This company from top to bottom delivers on their promises. The professionalism of the team and the supervision of the work were evident throughout the process. I felt very comfortable providing them with a key to the house during the 4 doors of floor removal and installation. I would definetly recommend them.

Fairly well. They did arrive on a rainy day, but had previously told me they would not come during inclement weather. So job was stalled a few extra days due to miscommunication. The overall job and quality was very good.

The Estimate was very professional and the Owner gave suggestions as to how to tie in the existing wood with the new wood that was being installed as I had mannington hardwood in my entry hallway, living area and small hallway to master bed room. I had three estimates including this estimate this one was not the lowest but in the middle and was going to blend in the existing wood with the new wood, where the other two were going to have a transition making the floors look separate. The Owner explained everything I would need to do to prepare for the installers. Ann who e-mailed the quote and discussed the price was very friendly and easy to work with. The installers were professional, friendly, willing to please and punctual. They moved the funiture to install the wood. I had to take eveything out of my cario cabinets ie all of the fragiles so they could move the furniture. The first day they had to put a lot of patch in the dining room and had to put some patch in the master bed room prior to laying the floor. They came back the next day to install the wood floor. The only complaint that I have is the installers put the bed rail against my expensive white Sealy mattress instead of leaving the mattress cover in place and caused a lot of black marks accross the mattress. The bed rails were also against the box springs and did cause a tear along the wheel of the bed rail to the box spring. The installation was excellent and my floors look fantastic, I cannot believe how beautiful they look. I had no problem with the installation. The job was big and it took about 3-4 days to complete. I did advise Flaherty of what had occurred regarding my mattress, when I made the final payment on my flooring. They handled the issue in a professional and prompt manner. The operational manager came out right away to view the mattress and I had noticed a scratch in one of the wood planks which he also reviewed. It was no more than 10 minutes after he left that someone from a restoration and carpet cleaning company was calling to set up an appointment to clean the mattress and another call after that for someone to come out and address the scratch in 2 days. Long and short they handled the problem right away and made sure it was to my satisfaction with no questions asked. The work was quality and I could not be happier with my new floor and the way that Flaherty's conducted their business. The price was good and better than most places for the service that they preformed, I would highly recommend them to anyone else who needed hard wood floors installed.

They got out here pretty fast. They were willing to do what we needed them to do. They were professional and honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to do some ceramic tile, because they were really great.

Kim at Flooring America provided us with good background information on the different types of carpets they sold and where the carpet would best perform. She also came out to our house and performed the measurements. We took our time making a decision (over a month) and she didn't push us at all. She answered several questions via email very quickly and helped us get samples several times to take home and evaluate. The scheduling process was great and they really tried to work around our schedule. The two installers that did our job were exceptional. They spoke English and we were able to easily communicate! They were very careful with all of our furniture (they moved everything) and surprisingly got everything back exactly where it was. They cleaned up everything and vacuumed all of the new carpets AND BASEBOARDS :-). I'm pretty picky and I have to say their install seemed flawless. No visible seams (we had berber installed). All the finish work around the edges was perfect! And finally, the installers were careful to tell us how to take care of our new carpet and they left no messes -- just nice new carpet and very happy customers. We messed up the final payment (forgot to pay with check to get the cash discount - and we forgot print out the Angie's List rebate and take it to get credit for it), but Kim was able to eventually get it all fixed for us. I rarely rave about a company's service & quality, but these guys are great and they deserve it. I have to admit their price seemed high to me, but I'm highly satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

They were very nice and very helpful. They came out and measured the area for us. All of their options were more than we expected to spend.

We decided to go with someone else because they were cheaper. We had no problems. She was very nice. She got back to us in a very reasonable amount of time. When she did call I told her, because we were looking at other companies at the time, that we had not made up our minds yet and we were exploring other avenues. The wood that we wanted for the master bedroom to match the rest of the house was not being made anymore. And we double checked with someone else. She was up and up and told us exactly how it was.

