Everything is working perfectly. They were on time and professional. They had to re work a lot of my lines. They did not tell me, but they accidentally shut the gas line off to my house but came out the next day and re lit the hot-water heaters and turned the gas back on to my house.

We had been thinking about having our archaic pool redone for quite some time but I was leery of some the contractors I had contacted and spoken with. Most of them did not take the time to educate us further (other than our own research) on the type and quality of pool would be suit our needs, what extras we could have, and ultimately, the price breakdown for EVERYTHING. One actually tried to intimidate me into signing a contract with him, and yet he could not provide me with the information I was requesting. I spoke with Joseph after finding Backyard Pool Specialists on Angie's list and immediately felt comfortable with him. He never pressured us regarding when we wanted to have the work done. He answered all of our questions thoroughly (and I had plenty!). No one tried to sell us more that what we wanted and everyone in the office was welcoming and open. The men who came to work on the pool were professional and courteous and hard working. Joseph oversaw all the work and checked in with us daily. Weather put us a bit behind schedule but the delay was minor. We ended up spending just a little more than we had planned, but the professionalism, no pressure attitude, and quality of the work was well worth it. To this day, Joseph still fields questions from us regarding caring for our new pool. If I ever need another pool done, this is the company I will call.

Mark showed up to survey the project and next day emailed me a quote. I received another quote from a competitor and found them to be similar, so i chose BYPS, as they were rated highest on Angie's list. I purchased the GPC-25 pool cooler and had it delivered on my own. I emailed Mark to get on his list for the install. Mark gave me a date. The first date was delayed due to torrential rains - completely acceptable. His crew showed up the following day and completed the install in a fair amount of time. Their work was clean and did minimal damage to my property. Overall a flawless install. I highly recommend them for this sort of work.

The Backyard Pool personnel were terrific and responsive. The end result was outstanding. We had issues with the gunite contractor. He set up a big tub of water on our lawn when it could have been done on the driveway. It stained our grass and could have been avoided if they had just asked to use the driveway. They told us they didn't want to block the cars, but we had left town and didn't need to use the driveway. Poor communication on that part.

Backyard Pool Specialists charged a fair price. They would show up for their work on time. They would do the work satisfactory. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job. We are very pleased with the work they did. Their price is very reasonable. They had a very good design. They have good maintenance, they come when they say they will come. They show up weekly.

We can't say enough good things about Backyard Pool Specialists (BPS) and Mark Karolzak, one of the owners. As first-time pool owners (and obviously the first time having a pool built), we were unfamiliar with much of the terminology and the process of building a pool and all that it entails. From our first meeting with Mark, to the completion of the pool last weekend, every single aspect of the process was beyond our expectations. Mark and BPS delivered on everything they promised and in the timeframe they promised (28 days from "dig to swim" - actually it was 29 days, but we caused a 3 day delay to the schedule when we wanted some additional decking added, so they actually would have probably completed the pool in 26 days without that delay). They transformed our backyard into the backyard of our dreams - a tropical oasis that we actually enjoy spending time in. Mark personally oversaw the construction process, and every one of the subcontractors BPS used were professional, punctual, courteous, and extremely skilled at what they do. Mark kept us informed at every step of the process, about what the next part of the construction schedule entailed, and patiently answered (and continues to answer) every question we had and still continue to have, usually within 15 minutes after we send him an email. The quality of the workmanship is extraordinary, and there is not a single thing we would change about the pool and the design decisions we made. Mark was extremely helpful in guiding us in our design decisions, letting us make the decisions but offering his insight and expertise gained from his over 20 years of experience in the pool building industry. And on top of all that, their price was the best price of the 5 pool companies we received bids from, and included more options than every other bid. Mark and BPS are professionals in the truest sense of the word, and you are doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't at least consider using them to build the backyard pool of your dreams.

Pool always looks great.

I contacted them and was told someone would call me back, but they didn't. After 5 days I had to call again and then they responded more quickly. They sent someone out for an initial inspection and to set up the day for servicing. Today was the first visit and the pool looks great!

They are the fourth pool company I got in the last five years and I got them two and a half years ago. They have been outstanding. They just do a fantastic job. They are reliable and they come when they say they are going to come. They have been more than fair in everything they have done. I pay them on a monthly basis for the chemicals and the weekly cleaning. If something is wrong they come out. They follow up and call back. The quality of work is good because everything has been fine. Their price is good because that is what everybody charges. I use them on a regular basis and I recommend them to other people because it is the first company we have used that has been consistently good.

Everything went well. I have had to call them to pay and have used my credit card over the phone. Rosanne, one of the owners, is always polite and easy to deal with. If anything else breaks in my pool, I am calling these guys.

They did pool maintenance.

They were fabulous. They came out quickly and did a great job. They were responsive to any questions and they were very sweet people which is important to me.

Our pool was a mess. I called the company, and they came out, and cleaned my pool. We use them regularly now. They also add the chemicals the pool needs. They are very professional, efficient, and show up in an orderly fashion.

They did a good job, although they didn't communicate well with each other. The customer service was not good. They were supposed to come fix some color spots in the pool, but it's been four months and they still haven't returned. Plus I was suppose to get a fee for referring them to others, but they never paid. The work is beautiful. They beat out 5 quotes from other pool companies.
