Two workers showed up unannounced. Dug large hole near water supply for sprinklers but didn't find a leak. Tested sprinkler and saw it was hitting the window. Surmised that that was causing the 10' diameter wet area and advised that we get someone to adjust the sprinkler head. For the amount that they charged me they should have adjusted it too.

I expected an all day job with my water shut off but it only took about 4 hours and water was shut off only about a hour of that. I was up dated as things progressed. Very nice people as well. He said it was normally a 900 dollar job depending on the problems they run into. I had to pay for the additional work of tearing out the brick where the new line had to tap into the old.
Description of Work: Used a leak detector to find a leak and dug it out and repaired it. The leak was under the foundation but the contractor exposed the feed line from the city meter and then installed another feed line to the house completely bypassing the leak.

Description of Work: The only concern is that they should list their hourly rate on their ad on Angie's list of $165.00 an hour. They completed the work in about half an hour. The fee was still the same.

Out of 5 plumbing providers I emailed via Angie's List message center he was the only one who replied. He replied promptly, was polite and offered service for his next available time slot. He came did the requested work, was polite and professional and the price was very reasonable! I would definitely hire again!

Description of Work: Overall, my dirty windows were improved. The 2 man crew was punctual, pleasant and polite. They worked hard and did their best. Unfortunately, they were not professional window cleaners, but 2 guys with some spray bottles and cloths. I had to follow behind them on every window to get them to do touchups. The screens could have been cleaned better. And they were pressured and in a hurry because the previous customer had called for them to return and get the job right. Again, the windows were improved but not to the standard I expected.

I had the owner of Accurate Plumbing come to my home to find where a leak was coming from. Turned out it was not a plumbing issue, but he gave me ideas and suggestions on what to tell my HVAC provider. |When he was leaving, I asked how much I owed him for coming out and he didn't charge me anything.|I find Accurate Plumbing to be reliable and honest. I have used them before and I will use them again.

It went very well! I have had previous experience with this company after I had my foundation worked on and some leaks under the house were taken care of by them. They are totally honest and tell you what you need to take care of immediately and what you can wait on. On this occasion, an improperly installed water line was disconnected and new line run through attic and through wall to newly installed valve/housing behind fridge. Installed my previously purchased water filter and then hooked up my ice maker. Gave me advice on how to more easily change out my water filter in the future (i.e., relieve pressure that makes it hard to unscrew the housing). Left the trim piece cover for me to have placed after I arranged the repair of the drywall that they had to break through. Everything they were going to do was explained in full detail. Will definitely use them again and I plan to.
Description of Work: Disconnected improper water line (that was running outside the wall behind a washer/dryer) and installed new proper line for refrigerator ice maker.

I prefer not to say the name of the actual person with whom I "worked" with, but needless to say, we would not recommend them to anyone. Task: We had requested a hydro static test be completed on a property we have since purchased. Situation: The plumber would meet me at the property at apprx 1:30 PM on a Friday afternoon. I was late to the property to meet the Realtor and the plumber due to my flight, but I received a call form the plumber himself, as I was driving to the location to meet them. The plumber told me that he could not find the "clean outs" and therefore could not run the hydro static test. I told him I was generally not well versed in plumbing related inspections and wanted to know what that meant - I did know that I had a clean out in my current house and they are normally located in the front, potentially in the garden beds hidden. The plumber told me that he could not find the clean out(s) and there was no way that he could run the test, but that he would send me a quote to install clean outs that would enable him to run the hydro static test (~$1000 USD). I asked him if there were any other tests that could help us determine if there would be potential issues with the plumbing and he said the hyrdro static was the best way to test this - he never mentioned other options to include running a camera, or even working another hydro static test through the plumbing upstairs, etc. I got off the phone with the plumber, who had immediately send me a quote for all the "work" he spoke about, and immediately contacted my Realtor and a contractor. After consulting them (~10 minutes) I made several attempts to get in touch with the plumber to have him run a camera or run the HS test through the upstairs plumbing - but his cell phone (on which I had just spoken with him) only went voice mail. I even contacted their main office who told me that he would call me back. But he never did. Overall Impression: I would not recommend Accurate Plumbing; if you have had work done by them, I understand they are pretty good - but our experience was something that I will never repeat and DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. I later went to the property and found the "clean outs" located near the kitchen and in the front yard.
Description of Work: They provide plumbing services in the Houston area; we had contacted this company based on a recommendation from a PE to help us with a hydro static test during the option period.

Response from Accurate Plumbing and Leak Detection
In response to this complaint I am the plumber and did speak to the client first hand on site. To begin I wish to state my objections to any service which allows anyone to post negative statements which can have a effect on a business and allow the public to see prior to a response (as I understand this to be the case). The client was given a price to perform an underslab drain hydrostatic test, the price was based on the home having a readily accessible clean out on the main sewer, additional systems were also quoted again with readily accessible clean outs. I met the selling agent (as she presented herself) at the home and both she and I looked for the main sewer clean out. There is a wall kitchen clean out but this is not the proper size inlet. I want to now state that the client admits to not having knowledge on plumbing inspections. The selling agent called various people on the seller side to see if a clean out was available to us and none could produce the location. All homes are different and given that the client was not the property owner I called him to inform him of the situation and that there may be additional charges in order for us to do this test. I did inform him of the use of a camera for locating purposes and if a clean out is not present then we would have to install one. I did state that I prefer to do the test properly to insure the results as opposed to taking another route which may not produce a reliable result. Since he did not own the property I was not at liberty to go probing around and took the safe route to avoid having the actual property owners claim I caused damage or some similar thing. After some conversation on testing and the high standard I set for conducting a proper test the client requested we send a proposal which we did. At no time did I demand a payment and to my knowledge we did not send any invoice and again to my knowledge we did not collect any money from the client. I am a Responsible Master Plumber in Texas and have been involved in testing for 20 plus years, my service is sought out as an expert witness by engineers and attorneys from Houston to Dallas, I feel my credentials speak for themselves. there is a lot of misinformation on under slab testing floating around and it is common for people involved for the first time with this work to be told things from people not in a professional capacity. As for the calls made to me shortly after our conversation I cannot be responsible for how my cell phone acts and further the client had the option to text which is universally understood as being more reliable. As for the call to the office and no reply, all calls are logged into the call book and at the time of this writing we have not found evidence of the call. I do not know why the client felt compelled to make this complaint as no harm was done to the client unless he intentionally is attempting to slander my good name and reputation and to keep business from me. I am even more shocked that this "service" supports uninvestigated slander prior to a proper investigation. Be advised that my company will not tolerate such negligent action from an individual or organization. I have rights against false claims and I will use those rights to protect the company. I am in demand for a full publicly posted apology from the client and from this service pointing out the carelessness and obvious intent to prevent me from conducting my business in this free enterprise system. Should one or both parties fail to immediately meet my demand I will use my rights to protect my business. In closing I am disappointed in this process and the person who created this type of system should be ashamed for allowing people they do not know to post remarks which would prevent an honest business from acquiring new clients. I strongly request a person of high standing in this organization call me immediately to attempt and salvage some respectability on this organizations part. Andrew J.
