When I called to set up an appointment, one was scheduled quickly without any problems. The estimator came prepared with his equipment to evaluate the property. Was very knowledgeable about the situation and any potential issues. It was determined work would be needed and an appointment was made as soon as the estimate was received. Work crew showed up on time and worked throughout the day with no problem. Finished in two days as estimated. Site was cleaned up well and property was taken care of as if it was their own.

My home is 10 years old. The person from Eagle Foundation Repair who came out to provide the estimate for the foundation work was knowledgeable and polite, and spoke highly of the care his company would provide for my home and their work. But, be advised, the person they send to provide the estimate is not involved in the actual work. Here are a few examples of what I experienced during and after Eagle’s work on my foundation. You’ll want to read this review to the end. I was told they would replant any landscaping that had to be removed. Once they got started, I saw two of my bushes laying in the yard with no dirt around the root ball. I figured some loss was to be expected, but there was obviously no attempt to even try to save them. One of the bushes was poked back into the dirt when they finished, which was kind of an insult since it was already a goner – like maybe I wouldn’t know? All of the smaller vegetation was trampled. Again, somewhat to be expected but certainly not as described. To be fair, they did work around the largest bushes without pulling them up. The plastic landscaping border edging that was removed was not replaced, but instead just left pulled up and then covered over with dirt. No attempt to smooth the soil back out in the landscape beds. I did that myself (how I found my border edging again), along with other general cleanup. I was even told they would put the mulch back down. Didn’t really believe it when it was said but “LOL” after seeing the conditions left. They weren’t very good at aiming shovels. There are scars in the veneer of the sides of the foundation between the soil line and the brick. Fortunately, they didn’t chip any of the bricks. I understand digging is hard work, but the scarring is ugly (and unnecessary). There won’t be any difficulty locating where the pilings are in the future. Speaking of scars (and completely unnecessary), the clay soil in South Texas is bad about sticking to shovels, and they were beating their shovels against everything to get it off, including the trunks of my oak trees. Both now have scars in their trunks, and one has a gouge all the way through the bark to the base wood, exposing the inner trunk. I paid a lot for those beautiful trees, as well as having them professionally planted. Investing in a concrete saw would be a nice touch. If you’ve ever seen the irregular edges/holes that a jackhammer makes in concrete, you’ll appreciate the ugly patches that are left behind where the breakouts are done in the driveway. The foreman did his best to leave a smooth finish on the upper layer of cement, but starting with uniform cuts would have ended up looking a lot nicer. I asked several times if there would be a foreman onsite. The office knew this was important to me because I received a call the morning the job was to begin to let me know the foreman who was originally scheduled to be on the job would be working to finish a different job instead. They wanted to let me know the name of the foreman who would be replacing him, which I appreciated. The replacement foreman was polite, but I only saw him around about half the time. When they started pressing the piles, I could hear the hydraulic ram pumps running followed by a boom that shook the house each time. Once they finished pressing each set of piles, a second jack was used to raise the house so they could install shims between the foundation and the piles. The jack was then dropped, instead of slowly lowered, causing the foundation to slam down against the piles. A hydrostatic test of the plumbing the following day discovered I had a significant leak in at least one or more of the risers coming off the sewer main into the house. An inspection by a second plumbing company confirmed a break approximately 1 foot from the location of one of the piles in the drain connection to the guest bathroom. The repair required excavation under the house to access the damage and revealed a shiny new fracture in the PVC pipe right next to the piling they installed – and a $5,000 repair bill! (NOTE: Read the print in the foundation contract – they’re not responsible for any damage, including plumbing damage, regardless of cause. As an added bonus, the contract states that the warranty “SHALL BE NULL AND VOID IF: The foundation is undermined (i.e. excavations, etc.).” Clever. The plumbing company had to excavate under the house to repair the damage caused by the foundation work.) This is just what I can say I’ve seen in the short-term; will have to see what long-term effects of the work reveal. Eagle was one of two estimates I got for the foundation work. They were the lower of the two and had good reviews on Angie’s List, so I went with them. Wish I could have read this review rather than provide it. I spoke with Eagle about the plumbing damage and was basically reminded they pretty much have an “out” in the contract for everything unless you can prove negligence. Regardless of what they say upfront, in my opinion – based on my actual experience, they really don’t care about your home, their work or what it ultimately ends up costing you when they’re done. Just be aware of what to really expect.

