. He was also very detailed about what they would do, where the carpet would come from, etc. He sent me a quote. His assistant was also respectful. They made me feel important to them. They came through with flying colors. They completed the job in one entire day.

They were expensive, but okay. I did not use them because they were too expensive. They did not follow up their quote for a very long time until, I think, they realized they did not get my business.

We found everyone at Flaherty's to be knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. From the estimate to the installation, as well as a follow up visit, everyone was prompt and professional.

Once the job was started, the installers were quick, professional, helpful in explaining job. Installers (employed by flooring company, not subcontractors) did a great job of installing the hardwoods. Very happy with the end result.
