Haynie Construction LLC

We used Haynie Construction to remodel our kitchen. What started out as a great experience went south quickly. He raked us across the coals with inflated costs, worked minimal hours (himself, his guys were always on time and worked hard), and what was supposed to be a four week job took 12+. Around week 6, we started to balk at the payments he was requesting and so the quality of work and number of hours worked started to suffer terribly. Our new kitchen floor is uneven, the backsplash looks terrible, (he calls himself a tile guy) and then he completely quit. He went as far as to tell my husband that he hated caulking and so he never learned to do it and so my husband had to do all of the caulking including caulking the HUGE gaps he left in the backsplash. What was supposed to be a dream kitchen is now a nightmare. We are also going to have someone come in and repaint the cabinets because they look so bad. I just wish he had told us the truth from the get go which was that he didn't have the skill set to do this job. Although, I'm not sure what skill set he does have. I feel cheated and am VERY disappointed to say the least.
