Description of Work: Contracted to do full heating and air conditioning upgrade to my daughter's house in Corsicana, TX. They also made many structural repairs and upgrades, roof repairs, installed insulation, etc.

+ -1 moreI wish we could give A+'s!!! Doug is the kind of man you can depend on in a pinch! He always answers his phone, and trust me, I called him at least once everyday and towards the end, I was calling 6 or 7 times, bless him! If he missed the call due to spotty cell coverage, he called back within the hour, letting me know he missed the call and how could he help. I wish there were more contractors out there like Doug! He delivers on his promises, and was always kind and professional. This week, he not only replaced our A/C, but fixed our neighbors. It's good to know he's there if we ever have a problem again. We will definitely request him!
Description of Work: On 8/25, our A/C unit in Eustace, TX went out after 25 years of faithful service. American Home Shield assigned Texas Gold to our claim and they sent Doug Hass to check out the issue. He arrived the next day, which with these 100+ degree temps and the high volume of calls was speedy. He declared it DOA and said it was time for a new unit. AHS ordered a new unit from their national supplier, Carrier. They said it shipped on 8/27, and would arrive on 9/1. I called daily to confirm everything was okay with the shipment and that Doug would be able to get it installed when it arrived. We had family coming in from Oregon and parents, and grandparents coming out for a grand holiday weekend. Doug assured me that as soon as it arrived, he would get it installed the same day, no matter how long it took. Well, 9/1 came and no A/C unit. AHS could not start tracking it until it was late, which is completely silly. They found that it did not ship on 8/27, but instead was shipped out on 9/1! Oh No!!! We're melting!!! I spent two hours on the phone with AHS and they promised to call me back by 11:30a 9/2 with an update. They called at 11:00a to let me know they had a unit that would be delivered between 2:00-3:30p on 9/2! In the meantime, I had been on the phone with Doug Hass and he found a unit in case they were not able to get one shipped in time for this weekend. Which is definitely how it sounded it would be the night before. I let him know the new delivery ETA and he assured me that IF it arrived, he would get it installed. Well, he had it done 4:00pm on 9//2 before the big weekend!!!!
