Brian Gardens Landscape Design & Irrigation

Do not waste your time to call these unprofessional people. I asked them for an appointment to come out and test my irrigation system, as my home and yards were totally destroyed by the dam water shed from Hurricane Harvey. i needed them to turn on the system to see if or how it was working. The clueless woman who answered their phones told me that "they don't just come out to look." When I tried again to make an appointment, she told me it wasn't possible as their schedule wasn't made out yet.I reiterate - don't waste your time !!

The people who worked at my home were very professional and very skilled. The every day the area was picked up from the days work and left in an clean an organized manner. Once they completed the yard and patio areas were left very clean. Would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone who needed work scope of this companies offering. Frequent communications and work checks helped keep the work aligned to expectations. Employees were very courteous and did I mentioned skilled. This company was pleasure to work with.

Showed up on time and did a great job with a very quick and efficient crew. Cost seems a little high but they do a great a job. You get what you pay for.

went well with the exception of the shade arbor which was done by a subcontractor however Brians Gardens is working with the subcontractor to make it right.

Brian Gardens did an excellent job upgrading the front and backyard landscaping. I would use them in the future and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

The patio looks fantastic. The team worked really hard and I am confident the patio will last a long time.

After ten month of the service accomplished, we can say we are very satisfied with the results. Our backyard received many compliments from our friends and I'm glad that our kid has her playing and learning space here. I first contracted the work to be done on my back yard, a complete renovation including landscaping and replacement of wood decking with a wrap around stone deck. The back yard work and project management was wonderful. Brian is superb, his team is professional and most important, he knows the landscaping business and was extremely helpful in offering guidance on the design and plant selection per my requirements. The total effort was approximately 2 weeks. The job went so well, that I decided to continue the work to the front yard. I suspect that Brian is getting a lot of work, and his success is warranted based on the quality, however, he delegated the front yard to someone else, a new project manager. This person is not experienced in landscaping, doesn't know landscape design or plants, and doesn't have the right set of customer skills to be in the role. The entire process was night and day compared to the back yard and quite frankly, a very trying and exhausting experience. In the end, I dealt with the work crew myself in order to have the work done the way I wanted. If you decide to use Brians Gardens, and I do highly recommend them, only work with Brian himself - he's exceptional at what he does. It's just too bad he can't clone himself. Do not work anyone else in his employ to plan, design and manage the work. The back yard job gets an "A" all around, the front yard gets a "C".

Brian and his team were by far the most conscientious of the many contractors I have worked with in the past two years that I have spent restoring this property. He patiently redrew and re-bid the landscape design for two prior pool designs before I was able to settle on a pool contractor. His crew went beyond the call of duty to complete the project on schedule despite rain and mud that prevented the use of heavy equipment. His crew chief Jose was was a pleasure to work with and almost obsessive in his attention to detail. And unlike most contractors, Brian stopped by nearly every day to check on the progress. The result is stunningly beautiful. I can't stop looking at it!

the crew was efficient, professional, and made adjustments as requested, i.e., they extended the metal border at my request. they installed new sod where the wheelbarrows had damaged the existing lawn without my requesting it. they cleaned up after themselves. Brian is a little pricey, but he is worth it due to the quality of his work. we have requested a further bid from him to landscape the front of our house.

We added pavers to widen our driveway. The cost was good and they did an excellent job. I would use them in the future if the need arises.

EXTREMELY pleased with the results and solutions. This was a complete make-over of a disastrous backyard with flooding issues, relatively no grass, no landscape beds or plants, a non-working, poorly designed sprinkler system, and a lackluster side yard along the driveway. Brian is extremely knowledgeable of all aspects, full of ideas, and willing to work through the planning stage and every step of the process. Does a wonderful job of providing detailed plans and drawings, listens to your concerns and wants, and tweaks the plans to get costs down and achieve what you want. He's not the cheapest but he is the best. Would hire him again in a heartbeat! This2-week job entitled: Stripping the entire yard Installing two separate drainage systems that drained to the street and ties in all gutter drain spouts Re-grading the yard Installing beautiful paver patio Creating 3 landscape beds Bullrock beds along the house and garage, separating the landscape beds from the foundations Planting shrubs and trees (everything blooms at some time and are not the run-of-the-mill plants - Brian excels at these selections!) Mulching Laying sod Repairing sprinkler system, revamping existing and adding an additional zone Transformed the side yard with needed drainage, missing sprinkler, crushed granite and a landscape bed - enjoying this everyday from our kitchen window!

They came and did an estimate for me. They emailed me back my estimate, and I am considering using them, but am getting one more estimate.

I contacted Brian because of his positive reviews. The initial meeting to discuss the project was much better than the others I talked with. He listened to all my thoughts about the projects and provided helpful feedback. Brain's team provided an estimate for the project about one week later. Again, he did a much better job than most others with a detailed sketch. The cost was higher than two others I had contacted but lower than one. However, I thought it was the best value given my interactions with them and the design they made. They did the work about three weeks later. The work included: - Removing a concrete walkway and replacing it with a brick path - Removing all plants in two garden beds - Installing several shrubs, a tree, and other plants in the two beds plus creating two other small beds - Installing landscape lighting - The project also include irrigation adjustments and other landscape lighting adjustments As with any large job there were some minor problems but Brian was always quick to fix them. I have called them twice since the job was finished and they have always come out to make the changes that needed to be made.