I have delayed response to this message because trying to address all issues was draining me. We cannot make everyone happy no matter how hard we try. The main, most important issue here is - we have NOT voided warranty due to the drain line leak. Warranty would only void if the leak is not addressed in a timely manner. This would be conveyed to any of our customers that inquire on our procedure.

The garage and chimney were sinking and had to be lifted. They started the job exactly when they promised and got everything done in the time frame set. When they finished the foundation repair they packed the soil back, repaired the driveway and sidewalk where they had dug and cleaned everything up. I am very impressed with how they left my property, clean and neat. The crew were hard-working and professional and I couldn?t of ask for better service. If need to, I will be using them again? A great company with great people! They took care of the problem and our house is now level. I highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: Mr. Dean Johnson came to our home to give us a bid on foundation repair and took all the measurements of the house. He was very polite and courteous. He gave me an estimate that was fair and reasonable and said the work would take 2 days, so we went with him. I called the office to schedule the foundation repair and the office manager (Cricket) was very polite and helpful.

An inspector named Joseph Soto from Eagle Foundation inspected the foundation of our home to determine what type of repair was required. It's a pier and beam home. He inspected inside first then crawled under the house to complete his inspection. His assessment was that no work was needed and the foundation was fine. Music to my ears. I appreciate Mr. Soto's professionalism and honesty. Another inspector from a different company told us worked was needed to shore up the foundation and quoted a price of $1,400.00. Eagle Foundation didn't charge a fee for the free estimate.

The whole process was very professional. I used the company because several people from work suggested them. Se had been told they had no foundation problems so that led me to believe they are an honest company. The crew was on time and finished on te. They were courteous and I was surprised to see that they carefully dug up plants and replanted everything when they were finished. The job seems to be well done. I jave no issuea with doora or wimdows sticking and the price was reasonable

Initial work went well, however, clean up was non existent. Contacted office the day after work completed and noted the following : garden hoses left out in yard, coke/soda cans left strewn about yard, mud caked on all sidewalks-driveway- deck/patio. One of the cement patches filled into an area of the concrete slab sunk in the day after completion. This was also reported and they have yet to come out to review or repair . Crew broke one outdoor storm shudder. As stated , the office was contacted the day after repairs were completed and we were told a crew would come out to take care of the issues within a few days. It has now been 18 days with no action taken.

2/10/15 – I once heard, “every story has three sides” – Yours, mine and the truth. The truth here is, we forgot to return. Because of the constant drizzle after this job started, the mud (South Texas Clay) was everywhere. This job needed pressure washed – but the last thing this area needed right then (Thursday) was more water. It was agreed upon by all parties, the homeowner, the crew, and the office. The crew would return Monday for the final cleanup and the re-pouring of the concrete patch that had sunk. We did not return Monday. I can absolutely understand your stance and I apologize, we did not follow through on our promise. As un-professional as it sounds, we forgot. My commitment to the homeowner – My crew will be there in the morning, as agreed, to take care of the 3 outstanding issues we spoke about this morning. Please extend my apologies and appreciation to your grandchildren and son-in-law for taking such good care of you.

