Description of Work: We visited, picked up some product. Employee seemed reasonably knowledgeable. Most items are pricey, but you usually get what you pay for. They are our primary source for plants and bug fighting chemicals.

Description of Work: I just bought some plants and fertilizer from them. They were very friendly and helpful. I love to go there because they have such beautiful products and are so friendly.

Description of Work: used a Turners landscape designer for landscaping and putting in a veggie garden. Went pretty well, although the designer failed to follow up with me as she had said she would - even after several calls from me. She also was to replace several plants and never did.

Description of Work: Asked for an estimate to have our backyard re-sodded and gave a price range for the job. What we got in return was a complete landscaping makeover of the entire yard in the plans that we did not want. When we told them to reduce the landscaping and give us an estimate it came to over $23,000. All the charges were overpriced and not even close to what we had asked in the estimate. We finally did get an estimate of about $7,000 to remove grass from the backyard, put in new soil and put in new grass to be completed in June. While the workers on site were very professional the overall landscape manager and supervisor was unprofessional and incompetent. First, he consistently failed to communicate with the work crews completing the work so they were not sure when items were to be delivered or in what size vehicle. As a result, they took down almost an entire side of fencing to get a truck into the yard that was not needed. They did in fact put the fence up later after getting numerous scrapes in dents in it. Also, the landscaper manager failed to take accurate measurements for the lawn and ordered only enough grass to cover half of the yard so a week went by with the other half not done and an additional cost of $1000. We would have gone with a lower bid had we known this. Finally, even after we marked where the irrigation valves and heads were located a number of these items were damaged due to people just failing to notice the flags and driving over items with heavy equipment. This damage cost us another $350 in repairs which Turner is not obligated to pay by contract as they state they are not responsible for this damage. Seems very unprofessional if they damage items then they should repair it. Overall, these folks were over priced and the "mangers" were lousy project managers with little field experience that really were unprofessional and lacked quality education and training. Also these same managers hired crews and then failed to provide safety information on heat injuries so we had one young adult nearly pass out from heat exhaustion. When I asked about this, they said they provide info to full time employees in weekly meetings but how hard would it be to provide just in time training or a safety brief each time a crew is going out to do work? Seemed to care less about employee health and welfare as well...
