APPLIANCE MART

we bought a frigidaire air conditioner/heater from appliance mart. it never did work properly. after 7 days we let them know it wasn't working. would heat, then turn cold within minutes and then turn off. they referred me to frigidaire to have the warranty fix it. we had spent $300 getting it put in. they sent a technician out to check it and said it was the main board and the control board that were bad. the representative from frigidaire said that lowe's and best buy usually replaced it if it wasn't working within 30 days. appliance mart said they couldn't replace it without trying to get it fixed. the air conditioner cost $800 and should have worked right out of the box. we explained that we didn't want to have to pay again to have help putting it in and only wanted the air conditioner and they could keep the frame. they sent out another technician today to see if they came up with the same diagnosis as the other company. it was the same. appliance mart still maintains it needs to be fixed rather than replaced. we have spent thousands of dollars with appliance mart and doesn't seem they would want to lose a customer. we are very displeased with this service. it took us 7 days to report it because the person that helped us to get it in place couldn't get to it right away.
