Description of Work: After he contracted the job, he did the foundation rough in plumbing efficiently and on time. The builder had paid him the total up front.. We had called him a total of 5 times and he didn't return calls and then would not show up until noon. He complained, because he wanted more money, but we told him he had been paid in full. He rented a backhoe to dig a sewer line and water line to the new house (which we paid extra for). He appeared at 12:30 PM and left at 5 PM (he damaged the backhoe and the repair charge is still pending on our charge card), The trench was dug but mounds of sand were everywhere. He showed up the next day and put the pipes in the trench but did not finish them so we could get inspection. He called again and wanted more money so we told him we would think about it. We have tried to contact him many times since then but he has not returned to finish the job.

Description of Work: Replaced my kitchen faucet and repaired my shower faucet.

Description of Work: Started out well. Rick is a very nice man, and came out quickly to give estimate. Called me to see if remodeling job was ready for his services, as I had given him a down payment. Came the first time as promised. Did maybe half of job. Promised me to come back the following day to clamp down some shower pipes and remove the old water heater. I paid him another portion, totaling 1700 of 2400 job. I spoke to him twice after that on the phone. Each time he set up a time to meet me on the jobsite, but did not show up. I haven't heard from him since. I had to hire another plumber to finish his job. Never gave me an explanation.

Description of Work: Rick had to install a new pvc line for our second bathroom. The old cast iron pipe was broken. He also had to completely rebuild everything under the toilet and install a new toilet. He and his cousin worked all day long digging to get under the house and complete the work.

Description of Work: I contact Mr. Downie after reading reviews on angie's list. The reviews are all good as of this date and I suerly can see why. My experiance with Mr Downie was like back in the days when people where earnest and fair. The job he completed for me was done professionally and on time.

Description of Work: Called Rick for an estimate to replace my main line shutoff valve and house bib. Rick came right out and gave me the estimate and said he would be out the next day at noon. At 1:00 PM he called and said he could not make it that he was tied up with another job. Since it was not an emergency on my part i said no problem. Rick showed up the next day and not only replaced the 2 shutoff valves but he also fixed a small water leak that was under ground at the 90 degree elbow, all within the quote he gave me. I am very pleased with the work he performed and will use Rick as my primary Plumber in the furture. By the way Rick's quote for this job was half of what the other company quoted and they didnt even come out to look at the job. Very pleased with Ricks work.

Description of Work: The drain from the washing machine was clogged and he repaired it.
