It started out when I went through my home warranty company (HW). I made the call on Thursday night. That night the HW informed me that City Wide (CW) would be my service contractor. I understood that when the call went in, it was after business hours that night. I waited until the Friday afternoon and still no call from CW. I had to give them a call. Not a good start. At this point I had paid a buddy to check it out real quick. He told me the fan motor is going out that tripped a safety switch. During the first call with CW I informed them about the diagnostic about the fan from my buddy. During the call CW asked me to go outside and read a few numbers off the unit so that they could see if they have the matching motor. Told me he was busy until late afternoon but he would get out there that day and the call ended. About 430ish that day CW shows up to the property. At the end of the visit CW came out to the same diagnosis as my buddy, fan is going out and tripping the switch. By this time it's a bit after 5, and CW said that they would have to order the the part online and it ma come in by Monday, if I am lucky tomorrow (Saturday) it would be in and he could come out and fix it for me. Well lucky I was not. Saturday came around and no call, Sunday I was not holding my breath. Monday was a different story, I woke up thinking this was the last day of 93 degree temp in my newly procured home. Again lucky was not on my side. I got no call from CW that day, not even a follow up call. I told myself I would not call and wanted to see how long this would take being that I had the call to start this ball rolling the week prior. By Tuesday afternoon I broke down and call at lunch time. CW told me they had the part and we confirmed at time that afternoon for final install and fix. After about an hour and a half from the job started (4:30pm), CW was complete with the job. Paid them the service call fee and we went our ways. 30 min after CW left I was calling them back, the AC was tripping the switch again. CW told me they did not know what was wrong and that they would have to come out the next day. Another night of over 90 degree temp during sleeping hours. Wednesday CW came back out, late afternoon again... CW looked at the unit and I over heard them on the phone say that they pick the wrong one. The RMPs was the issue and causing the unit to trip. CW told me that it was somebody else fault and since it was already late that day, that CW would need to come out the next day to complete the service call. It was not somebody else fault, I over heard he tell a guy on the other end of the phone that he did not pick the OEM that they offered to him. He chose a different motor.at this point I called the HW company and asked them to send me a different tech. They did.
Description of Work: They did leave me out of an AC during record breaking heat inSouth Texas.

I used them through my home warranty company, 210 Home Warranty, and it took them about three weeks to finish the job. They made up all kind of excuses about it and lied about it; they are just bad people. The original service call was October 7 and they did not finally finish up until between October 27 to October 30. They made up a whole bunch of excuses and lied to the insurance company saying they fixed it and they did not. They told the insurance company they replaced the condenser and they did not. This went on for about 20 days without air conditioning. It cost me an additional $300 out of my pocket because this company told me there were portions of the repair which the insurance company did not cover. My home warranty company would not dump the guy. The owner, Mario, knows how to work the system; I still have exposed wires hanging from the unit. I will not use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used City Wide Air Conditioning to repair an air conditioning problem.