The best professional, technical support, attention to detail, timeliness, and quality of work performance I have had with a foundation repair and/or construction company in over 50 years of experience on numerous properties in several Texas locations (i.e.: Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston, Austin areas). My experience with Eagle goes back about a decade, and in every occasion, they have performed in an ethical, efficient and effective manner, providing superb and distinguished service and quality. At numerous times in the past ten years, I have asked Eagle to inspect and report on properties similar to this recent foundation repair, and in each and every case, including the most recent, Eagle has always provided me the most accurate, detailed and truthful reports and recommendations possible. Eagle's pricing and work for me has proved the best value and quality from any other company that I have experienced in the past. The employees and crews who have worked on this and other properties have proven to be trustful, ethical and professional. In all my experiences with Eagle, I have provided crews full access to furnished, high-end properties, often while occupants are absent from the home. As I inspected and checked on job progress, standards, and performance periodically though out the job, everything was always as it should be for top quality work -- materials and processes used were always the best by industry standards, their work was on schedule, and workers respected the property, its contents and environs. Their supervisors and workers demonstrated expertise and pride in what they did and the engineering provided a much sounder, stronger, and safer foundation than the home ever had. (It was built in 1935 and remodeled in the 1980s.) Eagle's clean-up of the job site after construction paid attention to detail, and when completed, provided a pristine curb appeal with the yard and environs perfectly policed. Anytime and any place in the future when I have requirements for foundation or other similar construction work, I will solicit Eagle's expertise first and foremost because they have earned my trust and respect and I value my relationship with them. I recommend them to all.

I got their contact from Angie's List. They initially came out and asked me for a $10 trip fee and then later changed it to a $50 trip fee. They also would not honor the Angie's List discount that they are offering on their Angie's List page. I asked to speak with the owner or supervisor, but I couldn't get past the receptionist. They treated me poorly over the phone.

2/2/15 Upon the Angie’s List alert, a call was made to [member] for further clarification. After listening to [member] concerns for over 20 minutes, it was determined we would not be able to assist [member] with his repair needs. [member] stated he had “marked” Eagle Foundations, Inc. off his prospective vendor list, along with one other foundation company and two roofing companies. We regret we were unable to help [member], however we agree it was not a good fit. The following complainant’s “misunderstandings” were addressed as best able: 1. Inspection fees changed from $10.00 to $50.00? a. Our inspections have always been free in Corpus Christi and our standard trip charge is either $50 or $100 for travel outside the Corpus Christi area. This charge is determined by the allotted appointment time(s) consumed by the drive or in areas where it is NOT likely foundation issues are present i.e. Flour Bluff or the Island We commit to our customers, we have emphasized our policy with our employees to ensure no future misunderstandings. b. NOTE: The “trip charge” fee is refunded back to the final invoice if the job is awarded to Eagle Foundations, Inc. by the paying party. 2. Honoring the Angie’s List agreed discount – This discount is offered as part of the contract price on a completed job, should we actually contract with an Angie’s List Customer. No signed contract by an Angie’s List customer – no discount given. 3. As far as speaking to a Supervisor or owner: We welcome all calls, compliments and complaints. a. Simply ask for: Crickett Enderle: Office Manager or Dean Johnson: Owner.

Dean was very professional and extremely informative. I have some hairline drywall cracks inside and a closet door that does not want to stay closed. He took the time to explain why I was seeing these issues. My house is a 1825 sq ft slab over grade rancher. 3 br 2 ba with an attached 2 1/2 car garage. Built in 1988 on the south side of Corpus. Birds are pecking at the mortar and making some of the bricks appear to be need some new mortar work. Dean referred a brick and masonry professional. I called him and set an appointment for early January. Dean referred a drywall company as well. I was impressed with Dean and his company. I would urge anyone considering foundation issues to call Dean and crew for a look before signing up with any other company. Thanks to Dean and Eagle Foundation. They saved me from spending thousands for unneeded repairs. Jerry Corpus Christi TX
Description of Work: Dean came over to evaluate my foundation at my request because I was seeing cracks in my mortar. Neighbors are seeing tile floors cracking and using some other less than professional repair companies. I wanted to be sure I did not have a bad experience as some of them did. Within a few day of contact Crickett called with an appointment date and time to evaluate our foundation and provide an estimate. Jacob arrived exactly on time and explained the plan that included his rendering a detailed drawing with suggested pier location shown. This was further developed after his consultation with other staff and this final drawing and estimate was e-mailed to me in a very timely manner. It showed 28 piers with 2 of them requiring breaking through concrete in the driveway and one in the patio. The work was to start the following week. The crew that carried out the work was very courteous and happy to explain the processes carried out during the 4 days necessary to complete the job. They were careful to try not to disturbed our very elaborate landscaping and removed two medium trees and re-planted them. (So far so good.) I was impressed with how little damage there was. Obviously we will need to re-sod a few areas which we expected. They cleaned up, poured replacement concrete and departed leaving me surprised at how quickly and non-invasive the process was. The office staff is incredibly courteous and efficient. I called to inquire as to an invoice for the final payment and was told ?We will not invoice you until we are finished ?and you still have a free hydro-static test coming because you are a member of Angie?s list. That service was arranged and completed very quickly as well. The final invoice came with a copy of the engineering report. We saw immediate results as drywall cracks closed up and doors again operate as expected. I am impressed with the price, the process and the professionalism of everyone we interacted with. Eagle Foundation, Inc. is the best and I highly recommend them.

