I am a Home warranty customer that was assigned Pacesetter Pools as a contractor to fix the issues that were happening with my pool. My cost was just $55.00 due to the fact that I pay a monthly fee for the warranty insurance. To start with it took Pacesetter about five days to contact me regarding the situation. Then it took almost two weeks to get a routine part to fix my problem. During this time communication was terrible to say the least. Pacesetter only uses subcontractors to do their work in order to not pay any kind of benefits to their employees. The subcontractor that came to my house was obviously very disillusioned with the company as he bashed them throughout the first visit. Right now I am waiting to see when they are going to finish fixing my pool, there is a green tint that is starting to show and that is not good. I know this service isn't complete yet but I wanted to let Angie's list customers know that Pacesetter Pools is a company that is not to be used if one has other options!
Description of Work: First visit they diagnosed that my pump was not working properly and would have to be replaced. Almost two weeks later they showed up and replaced the pump. At this time he noticed that the valve on my sand filter was broken and spewing water. He should have noticed this and ordered or found part at the same time or sooner than pump. He told me that he would get the part on his own so that we wouldn't have to wait another two weeks. This was last thursday. He said that he would be back this past Saturday at the latest to finish the job. I received no call or attempt to finish the job and today is Monday. I have gotten back in touch with my home warranty company and they are following up in order to get the job completed.

Service was adequate, when we actually received service. Maintenance person rarely showed up weekly; pool has gone green this summer for the third time in two months (one time was just before my daughter's graduation party weekend). Each time it has happened, they flock the pool and make it right, then return to the same pattern of neglectful service. Office manager is completely unresponsive to complaints. Manager was shown pics of the pool in it's third green stage and promised to come out that day to take care of things. Didn't show and didn't call - completely typical. Unbelievably poor customer service. I couldn't possible recommend this company for any pool work.
Description of Work: Pacesetter was hired to provide weekly pool maintenance (baskets, backwash, brushing, chemical balance, etc.). We provided chemicals.
