Description of Work: Took lawnmower (21" push type) in for service, had it for two or three weeks, picked it up, used it twice and had to bring it back. It was running poorly and quitting so much it was unusable. When I complained about the previous service I was told the lawnmower was junk and was worn out!?! The lawn mower at that time was three or four years old. My previous mower lasted 30 years! I asked why they didn't tell me that two weeks ago when I was charged $84 for repairs? The "mechanic" and the counter person were both rude and obnoxious. I gave the mower to my neighbor's lawn man who fixed it properly and has been using it 5 or 6 days per week for several years now. |I would not ever use them for lawn mower service or repair again.

+ -1 moreScrew me once shame on you, they'll never get another chance!!!
Description of Work: Took my new Husqvarna chain saw in to be worked on. I thought the bar was bent. (Not a chain saw person). Turned out I don't know how to put a chain on. They put a new chain on and charged me $35 for a chain that cost $12.86 at the Home Depot. They charge another $35 to put it on.

+ -1 moreIt went bad, no one accepted reponsiblity, and Toro told me to take the mower to San Antonio, Texas so another dealer could look at the mower and give them their opinion at my cost and time. I put a new crank shaft in the Toro mower and sold it, then purchased a Snapper Mower which works still today. Turf and Irritation was bad then and is still bad today, the Johnson family are from Corpus.
Description of Work: The service department took in my brand new Toro 21 Inch Mower and used a screw driver and hammer to pull the fly wheel, so they could replace the half circle keys that are designed to shear when you hit something solid with the mower. Turf and Irritation stripped the threads on the crank shaft, a very expensive part to relace, thus ruined the mower.

lawn mower repair
+ -1 moreI bought in on Monday and they had it ready yesterday afternoon so they were very quick. I just picked it up today and I haven't tested it yet. The price was reasonable.
Description of Work: I used Johnson's Turf & Irrigation Hardware to repair my lawnmower. It was dead, so they cleaned it up, filled the gas up and replaced the carburetor.

+ -1 moreThey speak both English and Spanish so no problem. Personal and nice service. They've been in CC for about 40 years so nice to buy local and keep the money in town. Equipment purchased already put together and serviced, not in boxes.
Description of Work: Got my mower running first rate. I didn't purchase it there, but next time I am. They are great and their prices are competitive and if you purchase mower there, if problems, you get moved to front of the line.
