Cory's Lawn & Landscape

We found Cory's Lawn service online. It was one of the best decisions we have made about lawn care! We had lost our grass. We had new soil and grass installed in the front and back. It began to grow quickly and is beautiful! Thanks, Cory for the one-on-one attention, regular mowing, and landscape advice. We are happy to have a beautiful lawn at a reasonable cost.

We called him on December 17th and he came out on December 22nd. We told him he could back after his vacation to do the job but he insisted on doing the job before he left. He personally came out to supervise.and they did the job in about 4 hours which was no easy feat. He was very friendly and professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone that wanted lawn maintenance.

Last year I had to find a new company to take care of our lawn needs after my long time company owner retired.I went through one company and they just were not showing up.I looked here and found and contacted Cory whom came out that evening to give me an estimate.We walked the lawn,we talked about a lot of things,I did tell about my military career along with things that now keep me from being able to do this work anymore,Cory was very nice as he thanked me for my service and offered to take care of our lawn at a discounted price.This meant a lot to me,that I could tell he meant what he said.We had a good relationship last year and for most of this year.Our lawn has never been cut with anything other than a self propelled regular walk behind mower in the 15 years we have lived here and that is what Cory used until his last few cuttings and that is when my wife and I started noticing a difference.The grass,which is Bermuda,was being cut much higher with a lot of cuttings being left behind.Not to mention that after two days the grass looked like it had not been cut.He started using a different type of mower and the results were not good even though he insisted he has never had any complaints about it from other customers.When I went to talk to him about it he got very defensive and mad.I did not mean for him to get upset I only brought up a concern.He told me for the price he could not use the smaller walk behind mower and what the new price would have to be.I told him I understood and would have to talk to my wife about it.This got him madder and said do not worry that he would not charge for this cut which was only part of the front yard and one pass in the back.I did tell him I would go ahead and pay him and he said"to do what ever" I wanted.He then blew off the driveway and left.He did not trim the front or finish cutting the back.I got highly upset that he didn't finished the front or the back and decided not to pay for this incomplete cut and deducted it from my bill.He called and we had a nasty conversation. In order to end the conversation I agreed to pay for the unfinished job.We sent the payment today but have been receiving numerous phone calls threatening to send it to a collections agency.Bottom line he did not finish the yard but we still payed him.I was always nice and patient with him.I do thank them for the deal they gave us but I learned in my 58 years to never trust a deal.You almost always get what you pay for.This is the first time I have ever written a negative review on anything or anyone.

Initially contacted Cory about mowing my yard on a regular basis. He agreed and gave me a price for the services. I accepted and he said he would come the following week to mow. He asked me to text him my address which I did on Mat 1. He was to come on May 7th. He did not show. This was prior to all the rain and the ground was dry enough to mow. I tried calling that afternoon twice and sent another text message. No response. I tried calling the next day and again sent a text message and no response. No way to conduct business.

Called Cory and his wife 2 weeks ago and talked to his wife, who is very nice and respectful. She sent Cory out that night, met with Cory,I talked for quit a wile with Cory and getting to know each other before he even walked the yard and gave me a bid! Cory is a very honest and willing to go the extra mile to satisfy his customer. He is always on time. I always get a phone call from Cory or his wife the day before they come. My old landscaper that worked for me whom i used for a few years retired 2 years ago and ive had a hard time finding a replacement of his quality. Cory has filled this need for me and more! I highly recommend Cory and his landscape services. Thank you very much Cory for your thoughtfulness and wonderful job you do for my family and I. Jim M.

They were able to do the work before the promised date which was great. Took care in doing all the work. Used a generous amount of mulch. All work was done well and as requested. They were responsive and professional in all communications.

I've had a company treating my lawn for the last 3 years. Even had a sprinkler system installed to ensure full water coverage, but I still had weeds that looked like cabbages growing and the way my lawn was looking in late winter, I decided to give Cory a try. He was on-time for our first meeting, very knowledgable, and passionate about what he does. He walked my lawn and pointed out several areas of concern, told me about the winter rye that was dominating my lawn, and why, and recommend a first treatment to try to get my stressed burmuda grass back to fighting the rye grass form. I did tell him about the previous company and that I had to fire them, and he stated he felt confident that with some time, he can get my lawn in good shape. So far he has done 2 treatments, and even though the costs per treatment was higher, if I will eventually see a positive result, then the cost will be worth it. And since he is a small independant vs the big companies, I feel my lawn will get the individual service and attention it requires vs a one size fits all way of doing business. Time will tell how he does, but I feel I've made the right choice.

I,m hoping that this is the same Cory because he lived in the neighborhood and moved to another area in Fort Worth, Tx. September 2013. If so he is excellent in lawn care. No complaints at all.

Awesome couple, Awesome business, Awesome prices, Awesome service, I mean seriously I cant say enough good things about Cory and Alyssa!!!!

I spoke with him and he said he would return my call but I never heard from him.

