Buyer Beware!!! Am not sure about exact date or price. I expect I underestimated cost since it is all in with my Dad's paperwork, but when I contacted them regarding my very serious concerns they said it had been, I believe, 3 year to 4 years! Even if it had been 5 years it would have been unacceptable. Very cordial and most impressive INITIAL impression, relatively expensive and floors appeared overall beautiful to START!. After completion of the job I had resigned myself to accepting, what I had considered, minor initial PROBLEMS with the grouting in the bathroom not actually coming up to the walls and filled with approximately 1/2 inch of grouting and some clicking under the tiles, but due to my father's illness, age and disability, I decided to just let it go so as to not inconvenience him any more than I had in getting the job done from the first. Unfortunately after 3 years the flooring came up, BUCKLING in one large area and the grouting began spreading over the floor with big CHUNKS escaping from the seams. Anticipating the company would honor the obviously shoddy installation, I called, the owner came out and I was informed that the small area that had buckled might be repaired at no cost. I proceeded to walk throughout the dining room and kitchen area to give evidence to the definite hollow sounds coming from under most of the tiles throughout the entire 2 room open-floor area. Possible excuses rendered ranged from the foundation had most definitely shifted, that the house was not kept at a constant temperature conducive to avoiding the moisture build-up that was causal to the problem and finally that there was a specific adhesive? or grouting? that I should have requested knowing the area climate conditions??? Interesting. How would one know this? I had initially resigned myself, due to "Gentleman" left the house after his review saying he would be back in touch. Got a call shortly thereafter indicating that it was now TOO LATE to assist me and I should have called during that first year if I thought I had a problem. I did call back expressing my concern of ethics and trust asking for a further consideration and a reply. No return phone call. So, on this note, if you only want a floor for 3 years, this company might be your choice. I am currently looking for another company to redo the whole job over again. As I said initially, BEWARE!!
Description of Work: Ceramic Tiling open area....kitchen, dining room, laundry room and 2 bathrooms were requested to be tiled by this company by my father. My recommendation would be to definitely avoid them as indicated below. I estimated day and cost above as my father has since passed away.

Ortega's bid was about in the middle, but this company was highly recommended by a friend. We purchased the tile from a different vendor & Ortega picked it up. They did the house in 2 segments, so that we could live in 1/2 of our house while they were tearing up & replacing flooring in the other half. The tearing up part was nasty work, and it left dust everywhere - which we were told to expect. We kept doors closed, and we covered furniture in the areas they were working on - furniture that they worked around, because it is big, heavy & bulky. Our new floor is beautiful and very beautifully put down - tiles level & well spaced. My only disappointment was that they said it would take 2 weeks, but it took 3. The delay was in their optimism about how quickly they could take up the very old laminate flooring. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.
