Description of Work: Took my feeble design for a brick BBQ/smoker and made it happen!

Description of Work: REPOINT BRICKS. |HE SAID HE UNDERBID THE JOB AT 650.00 I AGREED TO PAY AN EXTRA 100.00 TO COMPLETE THE BACK OF THE HOUSE. HE COMPLETED THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND ASKED TO BE PAID 600.00 FOR EXPENCES. I AGREED AND HE SAID HE WOULD RETURN LATER THAT WEEK TO FINISH THE BACK OF THE HOUSE FOR THE ADDITIONAL 150.00 AS AGREED. I CALLED HIM TWICE AND HE WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS. I GAVE HIM MANY CHANCES TO COMPLY, BUT HE WILL NOT. I RECOMEND HE BE REMOVED FROM ANGIES LIST DUE TO HIS DISHONEST WORK ETHIC. IT IS REALLY SAD, BECAUSE THE WORK HE DID ACCOMPLISH WAS TRULY ACCEPTABLE. I WILL NEVER PAY ANY CONTRACTOR AGAIN UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE.IF THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO A PARTICULR CONTRACTOR, THEN I WILL FIND A REPUTABLE ONE TO DO THE WORK.

Description of Work: Trying to get a hold of Mr. Aguilar was the biggest hurdle. When he would answer the phone and set an appointment, he wouldn't keep it. He kept saying that he had a large job that he needed to finish. (He reset the appointment three times) |Once he did finally show up, he acted like he really didn't want to be there. But, the work itself was excellent. He built one of two brick columns that I needed in the backyard patio. |After completely the first column, he said that he was tired and would come back in two days to finish the second column. That turned into a month and, after me calling him several times, he wound up sending his "retired" brother to do the second column. The work was great but, trying to get him there and to complete the job was tasking. I am guessing that the job was too small for him and not profitable enough. |On a positive note, the columns look great! FINALLY!

Description of Work: Rebuilt Firebox in Fireplace and replace damper.

Description of Work: Some idiot driver hit my brick mailbox and whacked it off its foundation and caused it to tilt over at a steep angle. So I called Julian and left him a VM. He called me a little later on, and we set up a mutually convenient time for him to come over to my house in a couple days to check out the damage and give me an estimate to repair the damage. He came out as planned and reviewed the damage. He said he would be able to upright the entire brick structure and re-cement and re-level it to the base and brush out a few the few bumper marks made to some of the bricks so that it would look as if nothing happened to it. He quoted me a price of $200 to do the work and I immediately agreed and we set up a time for him to come out the following day to do the work.

Description of Work: He re- bricked a wall 28 feet long by about 18 feet high.

Description of Work: Julian Aguilar has completed two CMU privacy wall/fences for me in the last 6 months. He arrived when promised, had all necessary tools, and did a fantastic job. The first wall was over 50' long and 6 feet tall, and included the foundation beam and rebar installation. His crew completed this work in short order. The wall was straight, and the cost was exactly as bid. I brought him back to complete another wall on the other side of the house. This wall was about 25 feet long. This work was completed in one day, and was straight, level and plumb. I recommend Julian. He has years of experience, and is very nice to work with. He is polite, and does what he says he will do for the price he quotes, and cleans up after the work is finished.