First the positive part, The sales rep was very punctual, examined the property and explained the problem and the proposed solution. The work crew arrived on time and did the work in a professional manner, The negative parts: They tried to move and replant the shrubbery but it did not survive. The cement patches on the driveway do not match the original cement. There was a mix up with the billing. They were so late in sending the bill that my check was returned NSF. I was out of the country, but upon my return the matter was cleared up to everyone's satisfaction.

Eagle first of all sent a representative to my residence to inspect my foundation and draw up an estimate for repair. He was very professional and used a device that set in the central portion of my house. It had a long cord attached with a sensor he took to every room to measure to amount of difference from each point to the central point. The device indicated where raising and support was needed as well as where it was not. The two other companies that gave me estimates didn't use anything to make their determinations and their estimates were considerable higher. Upon handing me the estimate the representative gave me a thorough rundown of how the job would take place and what to expect as far as inconveniences I may experience during the procedure. The work crews arrived and promptly as scheduled and introduced themselves. Upon surveying the layout of my home the forman devised a game plan and advised me of where they would start and what to expect. They were courteous and apologetic when some of my shrubbery had to me moved to carry out the work. After the operation was completed they gave their work area a prompt cleanup and even replanted the items they had to dig up. I had no complaints. Within a few days afterward I received an engineers inspection and approval for my records. They gave me a lifetime guarantee of the work they performed but hopefully I won't need them again. I highly recommend this company.

They did an excellent job. They showed up on time and explained exactly what was going to happen. They had plenty of support staff and were there the whole time. Their price was better than their competitors. They did the job in one day and cleaned everything up afterwards. They were very professional. They leveled the ground all around the house. Great overall experience; they were very up front on how they feel is the best way to repair a foundation crack, and were fast efficient and have a great clean up crew. Pricing was very good; about 70% of the other company I was dealing with. All up it took 3 1/2 days for the entire job. They were gone before we knew it. Great followup at the end of the project, had useful information on additional subs we needed to get to take care of other problems we had with the house. This is unfortuately not my first go with foundation issues and I feel they were by far the best of the lot I have dealt with. I would use them again without hesitation.
Description of Work: Placement of foundation pilings along the margins of the foundation to stabilize the foundation.

The gentleman that gave me the estimate was very professional and seemed to be very knowledgable. The workers were punctual and left my flowers beds nicer than when they started.

I called the company to set up an appointment after we noticed cracked tiles along the kitchen and hall-way leading to the garage. A very cordial woman named Cricket took my call and set me up with an inspection on 11/10/11. On that day, Dean Johnson came out to inspect the foundation of my house. After taking readings in various parts of the house and garage and inspecting the house on the outside, Johnson advised we did not have a foundation problem. Johnson advised that due to the serious drought in south Texas, the foundation shifted which caused the tiles to break and the cracks to appear. However, it was not enough to warrant repair. Johnson advised that should the foundation show cracks after the tile is removed, a procedure can be performed to cure the slab. Johnson advised that his company would perform the procedure for about $700.00 however, most tile or mason repair men can do it for half the cost and the materials are not that expensive. I appreciated Johnson's professionalism and honesty and would gladly call him back in the future for any related work.
Description of Work: Owner Dean Johnson inspected my home for possible foundation problems and to give an estimate. The company was one of three called to inspect the foundation.