Brian's Garden did a great job installing the extension to match it up with existing patio. With the repair they again did a great job matching the brick and pattern. They were responsive in all areas of service, prompt, courteous, cleaned up every day, professional and very helpful. I would definitely use them again.

Brian is great to work with. He explained what needed to be done and gave me some options on materials of construction. The job took a liitle longer than I expected but the wall looks great. In the process o tearing done the old wall some damage was done the the sprinkling system which was all repaired. Some damage was done to the lawn moving materials with a tractor but Brian resodded the lawn where the damage was the worst. The crew was in a hurry on the last day and I feel a few of the few of the small details could have been done better. Overall I was pretty happen with the job.

Excellent! Great design for a yard that needed a lot of work. Professional crew. Always punctual and responsive. We added to the project as we went along and Brian was wonderful at finding ways to work with and hide some of the unsightly aspects of our yard that included a corner of utility boxes and a manhole. I never imagined our yard could look this nice! His design and the choice of plants and more were perfect!

This was a project that we had barely started and wanted someone else to complete. We had the pavers and wanted someone to install them for us. Karen came right out and took a look. She said she would have an estimate drawn up for me and email it to me by the following Monday or Tuesday. I never heard back from the company again either by email or phone. I was not really suprised. The feeling I got after she came out was that this job was beneath them and a waste of their time. I had my patio done by someone else.

After the fact, weeds coming up though mulch. Again, no supervision. Also, we bought and planted plants, same size, to fill in holes of plants purchased by Brian. Our plants are doubled in size. Some of Brians are actually dying. Did not get 2000 worth.

I did receive a call from someone asking to schedule an appointment. She could not schedule an appointment after 4PM without checking with the boss. I told them the scope of the work was removal of old landscaping, addition of a water feature and replacing all plants, etc. All in all a pretty big job. She called back and said that they would not be able to come out at 5:30 as requested. Evidently, they have enough business that a $10k plus job is too much trouble. I don't feel that an appointment at that time of the day is unreasonable. It left a bad feeling.

We've been working with Brian Gardens Landscape Designs since 2005. It's an ongoing thing. They come weekly to take care of the lawn and the retaining walls. This is our business property and it's over 2 acres. They do a lot of work for us. Customer service is paramount to them. I think they really care about their customers. Return business is important to them.

Naturally, we are leary of the integrity of this company and are looking for someone else to take care of our issue and to give our hard earned $$$ to.

I talked to 4 different landscape companies. I knew we had a big project. Brian was the most professional and I felt that he listened to what I wanted. I was looking for low maintenance, lots of evergreen and perinnial color. He presented a professional cad drawing showing the sprinkler system, beds, walkways and plantings. He also supplied photos of the plants so I could review them. He provided options and reviewed them with me. He made suggestions and explained his reasoning. We agreed on a plan and the work commenced within days. His crews were respectful, neat and very polite...they even helped me on a project that I shouldn't have tried alone! Brian or his daughter Caron were in contact (in person, email and by phone) and checked in at least once a day, if not several times a day. One of them was always there during the layout and planting times. It was awesome to see the yard go from a blank slate to a lush, finished home. When I had a concern (like a tree ended up too close to the driveway), he addressed it before I had a chance to bring it up. It was almost a 2 month job, but I never had to worry about what was scheduled or when, they kept me updated and "in the loop". Even after the work had been complete, they called to check up on the work and let me know that they are there if I need something. I did ask them to come out one of the zones on the sprinkler system, they came that day and corrected the issue.

Brian was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. His estimate and proposal that he presented to us was very professional and thorough. The work actually started days earlier than he originally told us, which was fine. His workers and office people were very professional and answered any questions we had as we went along. Brian or one of his assistants came by every day to check on the progress. All of the work we had took longer than was originally anticipated, but Brian was very up front with that time increase, and they used the time to make sure the work was done to the original plan and our satisfaction. Overall this was a wonderful experience and we are very happy with the end result.

We are doing some other work on the house at the moment - but as soon as that is done - we will have Brian out to do the landscape. We can't wait! :) and will submit another report then... So we had Brian come out and install a complete drainage system and sprinkler system and landscape the backyard. We wanted to hold off on installing the deck - so he adopted the landscaping so it would look good in the meantime. There were a couple of things we had to change while they were working, like steel-edge our clumping bamboo - and his foreman worked with us of figuring out the best way to do it. Brian also "repaired" the existing drainage - saving us about $800 for a permit. He permitted the irrigation and the inspector came out and passed it first time. - The back looks fabulous. I love looking out our patio doors and seeing it! They did such a fabulos job - in about 7 days - I highly recommend them. I een had some "panic issues" when they had cut some tree roots to our red-oak. Brian came right out himself to see what his crew had done and talk to me about how it would effect the tree. He also worked with our arborist - who is taking care of our two giant red oaks - one of which has canker and that we are trying to save. So I'm a bit touchy about messing with the tree-root system. Brian had a couple of phone converstations with John Hinko - our arborist - and he commented to me that he has worked with a lot of landscapers, and Brian knows what he is doing - which is more than most of them. So that was reassuring. We can't say enough good things about Brian Landscaping - He professional, an expert - and he is reasonable! - Our friend just hired him on our recommendation and she is just as pleased too. We are going to hire him for the front when we start there.