They were helpful in the carpet selection process and arrived promptly to both measure for the carpet and install it. We really like the carpet. The only problem we had was they cracked a marble tile on the fireplace surround during the installation process. They came out the next day to take the broken corner so they could find a matching tile to replace the broken one. We were given 3 tiles to choose from and one of them was a great match for the existing tiles. The tile man was able to match the grout also and you cannot even tell a tile has been replaced. Accidents happen and I think they did a good job of correcting the problem. The replacement tile was installed within a week. I would highly recomment this company.

The job went as well as possible. Everything went as promised - no detail was missed in the planning or execution of the project.

I called with a description of a problem with my wood floors in order to see if there were any repair options. They seemed reluctant to deal with a small (in area) problem. They mentioned they would talk with one of their technicians and call back but they never did.

It went like clockwork. discussed the work over the phone, they made an initial visit, provided me with a quote, I scheduled the work, they called to confirm, showed up on time, were very professional. Got the puppy stains out of the white carpet and did a beautiful job on the patch.

Very friendly staff. Puctual on the measurement. Helpful in explaining why my measurements were lower than their measurments. Carpet layers moved furniture and offered to move it back to new places if we desired. Finished in one day versus two. We're happy with the result

Kim, the salesperson, came and did the measure for us, and she was very friendly and professional. She came by later and dropped off a laminate sample for us as well and let us keep it for as long as we wished, and picked it up when we were done looking at it. We got the quote very quickly, and she patiently waited until we were ready to get started, and once we were, the appointment was made right away and before we knew it, we had new floors. I felt like Kim really took care of us and helped us find something we'd really be happy with. She told us about a fairly inexpensive muffler that could be installed underneath the laminate so it wouldn't sound so hollow, the way laminate does, and she picked out a laminate sample that looks very much like hardwood, that they get at a lower price because they buy it in bulk. I wouldn't have known where to begin when first shopping for flooring, but thanks to Kim's help, my floors are even more beautiful than I'd imagined. The two men who came to do the work were great. It took three days, only because they had to move furniture into one room, work on the other two rooms, then move the furniture back and finish that third room. They were very respectful of my belongings and put everything back exactly the way it was when they were done. About a month later, we received a box of cookies from Kim, thanking us for our business. That was a very nice touch! We will definitely work with them again, when we're ready to replace the carpet upstairs.

I thought they have always done a great job, they have good service and good management. They are punctual and I'd use them again. Price wise, they are probably not the cheapest.

He was honest and let me know the job he would, I could do myself. His honesty saved me money. I will certainly call them again when I am ready to do some flooring. He was honest, professional, and courteous. His recommendations for what to do ourselves also worked.

Excellent, professional, friendly, helpful service. Exceptional quality work. Kim and Dave got the estimate done quickly. Work began ASAP. Greg (hardwood floors) and his crew were always on time, cleaned up after themselves every day, worked over a holiday weekend, did meticulous work - all while dealing with ME every day. Jesus (carpeting) and his crew were equally terrific. How often do you give a tradesman a key to your home and feel completely at ease about doing so? Highly, highly recommend Flaherty's Flooring America Woodlands location. The "Thank You" tin of cookies did not in any way t**** this report.

