Description of Work: Replaced cover of chimney. They came when they said they would and the price was less then initially quoted because the job wasn't as hard as they first thought. I liked their honesty.

Description of Work: I called and left a message. When the gentleman called back he promised to call me on a Monday set up an appointment. He never called back. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called a second time leaving a message. No returned call. If doesn't how good you think you are. If you can't keep a simple promise to call back I would imagine the services would also be disappointing.

Description of Work: Had these folks out to change our 2 fireplaces from woodburning to glass. They did a wonderful job. Very professional in every way.

Description of Work: I've used CC Chimney and Waterproofing twice. The first they came out was Dec. 15th of 2004 and it was only $34 and the next they came out was on Dec. 21st of 2009 and it was $85. They checked the chimney height and they measured it. They also checked the chimney cap and the spark arrestor, the flashing and the brick siding, the flue liner and moisture resistance. In the fireplace they checked the smoke chamber, the damper, the fire box grate, the spark screen door, the hearth protection, the flue connection, the insulation, the thimble and the clearances. They also checked for other safety considerations like a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, CO alarms, and a fire escape plan.

Description of Work: Very nice service person called before heading to our house. He was able to provide exactly what we needed done and executed repair right then at a very affordable price.

Description of Work: Dryer had not worked properly for some time so I finally realized that the dryer vent pipe which exits through the roof needed cleaning. I looked for the best local company I could find but there was very little information online. I came up with two main choices. I discovered that one company uses a special vacuum to clean the vent while this company, CC Chimney Sweep, uses a long brush on a flexible shaft to dislodge the lint and then they vacuum up what they can dislodge. For this reason I chose CC Chimney Sweep to do this job. It is a father and son business and the son, James, made the service call at the time we had agreed on. He was clean-cut, polite, and professional. He first worked on the roof and discovered that the solid pipe that vents through the roof did not extend down to the dryer level but stopped just above the ceiling level and that a flex hose that is connected to the dryer had been run up to meet the solid pipe, but the flex hose was coiled where the connection was made which made cleaning it more difficult and indicated a lazy job was done when the flexible hose was installed. He went up into our attic, made his way to the kitchen in a very tight space up there, and straightened out the coiled hose and straightened it out as best he could so that it was easier for the vent to operate as it should. It is very hot and uncomfortable to work in an attic in 90 degree weather but James did what needed to be done and we are very grateful for his good work. Lastly, he removed the vent from the dryer and pulled out all the lint he could of what had been dislodged and vacuumed behind the dryer. There was a large clump that came out. Now our dryer works beautifully. The bill was $125. I think it was more than fair and I will call The Chimney Sweep again should the need arise. A job well done.