Cory and Alyssa are wonderful. Very professional, reasonable and they care about their customers and the service they provide. We recommend them to everyone wanting a monthly lawn maintenance company that does what they say and you speak to a human every time you call. No excuses, just great work! We find the cost VERY reasonable as our home sits on two lots. They also do Christmas lights that are custum made for your home in the color or colors you want. If you are a regular customer they let you add the fee into you monthly lawn maintenance fee (Jan-Oct) as to not have to pay that all at the biggest spending time of the year. We chose to pay it up front for our first year as the cost of the custom lights was included. This year we are breaking the fee into our January thru October monthly payments. If we want to change the color of the lights all we do is let them know and we pay for the bulbs only. When November comes the lights and wreaths go up and no check to write. They even offer to store your lights if needed for use next year. Again, just great people doing a great job!!

We had enormous flower beds that were overgrown with original ornamental grasses, shrubes and rose bushes. Cory pulled some bushes, removed and replaced edging to make the beds smaller and more manageable and more attractive and then planted St Augastine grass between the beds and the sidewalk creating a park like setting surrounding my front door. It looks fantastic! He also put down all new mulch, trimmed a cedar tree that had branches laying on the ground, mowed the entire 1 acre lot and treated the beds with weed killer. The entire yard looks so much nicer, we gets tons of compliments. We will use Cory again.

. I have used Cory and Alyssa for about three years. They call and let us know when they are on their way so our crazy dogs are safe in the house. We let them know in the beginning that they were the experts and wanted the lawn taken care of, they have exceded all expectations. I would recommend them to any and all who ask for their contact information.

Cory and Alyssa did an extraordinary job. Our property is not an easy job to do. With multiple levels and a pool to get around , it is a tough job. But Alyssa and Cory mowed ,edged and cleaned off beautifully. With minimum debris in the pool.That is a difficult thing to pull off. This is the first time in fifteen years that I am completely satisfied and thrilled with my Lawncare company. They are REMARKABLE ! Thank you Angies list. Extremely pleased with quality of service.

Cory came out same day as I called Very nice and professional. Gave me a price but due to other's that I got estimate chose to go with different company. it was only a price factor...I have no doubt he would do a very good job from all the reviews.. The price was not unreasonable just found one that was a little less expensive.

I have used Cory and Alyssa ongoing for over a year. They have been communicative and professional. I explained to them form the beginning htat I didn't care about having teh best looking lawn on the street, but I simply wanted it well kept. They have exceeded all expecatations! I wish all my neighbors used Cory's lawn and landscaping. When he trimmed my shrubs, he removed all debris and they still look good after many months. I would recommend them to anyone as they have continued to exceed all expectations.

Cory's operation is a small family-run business. He is reliable, friendly and reasonable in pricing. One yard looked great this year and we will certainly use Cory in the future.

They are a great company. I called and talked with a nice lady about my situation. We set up a time on a Sunday for Corey to come out and take a look at my lawn and give me a price to cut and trim everything. I have a large yard and I had neglected to cut it for about a month. He looked it over and took everything into consideration and gave me a good price. The crew came on the day he promised and they did an amazing job. My wife and I are more than pleased! They put in real effort and the outcome is clear. I have agreed to do bi-weekly service and I am confident they will keep the lawn looking great.

Disappointed. He did not want to recommend plantings for me to do. I'd called for estimate for cutting down trumpet vine also. Said couldn't: electric co. would have to trim shrub & vine: "within 10' of power line". (They are in telephone line, 10' away from upper electric line.) Best offer was to spray & kill both shrub and vine,---- after power co. trimmed shrubs.

We have called Cory twice for an estimate for a rental property in Ft Worth. Both times Cory did not come back quickly with an estimate and was more than others we called. This past time Cory said he would get back with us on Friday with a quote but could put us on the schedule for Wed. We did not hear back from him. So, we called him on Saturday to ask if he had a quote. He said he would give us one on Monday. We were able to get a quote from another Angie's list lawn service person who said they could come out on Tuesday and for a lower price. When I called to let Cory know that we scheduled with someone else because we had not heard back from him in a timely fashion, he called me back and told me to never call him for a quote again. So, basically he was mad at me for him not calling when he was supposed to, me having to ask him if he was going to give me a quote, then going with someone else who was less expensive and worked better in our schedule. Don't worry..we won't call again.

.He is very honest, hard working and thorough. If we have a problem he sends someone out right away.

He is a very nice gentleman and very easy to work with. He always calls before he comes in and he always works with us on setting up dates. He does the job and he does it well.

I used him for about a month but I stopped because I'm not sure he can provide the lawn services I need beyond the grass trimming. I paid him $125 for a month. The price was reasonable but you get what you pay for. It was just basic lawn services. I thought it would have been more comprehensive because when we met, I told him what I wanted. I didn't think he had the capabilities to be able to deliver it. He is a wonderful human being and he was very, very nice. He did a good job of cutting, but that was about it. The cleanup was good.