Dave Clark of Flooring America in the Woodlands was a wonderful salesperson. He helped me work with my insurance adjuster, was wonderfully knowledgeable about the various wood floor products, and help me make sure that I was working in the price range of my insurance settlement. He arranged for installation to be done by Bill, who proved to be a meticulous craftsman. Bill and his two co-workers began work on Thursday morning and took considerable time covering shelves and doorways with plastic to keep dust problems to a minimum, and very carefully moving furniture. Tearing out the old floor lasted until midday Friday; then they started spreading the float. They packed up and hauled away all the old wood to the company's dumpster. They kept the worksite inside the house amazingly clear throughout this whole process. On Saturday, beginning at 8:30, Bill and one coworker began to scrape and smooth the dried float. Some installers apparently use electric sanders to do this, creating clouds of dust, but Bill scraped by hand to avoid creating dust. This kind of approach that constantly kept in mind the comfort and convenience of the customer was evident at all stages of the job. Installation of the new wood took place on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Bill volunteered to work on Sunday to make sure that the flooring was completed before my houseguests arrived for the Fourth of July holiday). He was careful to ask me if the placement of variably colored wood strips was agreeable. He made sure to distribute darker color strips evenly over the surface. Bill had planned to begin placing quarteround trim on the baseboards on Monday, but discovered that the trim he had bought had stained a darker shade than the floor. He could have just installed it and never mentioned it, but he is a craftsman, and asked me whether it seemed to me that the trim was too dark. I agreed, and he then purchased different trim that would stain to a matching color. He came back on Tuesday to install the trim. It looked perfect, and the end product was truly beautiful. Dave Clark came by twice to check on the progress of the job. Both Dave and Bill were a real pleasure to work with -- -- courteous, friendly, highly knowledgeable. I'm sure it's possible to spend less than I did on flooring by buying it at a discount and finding someone to install it. However, I was glad to have such a knowledgeable salesperson help me with selecting the wood, and it could have been quite an ordeal to have a less careful installer in my house for six days, not to mention the cost in cleanup time I could have incurred. I'm happy to know that I have a quality floor, correctly installed, that will last for years. To top off this happy experience, the final price was almost $300 less than the quote because fewer bags of float were used than in the original quote!

Met with designer one day and she agreed to talk to my wife the following day. She wrote down all of the information and told me that she or someone else would be able to help. My wife went in the following day but the designer was just going out and told her that she would be back in "all afternoon". My wife tried to talk with salesfolks that morning but they didn't know about the "big sale" the designer told me about that would be starting on July 1. My wife left and came back in the afternoon, only to be told that the designer was gone for the day. My wife and I went in the following day (we knew the designer wouldn't be in) to look at the carpet I had seen and get scheduled for measuring our home. This is not a little job. It is a upscale 3700 sf home that is being almost entirely updated with new carpet, hardwood, and tile. I asked the salesman about the carpet sale and he basically told me that the designer didn't know what she was talking about as there was no "big sale" and he was in charge of that aspect. My wife asked about getting Patrick to measure and the salesperson replied in the most condenscending tone you can imagine "I TOLD you, you're not on the schedule". At that point, I had enough and told him.. "you are correct, and we will never be on your schedule". We left after I commented that we had just received possibly the worst svc I could imagine". We went with another contractor. They start the project this coming week,

Overall - all went well. The carpet layers were prompt and did an good job. Lynne called to follow up after the job was done.

Sales manager Chris Nietubicz handled our sale and service. He is very knowledgeable about the various products he carries and matching them to our needs. He was also very patient with us in our making a final decision about when to do the project and exactly which color we wanted--giving us many samples to take home and try out. The confirmation call from another person told us that the crew could move the furniture around as they did the job but was told by the crew that wasn't what they usually did but they came up with a solution. The crew were prompt, friendly and helpful when I needed to get to certain areas of the house. They also recommended that we replace our front door threshold and recommended someone who did a great job as well. They came the first day, moved some of the furniture (we had already moved some although we didn't have to), hung plastic over built-in book cases for dust, and pulled up the old flooring. They also had to chip away some of the limestone fireplace so the laminate would fit under (see picture)--a dusty and time consuming job that turned out great. The second day they began laying the new laminate, making the cuts outside. The third day they finished laying the floor and replaced the furniture. That evening another man came and did the transition pieces where the laminate met carpet at the bedrooms. I felt comfortable leaving the men at my home when I needed to run errands or get my kids from school. We are very happy with the job they did.

Great! Hurricane Ike and the after storm left me with water 15 feet into my family room. Since it was creeping water, it was not covered under my homeowners insurance policy. Family members have used Flaherty's for years so I went to them, but did compare prices at a couple of others. They sent Dave to measure within 24 hours and then we set a date for installation. They had a great deal on Shaw wood floors and on tiles too. Installation was great. The master bath is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and I cannot express how fabulous my new wood floors throughout the family room, both formals, and bedroom turned out. Their installation teams are true artisans. They also have a lifetime warranty on their installation which is 100 times better than any of the other companies out in the market.
