TEMPCO A/C Inc

I am very pleased to be able to leave the highest praise for Tempco Air Conditioning in Corpus Christi. My central A/C had stopped cooling so I first called a different company, not Tempco and I don't want to say who, but that other company's technician, without doing any real investigation to try to find any leaks in the system, simply told me my unit was beyond repair and had to be totally replaced. Later I found out the cost would be over $6,000. I wanted a second opinion so I went on Nextdoor.com to ask for recommendations. A lady on Nextdoor.com recommended I call Tempco Air so I called them around 1 p.m.. About an hour later Brian, who is the owner's son, called me to say he was on his way. I cannot say enough good things about this technician and this company. Brian disassembled the outside unit, which the tech from the first company never bothered to do, and using a soap solution found a tiny leak in one of the copper tubes. Brian welded the leak shut and did a check to determine the weld was holding fast. He then used another instrument to put a vacuum on the freon lines to remove any traces of moisture. Then he recharged the system with the expensive R22 Freon for this 2007 model unit. It required a total of 7 3/4 lbs of Freon and had only 2 1/2 lbs. when he started. I have heard ridiculously high quotes for this Freon product from other A/C companies but Tempco's price was much, much lower. Brian also replaced an inline dryer which required two welds. The final bill was discounted for my being an AARP member. I won't say how much the bill was but it was significantly lower, by hundreds of dollars, than a competing quote. (Much lower than you might guess.) Tempco is a family business that you can trust to be competent and very, very reasonable in cost. Thanks, Brian and thanks Tempco!

TempCo A/C Inc. are the most wonderful company. They're so helpful. They show up when they say they're going to show up. They're on time. If they're running late, they let you know, so you're not sitting around waiting for them for hours. They're available on the weekends and they don't gouge you if they have to come out on the weekend, like some companies do.

They are just stellar. My AC broke down on a Sunday and they called me back within a half hour after I called. A technician showed up within an hour and told me what he thought was wrong and told me what to do. He came back the next day and did not charge me extra for coming on a Sunday. I have used him for several years and have recommended him to several people who all have been thrilled. I will use him again in the future.
