Last Minute Movers

Everyone I interacted with was very courteous and professional. The entire process was explained so the were no surprises. The moving crew worked quickly, but was very careful with my items. They were also very friendly and re-explained things just as had been done before booking them. The crew arrived on time and worked very efficiently. I would highly recommend them if you have items to move.

This is the 2nd time we have used Last Minute Movers for our move on the island and we have never been disappointed!! A pleasure to deal with their office (Karen is very nice and followed-up with confirmations); also, no issues with changing moving dates at the last minute either. Their teams are consistently well-mannered, polite and professional young men. They did a great job packing and loading/unloading the truck efficiently - absolutely no damages. They worked like a well orchestrated team and we enjoyed their company as well. Thank you & blessings to Martin, Paco & Patrick (2016 Team) & Adrian, Isidro & Joe (2017 Team). Highly recommended.

They arrived on time at house #1. They loaded the truck quickly and we left for new house. They didn't show up for 1 hour. They said they got lost but were drinking sodas and eating tacos from a local convenient store. I was charged a full hour for a trip that was 10 minute drive. The new house is on a street that is off Ocean. I explained to them the easiest way to get there was to go down ocean until they came to the very well known street. How lost can you get in Corpus Christi if u can't find ocean? They put a hole in King size headboard and knocked a filial off an antique mirror. They showed me the damaged headboard but I found the missing filial in the yard. I spoke with the dispatcher/ owner while men were still present about the damage. After that day I never heard from them again. They wouldn't answer my phone calls and after a couple of months I gave up trying. I never was compensated for damaged items even though I signed paperwork for insurance.

I was told the cost of service was $75.00 per hour. I was not informed that included a percentage of gas fee or that they charge you to and from their "shop." I was told they would call before their arrival. They did not and they were 20 minutes late. They only sent 3 people to move a 1600sq ft house and they took their time...stopping for periodic breaks. I kept seeing one of them standing around from time to time apparently texting periodically during the 5 hours it took them to move us to and from. They didn't come prepared with water so when they loaded up and set off for the new house we were moving to they asked if they could stop and get water. Of course that was fine as it was hot outside and they were doing physical labor. However it took them an hour to do that and drive to the new house to unload. It was only 6 miles...in which they got lost. I was still billed for all this time. When I had originally called the company to make arraingments, I gave all my information including address moving to. The movers that showed up had no idea what it was as that information had never been relayed to them. I would highly recommend going with the Pena Brothers. They have a negative rating on here for some reason. I don't know why that is because I have used them several times and they have always been punctual, careful, professional and quick. I would have gone with them however they were not available the date of my move. I would not recommend Last Minute Movers.

This is my 3rd time to use them, and they have been very good each time. They are punctual, which is good as we were a 5 pm loadup, and it was the end of their day. They worked so hard, and it was nearly 100F outside. They took great care in wrapping our breakfronts, the dining table, etc. They loaded up the truck and honestly, it looked like a "photo". The one mover helped with one of my former moves. I used another company last move, which I dearly regretted, and Last Minute came to my rescue after the other company couldn't move everything in one move (they van's only go so large, strange thing for movers!!!!!!) and I remembered and called Last Minute and my move was finished with an easy, good experience. They are the first I call this time. I have one more load up and move after I close on my new house in Kerrville.

I moved from Floresville, Texas to Ingleside, Texas. Since I had not purchased my current home, my furniture had to go into storage. The original movers was Payless Movers of Corpus Christi, TX. When removing some items from the storage units, I noticed that several pieces of furniture had been damaged during the move from my last home to the storage unit. Not only had some of the furniture been damaged, a brand new TV that was still boxed was missing altogether. With this in mind, I decided to NOT use the same company when it came time to move all my furniture from storage to my present home. After getting price quotes from several movers, I used Last Minute Movers to complete the move. I found that their price was in line with other moving companies that I had contacted. I was very impressed with the work that Last Minute Movers provided.

The movers were on time and very courteous. Explained the move and the cost of $75.00/ hour and gas cost. What I did not expect was the time they charge me for their getting lost because their GPS broke according to them(an hour and a half). The truck they provided for the move was too small to get all my household items in. I wound up having to make a trip back to Corpus Christi to finish the move. While I made the trip back to C.C. the movers move my household into an apartment. . They (the movers) proceeded to placing thing in the middle of rooms and moving about the apartment nearly impossible. There was no attempt to stack or arrange boxes in any order to accommodate the in coming items. Finally with things in disarray the movers asked my wife if saw any damaged item that she would like to make a claim against the company. She was told once they left the company would not be responsible for any damages found. It took me the better part of a day to start to organize things so we could move around. I soon discovered many scratched items, okay I was expecting some of those. The broke antique dresser was place in a manner which looked in good order, the broken knob on the dryer turned out to be a broken electrical panel behind the knob a very expensive fix. They had quoted me$750.00 to $950.00 and their overall final charge was nowhere near their estimate.

.They were half the cost of other services and did a good job. We had some miscommunication so they did not know what the size of the job was, however, they did the job despite the issue.
