After the installation of the windows was complete and I had paid $9,680, I discovered that one of the windows falls out of the opening when you try to open it. I also discovered that the windstorm inspection was not done. I called Arnold Sanchez, the salesman and general manager, who came out and verified that the window was nonfunctional. He claimed that an engineer had performed the windstorm inspection, but the WPI-8 form for my home is not registered with the Texas Department of Insurance. I sent a letter to the company address that was returned by the Post Office as undeliverable. I went there personally, but all that is there is a junky building that looks like no one has been there in years. I have called and texted Mr. Sanchez several times, and he no longer will answer me nor has he one anything to rectify the situation. I just endured Hurricane Harvey, and this faulty window leaked. I had to worry that the window would fail during the hurricane. I called several engineers and was told that the inspection must be done during installation and since the windows are already installed, they must be removed so that the engineer can see how they were installed. I am pursuing a warranty claim with Simonton, the manufacturer, for the non-functioning window, but it will require another contractor to uninstall and reinstall a new window. This whole process has been frustrating and time consuming and could wind up being expensive for me to resolve.
